-from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

-..a colourful character

-from Briton Ferry.

-First, we enter the colourful world

-of the artist, Swci Delic.

-She's currently fighting

-a brain tumour...

-..but Huw found that she is still

-creating some amazing artwork.

-Llandaff is awash with colour...

-..as the Off The Wall gallery hosts

-an exhibition by two artists.

-The visual impact is amazing.

-This is your second exhibition so

-you must have been working non-stop.

-I paint every day and don't think

-too much about what I'll paint.

-It's like a prescription

-as I need this drug every day.

-Your desire to paint

-came out of your illness.

-Yes, and I'm sure everyone

-has heard about it.

-It's great to be able to raise

-awareness about the condition...

-..but also lovely to speak about

-the art that came out of nowhere.

-I don't understand it

-and doubt anyone can explain it.

-Tell us about the amazing colours

-that play with your eyes.

-Yes, and that's the affect

-I wanted it to have.

-The illness made me realize...

-..that colour plays a massive part

-in our lives.

-I didn't know this until I fell ill

-and looked into it.

-I can't tell you where I find

-these colours and patterns.

-I know I want to use every colour

-that comes to mind.

-Swci has also worked with

-another artist for the first time.

-The artist, Eloise Govier contacted

-me and I'm a huge fan of her work.

-It's great to work with an artist

-of the same mind-set.

-We work in the same way

-and it's been incredible.

-The pair has formed a close bond

-in a short space of time.

-It's a wonderful creative marriage

-as both love working with colour.

-It's been interesting and exciting

-to work with someone else...

-..and it felt natural

-to work with Swci.

-I fell in love with Swci's work

-when I saw it online on Twitter.

-When you enter this exhibition,

-you can see how we work together...

-..because both Swci and I are

-passionate about bright colours.

-What's the basis of your work?

-At times, I look at the landscape

-and get inspiration from the land...

-..such as my paintings

-of Port Talbot.

-In this painting, I look at myself

-and think of the body...

-..and visualize the body

-on a molecular level.

-The patterns in your work

-are quite detailed.

-You can't fall out of bed and paint

-because it's a complicated process.

-These patterns come to me...

-..and I have to put them on canvas

-before the next one arrives.

-That's how I work but it is work but

-my prescription and is my therapy.

-It's colour therapy!

-Today, I've come to meet a lady who

-knows how to live life to the full.

-Gwen Cole from Briton Ferry

-is a very unique lady.

-She's a 94-year-old woman

-with the brain of someone who's 20!

-She's mischievous, full of stories

-and I can't repeat her jokes.

-I can't think of anyone better

-to work alongside.

-I've got 26 grandchildren,

-36 great-grandchildren...

-..and five great-great-grandchildren

-so that's five generations.

-I love them all.

-Her son, Kenneth

-comes to see her every day.

-I cook all her food

-and put her to bed before I go home.

-She sends Kenneth to see the ill

-or she visits people in hospital.

-Gwen is one of a kind.

-Gwen loves delving into her wardrobe

-to find clothes for special events.

-Her personality's bonkers

-and she keeps us all on our toes.

-Gwen and her late, husband were

-in a comedy group for many years...

-..and she still enjoys

-telling jokes.

-I'd tell you a joke about butter

-but you might spread it.

-The others are filthy

-and I can't say them!

-Some things are best not said

-because she can be very naughty.

-Today,

-will she be chasing the bad guys?

-With the help of Kenneth or Robin...

-..the Caped Crusaders

-are searching for villains.

-There's no Batmobile but Ken-power!

-She's lucky that Kenneth takes

-her to Porthcawl or for meals.

-First, they need a drink.

-She's a tonic to the boys and

-every time they see her coming...

-Picton Castle in Haverfordwest is

-a big attraction in Pembrokeshire.

-It has 40 acres of woodlands

-and magnificent gardens.

-The walled garden

-dates back to the Victorian era.

-It's set to be restored...

-..thanks to a grant from the

-Heritage Lottery fund of 645,000.

-Welcome to Picton Castle

-and Gardens.

-It's exciting after the HLF grant

-for work on the walls and buildings.

-We have a lot of plans

-for people to see.

-We hope to start the work next year.

-First, we need to find architects

-and designers to work here.

-It's important for us to protect

-the heritage of this area.

-As head gardener...

-..it's been interesting to look into

-the history of these lovely gardens.

-We hope to bring back some of the

-romance and the real intrigue...

-..in the head gardener's office,

-the fruit store...

-..and we'll create some new planting

-that have a real educational base.

-This area is awash with history.

-Yes, it's full of history...

-..about the castle, the gardens

-and local agriculture.

-It's one of the most important sites

-for Pembrokeshire's heritage.

-Pictures of the old garden were lost

-in a fire in the castle in 1935...

-..but there's clues to suggest

-that grapes once grew here.

-The roots were planted outside the

-glasshouse and grew up a pipe...

-..and this is what is left

-of the vines.

-There's a number of certificates

-to mark the garden's successes.

-They give a clearer picture

-of the garden's design and purpose.

-At one time, it was at the heart

-of the whole estate.

-The glasshouses

-were heated using coal fires.

-They grew everything such as flowers

-and fruit from all over the world.

-It's a relatively mild spot

-so they had produce all year round.

-They aim to complete

-this massive project by 2019.

-This is about renovating

-as opposed to rebuilding...

-..with the hope of transporting

-visitors back to the Victorian era.

-It'll be incredible and won't be

-exactly how it once stood...

-..but it will give you a suggestion

-of what happened in the past.

-It will be an excellent place

-for people to enjoy in the future.
