We are getting to the serious end of the tournament. Welcome to the

:01:23.:01:29.

second Wednesday at Wimbledon for men's quarterfinal day. The

:01:30.:01:33.

excitement is building as we await the eight men who have made their

:01:34.:01:36.

way through and still have their sights on the title but by the end

:01:37.:01:42.

of the day, it will become four. Roger Federer is a man looking to

:01:43.:01:46.

reach his 11th semifinal and is on a mission for a record eighth title.

:01:47.:01:54.

Marin Cilic is his opponent and the big serving Croatian knows what it

:01:55.:01:58.

takes to be Federer and win a Grand Slam. Tomas Berdych loves the grass.

:01:59.:02:05.

He made the final in 2010 and has the Game to trouble anyone. Today,

:02:06.:02:12.

he faces Frenchman Lucas Pouille who has never won a match on grass

:02:13.:02:15.

before last week but his potential is proven. Slamming Sam Querrey has

:02:16.:02:26.

been in the form of his life. The big American dumped out Novak

:02:27.:02:31.

Djokovic and has the serve and the nerve to go all the way. He plays

:02:32.:02:37.

Milos Raonic. The classy Canadian came back from two sets down to

:02:38.:02:44.

prove he is tough and talented. And for the fourth and final match,

:02:45.:02:49.

popular Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, twice a semifinalist and a

:02:50.:02:52.

man with a dangerous grass court game. He takes on Britain's Andy

:02:53.:03:03.

Murray. The 2013 champion is looking to reach the last four for the

:03:04.:03:07.

seventh time. He is yet to drop a set. He will have the Centre Court

:03:08.:03:14.

crowd on his side but Tsonga is a tough opponent. What a day and what

:03:15.:03:21.

four matchups to look forward to. First on Centre Court is the man

:03:22.:03:27.

himself, Roger Federer, up against a dangerous opponent in Marin Cilic,

:03:28.:03:31.

who has Goran Ivanisevic in his corner. Over on Court Number One at

:03:32.:03:41.

1pm, Sam Querrey is in his first Grand Slam quarterfinal, up against

:03:42.:03:45.

Milos Raonic, who knows all about the big occasion. And Tomas Berdych

:03:46.:03:50.

is playing his fourth day in a row against Lucas Pouille. And there is

:03:51.:03:58.

live pictures of Andy Murray out on his favoured practice court with his

:03:59.:04:05.

coach and he has had a steely determination throughout these

:04:06.:04:08.

championships, not being drawn into the fact he is favourite for the

:04:09.:04:12.

title now that Novak Djokovic is out of the tournament. But Andy Murray

:04:13.:04:20.

will be on court, that is our late entertainment, Andy Murray against

:04:21.:04:22.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. What a match to look forward to. Murray is out

:04:23.:04:30.

there, as is Sam Querrey, who has been rejuvenated with his coach. He

:04:31.:04:34.

wants to stay aggressive when it gets tight and he has certainly

:04:35.:04:39.

proven that. He will be first on Court Number One. Two big servers.

:04:40.:04:48.

He and Raonic have served 198 aces between them at the championship.

:04:49.:04:52.

This is the scene at Court Two and we will be heading there live at

:04:53.:04:59.

midday today. It is a doubles match. Joe Colton and Maria Sanchez. It

:05:00.:05:06.

will be on the red button when that match gets underway and we will be

:05:07.:05:12.

there after 12pm. We have made our way above Henman Hill and we are

:05:13.:05:16.

joined by former champion Richard Krajicek. Nice of you to dress up

:05:17.:05:24.

for us. Two things happened. I was practising and I am going to the

:05:25.:05:31.

Royal box. So we don't matter? Tim is on the committee and he said it

:05:32.:05:37.

is OK. You have been a busy man, coaching and playing in the

:05:38.:05:42.

tournament. I have been busy. Now my days are really full. Let's take you

:05:43.:05:51.

back to that victory in 1996. How special was that day and that Grand

:05:52.:05:55.

Slam win? It was a very special day. When I beat Pete in the

:05:56.:06:05.

quarterfinals,, I win this point and it was for me and amazing moment. I

:06:06.:06:12.

dream about it, I saw beyond Borg winning in the late 70s, and

:06:13.:06:17.

suddenly you are hoping for it for yourself so it was a great win. You

:06:18.:06:24.

have not changed at all. In the sunshine you don't see the grey

:06:25.:06:28.

hair. Talk about the match with Pete. What was the score in that

:06:29.:06:33.

one? It was close. It was straight sets. In the first set, Pete was the

:06:34.:06:40.

better player. I was lucky to hang in there until 5-5. I made a break

:06:41.:06:45.

and the game really changed. Then there was an incident with the rain.

:06:46.:06:53.

They pulled the cover and one of them fell under the cover so they

:06:54.:06:59.

had to pull the cover back and then the rain... And then we had to come

:07:00.:07:06.

back the next day. Then you start thinking about it, is this what

:07:07.:07:11.

happens? Will this go wrong? But I came back and it was a good feeling.

:07:12.:07:15.

We don't want to bring up the rain with your match? Thank you. 1996 was

:07:16.:07:22.

the first year I played well at Wimbledon and that was in the middle

:07:23.:07:27.

of beat Sampras' domination. This was the only man to be able to beat

:07:28.:07:31.

him. He had a tough loss the following year though. I don't

:07:32.:07:37.

remember that! I played very well in the first three matches. I got a

:07:38.:07:43.

taste of the British crowd. That was really good. It was actually a good

:07:44.:07:51.

memory. I was unhappy but it was really nice to play against a

:07:52.:07:55.

British player. The crowd was really into it. The best thing is when you

:07:56.:07:59.

beat the British player because then they are nice and quiet. Andy Murray

:08:00.:08:04.

is going to have the British crowd on his side. We have had one massive

:08:05.:08:10.

shock and a number of assets. It is a different line-up in this

:08:11.:08:14.

quarterfinal. It is a bit strange. You don't know who to pick. Novak

:08:15.:08:22.

Djokovic losing. The last two years, he has dominated. Although he had to

:08:23.:08:25.

fight through last year against Anderson. He was two sets down. The

:08:26.:08:33.

second set was terrible. But all credit to Querrey. He was tough and

:08:34.:08:41.

he managed to break and he took advantage of Novak Djokovic not

:08:42.:08:47.

being at his best. Last year, against Anderson, and this year

:08:48.:08:52.

against Simon in the Australian Open, he made 104th errors and still

:08:53.:08:59.

Novak wins. No Novak in the second week. Does that change the dynamics

:09:00.:09:02.

of the tournament for the players in the locker room? Absolutely. There

:09:03.:09:08.

are so many different aspects of the draw that can have an impact. Andy

:09:09.:09:14.

Murray is in the other half so the only way it is going to have an

:09:15.:09:19.

impact on him is if he gets to the final. But everyone is saying he is

:09:20.:09:23.

the favourite so it must affect him. He is the favourite. The way Murray

:09:24.:09:33.

and Novak Djokovic have played this year, many of us were predicting

:09:34.:09:39.

another final between them but Murray is very experienced and he is

:09:40.:09:42.

very good at controlling the things he can control. What is happening in

:09:43.:09:47.

the other half of the draw, he can't control. He lost control for about

:09:48.:09:52.

three minutes because when it came on the screen in Centre Court, you

:09:53.:09:59.

drop his serve. The only lapse in confrontation during the whole

:10:00.:10:03.

tournament. It hit him for five minutes and now he is back to normal

:10:04.:10:09.

again. In the top half of the draw, Federer is trying to play himself

:10:10.:10:13.

into form in this tournament. He has not played a massive amount of

:10:14.:10:17.

tennis. But with all due respect, he has not really been challenged.

:10:18.:10:26.

Willis? He had the crowd support. This man has not dropped a set

:10:27.:10:30.

either. We are going to look through all four matches on the show courts

:10:31.:10:35.

today. He is taking on Jo-Wilfried Tsonga today. Russell Fuller has

:10:36.:10:40.

broken to him about his progress through the championship and his

:10:41.:10:46.

dominant victory over Nick Kyrgios. The most eagerly anticipated

:10:47.:10:48.

confrontation of Wimbledon 2016 so far.

:10:49.:10:57.

The first set was tough. He hit high 80% on the first serve and to see

:10:58.:11:04.

that setup was big for me. It has been a good start. I have played

:11:05.:11:10.

well in the important moments in all of the matches and it has been good.

:11:11.:11:16.

You have got a very good record against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and

:11:17.:11:21.

against French players. What particular challenges as he

:11:22.:11:25.

presents? He is a magnificent athlete, he is well suited to grass,

:11:26.:11:29.

he likes to come to the net, he likes to come forward so he is very

:11:30.:11:34.

explosive. He can hit winners from all over the court. Sometimes he is

:11:35.:11:42.

a little bit about down during the matches so it is always tough

:11:43.:11:47.

against him. When there are a few surprises in Grand Slams as there

:11:48.:11:51.

have been this week with players like Novak Djokovic and Stan

:11:52.:11:55.

Wawrinka beaten early, are you good at staying in the moment and not

:11:56.:12:00.

getting ahead of yourself or is that where your coaches come in? Your

:12:01.:12:03.

coaches can definitely help with that, for sure. I have also been on

:12:04.:12:10.

the tour for 11 or 12 years now so you know best how to deal with that

:12:11.:12:14.

and you get distracted at this level, it can cost you.

:12:15.:12:19.

He is a great tactician but he is a different person encore when Ivan

:12:20.:12:25.

Lendl is in the box. He is definitely more focused. There has

:12:26.:12:31.

been less volatility, less chat. But that is also a reflection of the way

:12:32.:12:35.

he has played in the last ten weeks. In the clay-court season, he played

:12:36.:12:40.

so well from Madrid onwards. He won Rome, he made the final of the

:12:41.:12:45.

French Open for the first time and lost to Novak Djokovic. Although it

:12:46.:12:49.

is a different surface, it is a great foundation, because grass is

:12:50.:12:53.

all about baseline rallies now. That foundation has been in place for a

:12:54.:12:58.

while but when he looks at the box and sees Ivan Lendl sitting there,

:12:59.:13:02.

it probably means he is less inclined to rant and rave. I think

:13:03.:13:08.

he applauded him twice in his last match. He is a tough man to please

:13:09.:13:12.

but he has certainly made an impact on Murray and he is asking him to be

:13:13.:13:20.

more aggressive. For sure. Now it is a strategy but also mental because

:13:21.:13:27.

Ivan Lendl is in his box. When they work together, he has really told

:13:28.:13:32.

Andy, be more aggressive, because sometimes Andy, when he was behind

:13:33.:13:36.

the baseline, and you hit the ball as hard as possible, that is

:13:37.:13:40.

aggressive, but that is counterpunching, which is also very

:13:41.:13:44.

good. But now he takes the game to the opponent. It is tough to play

:13:45.:13:51.

him. He plays so quick. But then as a backhand, he makes unbelievable

:13:52.:13:55.

angles. I would not know where to play. I think I would play up the

:13:56.:13:59.

middle against him because once he gets an angle, he gets more angle

:14:00.:14:05.

back. It is terrible to play but that is why he is number two. And he

:14:06.:14:10.

can use the angles because he is so fast himself, he can run everything

:14:11.:14:15.

down. He is so good at getting the ball back into play and that is

:14:16.:14:17.

something he did so well against Nick Kyrgios. If he needs to defend,

:14:18.:14:24.

his movement is so good, his balance is a good and he has the dexterity,

:14:25.:14:28.

the feel on the shots to get the ball back in awkward positions for

:14:29.:14:33.

his opponent. He is certainly in a good spot by now. He is a great

:14:34.:14:39.

defender. His first serve is very good, his second serve much better.

:14:40.:14:43.

A couple of years ago, his second serve was really slow and nobody

:14:44.:14:48.

could hit him of the court. He has that slice where he is almost on the

:14:49.:14:52.

defence. It is low and away from you. And because of that field, he

:14:53.:15:00.

also has great follies. For me, especially the backhand volley, it

:15:01.:15:05.

is unbelievable. He also knows exactly where to hit it, when to go

:15:06.:15:09.

deep, when to make a short angle. There are so many good things about

:15:10.:15:14.

Andy. And we have seen that in the Davis Cup when he has played doubles

:15:15.:15:19.

with his brother. High praise from a Wimbledon champion. But from one

:15:20.:15:24.

great athlete to another and that is his opponent today, Jo-Wilfried

:15:25.:15:28.

Tsonga. He is also one of the great entertainers.

:15:29.:15:32.

I will do everything to be perfect for the next round.

:15:33.:15:36.

I am playing well, it is going to continue and the most important

:15:37.:15:41.

thing is to be consistent. An incredible start by the

:15:42.:15:42.

Frenchman. That is amazing!

:15:43.:15:55.

It is Jo-Wilfried Tsonga who goes through.

:15:56.:15:58.

What a wonderful tennis rally. A stunning return.

:15:59.:16:15.

Wonderful. Game, set and match, Tsonga.

:16:16.:16:23.

It is going to be a challenge but I am feeling good.

:16:24.:16:28.

He has won some great matches at Wimbledon and grass court pedigree.

:16:29.:16:31.

We were just reflecting on that match against Roger Federer two

:16:32.:16:37.

years ago and he was down two sets. It is very unusual to say Roger

:16:38.:16:43.

Federer is bullied on a grass court. If his serve and his forehand are

:16:44.:16:46.

working, he is difficult to play against because he has so much

:16:47.:16:51.

firepower. Whether he has the consistency to trouble Marie, we

:16:52.:16:56.

will have to wait and see. John Isner, 19-17 in the fifth set. When

:16:57.:17:02.

I saw that the match ended early against which a gas gay, I thought

:17:03.:17:06.

it was Tsonga because he had played a long gap -- long game. But it was

:17:07.:17:15.

his opponent who had to pull out. But it was good for him because he

:17:16.:17:20.

did not have a day to recover. John McEnroe said he would be delighted

:17:21.:17:28.

with it. Trying to break his serve is richly impossible. Also, in the

:17:29.:17:34.

referee's office, there was big concern about this because we had

:17:35.:17:37.

been playing catch-up in the first week because of the rain and then

:17:38.:17:43.

when you see John is at 16-16 in the faith, we might be here until the

:17:44.:17:47.

third Wednesday. We were certainly pleased to see a winner from that

:17:48.:17:52.

match. Looking at the head to head, it is 12-2 for Andy Murray. How good

:17:53.:18:02.

is his return? The backhand is a little bit of bounce down. He can be

:18:03.:18:08.

a little bit erratic with it. Murray needs to be able to pressure on the

:18:09.:18:12.

backhand all time. And I think Murray has a better return than

:18:13.:18:17.

Federer. I don't think it will happen, what happened to Federer a

:18:18.:18:27.

couple of years ago. Murray is going to return better, he is going to hit

:18:28.:18:31.

more balls to the backhand and then he is going to feel pressure to do

:18:32.:18:35.

something with the backhand. If it is too easy at the first shot,

:18:36.:18:40.

Murray is going to put pressure on you. Unless he serves aces all the

:18:41.:18:45.

time, it is going to be Murray's match in four sets. Murray. Tsonga

:18:46.:18:55.

has got to attack, hasn't he? If he can serve and blade forehands, he

:18:56.:18:59.

can be aggressive, but the reality is, Murray is so good at defending,

:19:00.:19:05.

he is going to add to take a risk on Tsonga's backhand and that is where

:19:06.:19:09.

he is a bit erratic. I don't think he has the technique to deliver

:19:10.:19:15.

that. I see Murray delivering in three tight sets, maybe four. First

:19:16.:19:20.

on is Roger Federer. He was a practising earlier this morning.

:19:21.:19:25.

Well, just looking like a stroll in the park. But he knows all about

:19:26.:19:29.

that. He was out on court with his coach. He is first on Centre Court

:19:30.:19:35.

today and he takes on Marin Cilic, a former US Open champion. If you

:19:36.:19:41.

think that seems easy, think again. I don't believe that! That was

:19:42.:19:49.

extraordinary. It is the perfect way to get to the

:19:50.:19:53.

quarters. I never thought I was going to lose sets. I thought I

:19:54.:19:57.

might lose in the first three at Wimbledon because I came in with

:19:58.:20:01.

really low expectations and I didn't just say that to say it, Irene meant

:20:02.:20:07.

it. But I did not know where I was. It was never flowing. It was never

:20:08.:20:12.

quite happening. I was fighting with my body, with my confidence,

:20:13.:20:17.

everything, so I came to Wimbledon just hoping it was going to be OK

:20:18.:20:21.

and if I got through the first week, who knows? Roger has had so much

:20:22.:20:28.

success over the years at Wimbledon and the grass is perfect for his

:20:29.:20:32.

game and he enjoys playing on it but it is going to be our first meeting

:20:33.:20:37.

on grass. It is the quarterfinals, it is a big one. We have not played

:20:38.:20:44.

since the US Open in 2014. I have great memories since then and I am

:20:45.:20:47.

in a position where I am playing well, I am very confident and I am

:20:48.:20:51.

looking forward to playing a great match. He has got a bigger serve and

:20:52.:20:57.

he is quite dangerous off the return as well because he just swings at it

:20:58.:21:02.

and when he goes red hot like he did at the US Open, he blew me off the

:21:03.:21:06.

court. I would not say it happened like that but I had a really amazing

:21:07.:21:14.

day that time and with Roger, definitely, it is always very

:21:15.:21:18.

tricky. He is a player that possesses many great things in his

:21:19.:21:24.

game, different shots and his ability to play all different types

:21:25.:21:30.

of games so you have to be ready for everything and to play tactically

:21:31.:21:34.

well. I have got to find a way to make him feel uncomfortable. We

:21:35.:21:38.

practised her ten days ago and he was playing really well so I am not

:21:39.:21:41.

surprised to see him in the quarters as well.

:21:42.:21:44.

Roger Federer saying he was not sure about the first week, but he looked

:21:45.:21:50.

all right, didn't he? I think the first round was his toughest

:21:51.:21:55.

challenge. It was the first day, a green grass court, it did not look

:21:56.:21:59.

like his movement was pitifully good, he was not timing the ball

:22:00.:22:02.

perfectly, but he found a way to get through that. He had Willis in the

:22:03.:22:07.

second round who played a very unorthodox game, made him run a lot

:22:08.:22:11.

and that really loosened him up. It is definitely going to be a proper

:22:12.:22:16.

challenge today. He had a potentially tough opponent in Steve

:22:17.:22:20.

Johnson who did well on the grass in the build-up. He had some big shots

:22:21.:22:27.

but Federer had all the answers. There were some big shots but he

:22:28.:22:34.

stays back. He has the forehand, he was going to make a few, I thought

:22:35.:22:38.

Roger was going to chop him up with his life. The backhand was not

:22:39.:22:43.

really good enough to hurt Roger. And when Roger was coming in, when

:22:44.:22:49.

Steve was coming in, his volleys were not good enough. A big serve, a

:22:50.:22:55.

big forehand, I thought he might win a set, but I was not surprised by

:22:56.:23:01.

this result. And Roger seemed to be coming forward more. Stefan Edberg

:23:02.:23:04.

came to watch him, he is not coaching him any more, but a big

:23:05.:23:10.

friend. There are two sides to that. Grass gives you the best opportunity

:23:11.:23:15.

to really be offensive but also, Roger's age, some of the injuries he

:23:16.:23:20.

has had, his defensive skills are going to suffer so he does not want

:23:21.:23:24.

to be three or four feet behind the baseline, he has got to be

:23:25.:23:28.

aggressive and he can set that up with a good serve and dictating with

:23:29.:23:32.

his forehand. It is that proactive, reactive will stop and playing Marin

:23:33.:23:39.

Cilic, even Roger said he blew him away at the US Open. He served a

:23:40.:23:44.

unbelievable and it was Roger's big chance to win another Grand Slam

:23:45.:23:48.

because Novak lost. That means there is a chance for everybody. Marin

:23:49.:23:54.

Cilic decided to hit aces for three sets. He is dangerous still but I

:23:55.:24:01.

think he does not move so well on the grass. Unless he serves

:24:02.:24:08.

unbelievable, I think Roger will win this. But it normally depends on

:24:09.:24:17.

Roger, how he plays. But I still think Roger is going to win this. He

:24:18.:24:22.

impressed me with the way he has played. But it could be a tough five

:24:23.:24:29.

set match. He took Novak to five set three years ago. He has got Goran

:24:30.:24:33.

Ivanisevic in his corner. That is when he won the US Open, with

:24:34.:24:38.

Koranic there. He has given him believe he can win these matches.

:24:39.:24:43.

Getting involved, the ex-players, it is not necessarily about teaching

:24:44.:24:47.

them to hit new shots, it is about the strategy and psychology of

:24:48.:24:50.

playing in the second week of Grand Slams and there is no doubt Goran

:24:51.:24:55.

Ivanisevic played a big part in Marin Cilic winning the US Open.

:24:56.:25:01.

Once he caused the big upset against Federer, he was always to go out and

:25:02.:25:06.

finish the job. It is that difference because they are all such

:25:07.:25:09.

great players but having the belief to go on and win the title is in

:25:10.:25:16.

here. It is mental also. And also it is a little bit to do with tennis.

:25:17.:25:21.

Sometimes a player can have too much respect for the opponent. On grass,

:25:22.:25:29.

it is not bad to come in sometimes. You have got to keep going. You have

:25:30.:25:36.

got to ask the question all the time, can you pass me? It is a

:25:37.:25:41.

combination of those things. Boris Becker has improved Novak's volleys.

:25:42.:25:46.

One of the reasons he played serve and volley was because Stefan Edberg

:25:47.:25:50.

joke Roger to play serve and volley. Now he feels much more confident at

:25:51.:26:01.

the net. Sometimes Marin Cilic was too impressed with his opponents. He

:26:02.:26:07.

has got a big game, even a guy like Roger Federer does not like to play

:26:08.:26:11.

you. When you slowly have the belief, you can start beating these

:26:12.:26:16.

players. Talking of the super coaches, we lost Routledge has John

:26:17.:26:20.

McEnroe. He takes on Sam Querrey over on Court Number One. Raonic

:26:21.:26:26.

came back from two sets down against David Goffin in the last round and

:26:27.:26:29.

he is an ominous presence in the top half of the draw.

:26:30.:26:37.

John McEnroe is quoted as saying if you can find between one and 2%,

:26:38.:26:44.

everybody should be frightened. Do you think you are close to that? I

:26:45.:26:53.

am making a difference each and every match. Today was a big step

:26:54.:26:59.

forward for me mentally. And physically making that comeback. And

:27:00.:27:05.

I am sure I can play better in the next match and I hope to do so. Give

:27:06.:27:13.

us a little insight into what you are thinking when you are two sets

:27:14.:27:18.

down. If I am going to go out, it is going to be on my terms. Not

:27:19.:27:24.

everything was looking good and playing these long rallies, but that

:27:25.:27:28.

is not what I want to do, not only for myself but for my opponent. I

:27:29.:27:33.

tried to be more aggressive and take the match away from him, not give

:27:34.:27:36.

him so much rhythm during the points. A lot of people will focus

:27:37.:27:42.

on how strong your service, how fast it is, but there are other parts of

:27:43.:27:45.

your game that are getting better and better. How pleased by you with

:27:46.:27:50.

that aspect? I am doing a lot of things well and I am constantly

:27:51.:27:54.

trying to improve in every aspect, whether that be from my footwork to

:27:55.:27:59.

technical things, mental things, physical things. All these things I

:28:00.:28:02.

am endlessly looking to get better each and every day and I think it is

:28:03.:28:10.

showing. Sam Querrey is your next opponent. Give us your thoughts on

:28:11.:28:16.

the challenges you face. He has been playing well, creating the big

:28:17.:28:21.

storyline, the big upset, over Novak, and he has backed that up

:28:22.:28:24.

against a very difficult grass court player so he is doing a lot of good

:28:25.:28:30.

things well. I hope I can continue to do so as well and play the match

:28:31.:28:35.

on my terms. We have turned him into a bit of a

:28:36.:28:39.

monster there. He is a really nice guy. He has been serving well,

:28:40.:28:44.

coming back from two sets down for the first time in his career. No

:28:45.:28:49.

doubt about it. It is going to be a big boost to its confidence because

:28:50.:28:53.

David Goffin is a good player. Looking down the barrel of defeat,

:28:54.:28:58.

he was able to turn it around. When he played Murray in the final of

:28:59.:29:03.

Queen's, he is able to take the game out of his opponent's hands because

:29:04.:29:07.

he has got one of the best serves in the game. He is able to serve up 140

:29:08.:29:13.

mph continuously. If you can't get the return, it is difficult to make

:29:14.:29:18.

an impact. The question is whether he can maintain that consistency

:29:19.:29:21.

against the best players over five sets but he is certainly in a good

:29:22.:29:27.

position right now. He said John McEnroe has told him he has got to

:29:28.:29:31.

have more of an order on the court and impose himself more. It is also

:29:32.:29:37.

important and it goes together, I think he plays too much from the

:29:38.:29:45.

back still. To be two sets down against David Goffin, credit to him,

:29:46.:29:50.

but Milos Raonic decided to hardly serve and volley and then it is

:29:51.:29:54.

tough. It is very tough to move when you are tall but on grass it makes

:29:55.:29:59.

it even worse. Slowly he got a bit more aggressive but the key for him

:30:00.:30:06.

is to come in. He played two years ago against Federer but these guys

:30:07.:30:10.

are too good. You can't beat a player like David Goffin not coming

:30:11.:30:14.

into much but he has got to get ready to serve and volley because

:30:15.:30:17.

the ball comes quicker so if he gets to the semis, if he is going to play

:30:18.:30:23.

Federer, which I predict he will win, then he has got to come in

:30:24.:30:27.

because from the back it is going to be a nice match to watch but he is

:30:28.:30:32.

going to lose. But when you are not a natural volley coming forward, it

:30:33.:30:37.

is learning the step, it is not easy.

:30:38.:30:41.

It isn't and at this stage, sometimes in a tournament, against

:30:42.:30:48.

the very best players, you have got to be prepared to step outside your

:30:49.:30:54.

comfort zone. When you think about the things he is stepping into, with

:30:55.:30:59.

a seven folly, he doesn't need to do that all the time. Sometimes he can

:31:00.:31:05.

set up the heat after the serve. If he is coming in on a bluff, he will

:31:06.:31:11.

"He doesn't move so well, he's not agile at the net, but if he can

:31:12.:31:22.

execute his first shot, you are not giving someone might Federer his

:31:23.:31:26.

opportunity to use all that he can do. And it is like a new Sam Querrey

:31:27.:31:34.

we are seeing today? We saw the old Sam Querrey at some point in the

:31:35.:31:37.

match when he was hitting the bottom of the net when he was at a chance

:31:38.:31:44.

to break, but in the tie-break, he took his chance. He really made a

:31:45.:31:50.

step. If he has the opportunity today against Raonic, I think he

:31:51.:31:55.

will take it. Mentally, it was very big for him and it will help him for

:31:56.:31:59.

the rest of the year. I think all so having beaten docker pitch, there

:32:00.:32:05.

was an enormous amount of pressure on his shoulders. No one had beaten

:32:06.:32:16.

Novak for a year and then he had to play Mahut, again, pressured, and

:32:17.:32:24.

now that he is playing Raonic, I think the pressure is of Querrey a

:32:25.:32:27.

little bit. He will be a formidable match for anyone. Being a big

:32:28.:32:33.

server, how difficult is it playing another player like that? It

:32:34.:32:39.

depends. It is not so nice to play a big server and normally I was the

:32:40.:32:49.

one giving that to the opponent, but suddenly when the opponent is doing

:32:50.:32:53.

that to you, you can be setup and still not be hitting the ball today.

:32:54.:32:57.

It will be a really enjoyable match to watch? If somebody wins the set

:32:58.:33:10.

and doesn't say anything, it is possible to say the person who loses

:33:11.:33:13.

the set actually feel they were playing better than the other guy.

:33:14.:33:17.

There will be a viewpoint is here and there, that's what I expect. I

:33:18.:33:23.

can't call this one. For me, this is a tough one. When you are playing,

:33:24.:33:30.

if there are two players who have a very big serve, when a half chance

:33:31.:33:36.

is offered up, you really have to be ready for it because that might be

:33:37.:33:40.

your only chance in the set. One more quarter to talk about and that

:33:41.:33:46.

is Thomas Berdych against Lucas pulled. We had over two the mark

:33:47.:33:56.

veggie now. You could be forgiven for wondering

:33:57.:34:01.

just how much Lucas Pouille is. He has already surpassed his

:34:02.:34:06.

expectations by reaching this stage. What can you tell us? He had not won

:34:07.:34:13.

a grass court match coming in to this year's Wimbledon but he moved

:34:14.:34:19.

to Dubai so he could practice with Roger Federer and he is with the

:34:20.:34:26.

best coach in France and he said he was watching him practice one day,

:34:27.:34:34.

from 1pm to 6pm, and he suddenly thought the hard work was showing

:34:35.:34:41.

that it was paying off. Some of the French guys say that he is more like

:34:42.:34:46.

a Spaniard with his workrate. Is there enough in his armoury at the

:34:47.:34:50.

moment? Thomas is one of the biggest hitters out on the till and he has

:34:51.:34:59.

gone back out -- gone back to his old racket. Lucas does not handle

:35:00.:35:05.

pace that well and defend. I will have to go to with Berdych for the

:35:06.:35:13.

win, but Lucas has already really surprised us. We can see behind us

:35:14.:35:18.

that he is hitting with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga he will play Andy Murray

:35:19.:35:25.

later today. To Frenchman -- to French men who will be playing later

:35:26.:35:29.

this month in the Davis Cup and surely that is a big thing as well?

:35:30.:35:37.

His coat has always said he is one of the best players. The workrate

:35:38.:35:43.

that he has has propelled him to this stage. Being picked for Davis

:35:44.:35:48.

Cup for France is a big deal, as is the respect that that brings. There

:35:49.:35:52.

is such strength and depth in the men's game. Is that still the case

:35:53.:35:55.

even though Richard Gasquet is injured? It just keeps producing

:35:56.:36:01.

time and time again and it continues to do so. They are looking for the

:36:02.:36:05.

Grand Slam winner that they haven't had for a feud years and they have

:36:06.:36:10.

two shots at it here to date with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Lucas. What

:36:11.:36:16.

do you make of the match? Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Andy Murray

:36:17.:36:23.

know each other very well. They do. Andy is great on the return and he

:36:24.:36:28.

direct a lot to the double hander of Job, which is a weakness. He would

:36:29.:36:35.

like to hit forehand and backhand but he doesn't have that luxury. I

:36:36.:36:40.

am not sure and will allow him an match. Is this the difference

:36:41.:36:46.

between two generations of French tennis at the moment? I think you

:36:47.:36:52.

are right. We have got somebody like Tsonga at 31 years of age and Lucas

:36:53.:36:57.

coming up who is younger. Something I have always admired about the

:36:58.:37:00.

French is not publicly they have always had a wonderful team ethic.

:37:01.:37:04.

They all seem to get on on the tiller and you can see them out

:37:05.:37:07.

there today, getting on and wishing each other the best. Let's bring it

:37:08.:37:12.

back firstly to Lucas Pouille. He had never won a grass court to match

:37:13.:37:20.

before and he said he had exceeded his own expectations. He has got a

:37:21.:37:26.

good game for grass. He was a game and a set down and it was a good

:37:27.:37:35.

win. I was more surprised by the Tomic win. Tomic is a great grass

:37:36.:37:41.

court player and mentally he is very strong. To be honest, I haven't seen

:37:42.:37:50.

him play very much, but Tim watched that game, so he can analyse it for

:37:51.:37:56.

us now. That is kind of you. I think I have seen as much of him as you

:37:57.:38:03.

have! It is about his attitude. Sometimes with the French players

:38:04.:38:10.

with a lot of flair but they don't have the mental side of it. He has

:38:11.:38:14.

been putting the hour within and his hard work on the practice court is

:38:15.:38:19.

paying off in this fortnight. Thomas Berdych has been a busy man the last

:38:20.:38:24.

few days, hasn't he? He had a classic two days ago and had to and

:38:25.:38:28.

finish it yesterday. It was an amazing match with two match points.

:38:29.:38:36.

I was a bit upset -- he was a bit upset that he didn't finish on

:38:37.:38:43.

Centre Court, because he missed a day off but because it was a

:38:44.:38:47.

relatively quick set, maybe it was nice to practice -- to play a real

:38:48.:38:52.

set rather than practice. I don't think it will hurt him too much. You

:38:53.:38:59.

get a feeling with Lucas Pouille that he had a good game on grass but

:39:00.:39:06.

Thomas Berdych is such a big hitter. Berdych will be the one who decides

:39:07.:39:11.

this match, whether he can get his first service percentage in and hit

:39:12.:39:13.

the back of the court. He is a really impressive ball striker. He

:39:14.:39:19.

really can strike the ball through the court. He saw his reaction

:39:20.:39:23.

there. I was interested to read that he hadn't lost to another player

:39:24.:39:26.

from the Czech Republic for ten years and he was a vis the keen to

:39:27.:39:33.

keep him in his place. Lucas Pouille he will now be on a big show court,

:39:34.:39:39.

his first Grand Slam quarterfinal. Surely the occasion will get to him

:39:40.:39:43.

a little bit? Maybe a little bit and he is a different kind of player.

:39:44.:39:51.

Everything is going to be different. He is in form. He has won four

:39:52.:39:57.

matches but you have to expect for Berdych to win this unless he comes

:39:58.:40:01.

out playing terrible, which can happen. The only thing I can see

:40:02.:40:06.

where he has a problem, where Federer chops him up, is if you can

:40:07.:40:10.

get low slices to his forehand. He really doesn't like that. I don't

:40:11.:40:15.

know if Pouille can really managed to do that. Tim, I will put you on

:40:16.:40:24.

the spot later, but as Richard is going to the Royal box, we are going

:40:25.:40:28.

to make you suffer now. Please give me the ball winners today. Federer

:40:29.:40:40.

or Cilic? Federer. Murray. Raonic. And Pouille. I was thinking of

:40:41.:40:52.

saying Cilic but then I was thinking I was saying before that Federer is

:40:53.:40:55.

going to win and I can't change my mind now. It is not like British

:40:56.:41:00.

politics. You can't just change of mind. I'm off now. He has to go.

:41:01.:41:08.

He's got to be in the Royal box in half an hour. Go. I have two shower.

:41:09.:41:16.

I wasn't going to mention that part yes. Keep the flies off. I put

:41:17.:41:27.

Richard Krajicek on the spot and now I am going to put Carol on the spot.

:41:28.:41:33.

Exactly the same as Tim's. I am sticking with them. Lovely weather

:41:34.:41:37.

today. Lovely blue skies. A little more clout will develop and the

:41:38.:41:43.

breeze is lighter than yesterday, so it feels much warmer. When the crowd

:41:44.:41:48.

-- cloud comes across, you will notice a dip in temperature, but

:41:49.:41:53.

even into the winter -- evening, it will stage right with sunny spells.

:41:54.:42:01.

Both Doctor Mara, temperatures up to 20, possibly 21, -- by tomorrow,

:42:02.:42:11.

temperatures up to 20, possibly 21, dry with sunny spells, and on

:42:12.:42:18.

Friday, we may start to see some spots of rain. For the weekend, it

:42:19.:42:22.

could become blustery and turning a bit more humid at times as well,

:42:23.:42:27.

see. It is not bad at all. After last weekend and weak, it is a lot

:42:28.:42:35.

better. Blustery conditions could be difficult? Yes, you have to play

:42:36.:42:41.

more cautiously when it is like that. You can't go quite so close to

:42:42.:42:46.

the lines. The players have had a lot to do with this tournament so

:42:47.:42:50.

far with all the rain delays, so that will just be another one for

:42:51.:42:58.

them to think about. Richard was in such a rush because you can't be

:42:59.:43:02.

late for the Royal box. No, I hope you was going to shower and change

:43:03.:43:07.

because you can't turn up like that! We are going to bring you some life

:43:08.:43:13.

tennis now because -- live tennis now because play is underway. That

:43:14.:43:17.

is the order of play on the show court today.

:43:18.:43:41.

We are heading out to court to for a women's double match. Right at the

:43:42.:43:51.

top, mighty kneeling guests and Mozart have been pretty much

:43:52.:43:56.

invincible. The Williams sisters came through yesterday.

:43:57.:44:08.

We are going to court to to watch Konta and Sanchez play Abbas and

:44:09.:44:18.

should read other. Let's join Lindsay Davenport and

:44:19.:44:25.

Matt Chilton. An interesting start to this match

:44:26.:44:41.

on Court Two, the sunken court. That is at the edge of the All-England

:44:42.:44:48.

Club. Based in beautiful afternoon sunshine now. For breaks of serve

:44:49.:44:49.

already. This match has been characterised by

:44:50.:45:04.

breaks of serve and a few nerves. Joanna Konta playing with Maria

:45:05.:45:11.

Sanchez of the US. The team of Babos and Shvedova got

:45:12.:45:38.

off to a slow start, but came back from a deficit and now they are a

:45:39.:45:42.

team who are controlling all the points, dictating play.

:45:43.:45:54.

That just floated to the back of the court. Wonderful control from Babos.

:45:55.:46:04.

Shvedova and Babos are excellent volley is and Shvedova stood her

:46:05.:46:15.

ground there. Here is this very deliberate service preparation from

:46:16.:46:23.

Joanna Konta. That lob is long, by miles.

:46:24.:46:35.

Konta has done a nice job in her service games, helped out by Sanchez

:46:36.:46:44.

at the net. Sanchez is more comfortable on the volleys. By

:46:45.:46:51.

contrast, Sanchez on her service game has struggled.

:46:52.:47:13.

They got lucky there. Sanchez went just a little bit early.

:47:14.:47:35.

Oh, right down the middle from Konta! Shvedova and Babos were left

:47:36.:47:44.

staring at each other as the ball went right between them. Bit of a

:47:45.:47:48.

tactical error here from Shvedova. She went up the middle to the better

:47:49.:47:53.

ground stroke of Konta. So comfortable with that backhand pass.

:47:54.:47:55.

Nicely played there. Oh, that is a super shot from

:47:56.:48:16.

Shvedova. The 28 Two Rd from Kazakhstan. -- the 28-year-old from

:48:17.:48:26.

Kazakhstan. She fell to Venus Williams on Court One yesterday in

:48:27.:48:33.

the Women's Singles. A nice server from Konta.

:48:34.:49:09.

Konta will rarely serve a slower phase than that. 77 mph. Not often

:49:10.:49:31.

you get a second serve ace in tennis but they are celebrating that. Those

:49:32.:49:39.

are the Konta Sanchez coaches there. In the blue hat and cravat is

:49:40.:49:50.

Konta's father. And Chris Everett is watching today as well. She is

:49:51.:49:54.

involved in the coaching of Maria Sanchez. She wins -- runs an Academy

:49:55.:50:03.

in the US and Maria Sanchez has trained that the last few years.

:50:04.:50:09.

They are very close. She is like a second mum to Maria. Spends an awful

:50:10.:50:12.

lot of time with Maria down at her Academy. Just a great influence in

:50:13.:50:19.

Maria's life will stop one of the legends of this sport. On women's US

:50:20.:50:34.

TV. Now a little bit of pressure and the Babos serve. The Hungary and

:50:35.:50:41.

serving to stay in the opening set. Just waiting for a few late arrivals

:50:42.:50:42.

to settle down and take their seats. That's about the best shot that

:50:43.:51:04.

we've seen throughout this match Maria Sanchez.

:51:05.:51:32.

Oh, good tennis! Nicely played up at net. Sanchez making sure of her

:51:33.:51:47.

volleys. One of her best returns. Moves forward. Again, look at her

:51:48.:51:51.

momentum. Always moving forward, closer to be net. -- the net. Oh!

:51:52.:52:05.

Down the line again. Konta on fire on that set points. Nicely played

:52:06.:52:14.

here. Shvedova has tried to be active at the net, taking the

:52:15.:52:17.

middle. Very smart play to try to go up her line.

:52:18.:52:28.

Of the frame with the return of serve. It's a day for some glasses

:52:29.:52:40.

and sun hats here on Court Two. The best winner we've had at Wimbledon

:52:41.:52:46.

-- the best weather we've had at Wimbledon so far.

:52:47.:52:53.

It's out. And the Anglo-American partnership take the opening set by

:52:54.:53:01.

six - four. Well, Konta and Sanchez punching

:53:02.:53:18.

above their weight here. Taking out the first set over the number five

:53:19.:53:24.

seeds. This is how it concluded. This bold overhead from Shvedova.

:53:25.:53:39.

And Babos giving Konta plenty of time and a mis-hit from the Hungary

:53:40.:53:46.

and to seal the opening set. What an up-and-down first set it was. 4-1

:53:47.:53:51.

lead for Sanchez and Konta, came back to 4-4, before they settle to

:53:52.:53:56.

come back to win 6-4. Really, the difference was returned

:53:57.:54:16.

in play. They were able to challenge the service of Babos and Shvedova

:54:17.:54:21.

more. It's a stunning day. The steeple of Saint Mary Church rising

:54:22.:54:28.

pencil sharp into the blue and white sky above this part of London. A

:54:29.:54:35.

green and pleasant land at this time of year.

:54:36.:54:46.

So, set number two about to get underway and the stronger of the

:54:47.:54:54.

servers in the Konta Sanchez team, Konta, will get things underway.

:54:55.:55:22.

Konta is definitely more comfortable at the back of the court and Sanchez

:55:23.:55:31.

is. She tries to take up a bit more time, coach more.

:55:32.:55:48.

Konta has got to be aware of when they are moving up at net. She had

:55:49.:56:00.

the whole line open. Konta and Sanchez have changed the serving

:56:01.:56:05.

order. Konta served from the other end during the first set.

:56:06.:56:31.

Oh, that's a lovely shot. Konta has played so well when she's had a

:56:32.:56:42.

target. She's just been perfect with her aim on these passing shots.

:56:43.:56:49.

We've seen her go up the middle, up the line and now here, the angle.

:56:50.:57:06.

Well left. Konta looking for the winner down the line. Spotted some

:57:07.:57:16.

space there and Babos saw that it was high and long. A couple of break

:57:17.:57:20.

points at the start of the second set.

:57:21.:58:22.

There was a moment during that rally where Konta was pretty sure the ball

:58:23.:58:30.

had gone long. She had the option of stopping and calling it but she

:58:31.:58:36.

played through and her option was gone. A break of serve in the first

:58:37.:58:43.

game of the second set. It looked long to me. That is the first time

:58:44.:58:52.

Konta has been broken in this match. A couple of unforced errors there

:58:53.:58:59.

from Konta. It is tough. A team like Babos and Shvedova always looking to

:59:00.:59:03.

put pressure on. Come to the net, be aggressive.

:59:04.:59:09.

That is a nice play. Babos has struggled in his service games

:59:10.:59:57.

today. They are looking now to mix things up, try and give a different

:59:58.:00:04.

look to the Konta Sanchez team when they are returning.

:00:05.:00:21.

Babos and Shvedova starting to build up a little bit of momentum here as

:00:22.:00:25.

they stop to discuss tactics. That is nicely played from Maria

:00:26.:00:54.

Sanchez. Started with a good, deep return, followed it up and a nice

:00:55.:00:56.

feel on that backhand volley. A big chase on her. Sanchez has got

:00:57.:01:21.

there but could not find the target. Tactical discussions taking place

:01:22.:01:46.

behind closed doors with the players putting their hand or sometimes the

:01:47.:01:51.

tennis balls over their mouth. It is very much the common language out

:01:52.:01:58.

here this afternoon, English. I love that play. Sanchez putting all sorts

:01:59.:02:04.

of pressure on the second serve of Babos there. The backhand such a

:02:05.:02:11.

perfect stroke. After a difficult start of the ground, Maria Sanchez

:02:12.:02:16.

is starting to find her range around courts to macro. -- Court Two.

:02:17.:02:32.

That was out, I think. Johanna Konta had the perfect view of this. It hit

:02:33.:03:14.

the table and then it looked to me as if it landed out. Hawk-Eye will

:03:15.:03:19.

give us the final decision. It got half the line.

:03:20.:03:43.

The earlier break of serve consolidated for the Hungarian,

:03:44.:03:56.

Kazakhstan combination. Konta had an opportunity to put that backhand

:03:57.:04:00.

volley away and did not do it and her team paid the price. Now down to

:04:01.:04:06.

macro breaks with Maria Sanchez's serve and she is yet to hold her

:04:07.:04:11.

serve. Maybe they will have a little bit more luck from this end of the

:04:12.:04:13.

court. That is the best service came from

:04:14.:05:11.

Sanchez. All her serves well placed. An umbrella used for the right

:05:12.:05:16.

reason today, shielding the spectators from the warm afternoon

:05:17.:05:17.

sun. The return from Babos dipping

:05:18.:06:11.

towards the server. Sanchez will be hoping she can connect with a decent

:06:12.:06:13.

first serve her. While! From 40-0, they have made a

:06:14.:06:30.

mess of this game. She just hacked at that forehand volley. Sanchez's

:06:31.:06:39.

accuracy has been in and out throughout. And another errant first

:06:40.:06:50.

serve. She will have to make absolutely sure with the second

:06:51.:06:51.

serve. That was better play from Sanchez.

:06:52.:07:12.

She took her time with that forehand, set up.

:07:13.:07:52.

This would be a huge swing if Babos and Shvedova could break her again

:07:53.:08:02.

and maybe have the momentum in the second set.

:08:03.:09:00.

The Babos Shvedova are targeting Maria Sanchez at the back of the

:09:01.:09:08.

court, hitting everything back to her. They are aware that her

:09:09.:09:10.

confidence is shaken. Konta got away with not putting away

:09:11.:09:35.

that first forehand volley but she stayed so sharp at the neck, her

:09:36.:09:41.

feet, look at her continually moving around, until that overhead.

:09:42.:09:49.

Another miss from the back of the court from Sanchez. Difficult to

:09:50.:10:00.

watch all stop this game approaching six minutes. Deuce number four. That

:10:01.:10:12.

is a brilliant return from Babos. She enjoyed it. Raises her arms in

:10:13.:10:18.

almost a mock celebration that she was able to make this incredibly

:10:19.:10:21.

tough return. Break point, chance for a 3-0 lead

:10:22.:10:27.

for Babos and Shvedova now. Just when she needed it most, a

:10:28.:10:53.

coach of the work quality from Maria Sanchez. Excellent feel. This was a

:10:54.:11:00.

very difficult half-volley. She stayed low, sliced around the

:11:01.:11:04.

outside of that one. And a nice angle as well.

:11:05.:11:38.

So after five deuces in about seven minutes, Sanchez with a chance to

:11:39.:11:47.

finish this service game off. What a game, what an important hold,

:11:48.:12:09.

but still be number five seed in the driving seat at the start of this

:12:10.:12:14.

second set. We will be back with that match in a moment. But Martina

:12:15.:12:20.

Navratilova is back at Wimbledon. They defeated the pier from Britain.

:12:21.:12:29.

They remain unbeaten in this round robin format of the ladies

:12:30.:12:34.

invitation doubles. I think that is the politest way I can put it.

:12:35.:12:39.

Marvellous to see Martina back here today. If you missed the documentary

:12:40.:12:44.

on her life, you can catch it on the iPlayer. It is a fascinating insight

:12:45.:12:49.

into her life growing up in Czechoslovakia and her life on and

:12:50.:12:53.

off court over the years. Martina Loving being back at Wimbledon,

:12:54.:12:58.

still so enjoys playing the game and it is great to see her back at her

:12:59.:13:02.

favourite tournament. A via comments of victory for her and her partner

:13:03.:13:08.

there. Later on on Centre Court, this man will take on Andy Murray.

:13:09.:13:13.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga came through an epic against John Isner a few days

:13:14.:13:20.

ago. 19-17 in the final set. These autograph hunters with this soapy

:13:21.:13:24.

chablis and a lot of players walk past but not Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

:13:25.:13:29.

Having his photo taken, signing the autographs. That is why he is one of

:13:30.:13:34.

the most popular players on tour. He will be taking on Murray later this

:13:35.:13:39.

afternoon. Now let's head back to Court Two.

:13:40.:13:48.

Babos and Shvedova still up a break in this set. It will be Yaroslava

:13:49.:13:54.

Shvedova to serve next. 2-1. Konta returned so well in the first

:13:55.:14:13.

set. Just struggling a little bit more in the second set, mostly due

:14:14.:14:18.

to the improved service by Babos and Shvedova. That is good serving.

:14:19.:14:22.

Excellent location there. Good leave from Babos. A rapid-fire

:14:23.:15:06.

service game. 3-1 in front in the second set. Shvedova and Babos

:15:07.:15:15.

looking a lot more relaxed than they were at the end of that first set.

:15:16.:15:21.

Smiles all round. And established partnership with lots of success.

:15:22.:15:49.

That is a good looking lob. Territory point! -- ter effect

:15:50.:16:01.

point. Maria Sanchez just was not able to

:16:02.:16:12.

get involved at the net and Babos just continues with her game, power

:16:13.:16:19.

ground strokes, momentum moving forward.

:16:20.:16:32.

You have got to put that first volley away if you are Maria Sanchez

:16:33.:16:39.

at the net. Jo Konta separate beautifully but there was not enough

:16:40.:16:40.

power on that one. Babos was running everywhere around

:16:41.:17:30.

the court and the ball seemed to arrive everywhere she found herself.

:17:31.:17:36.

How good was that for anticipation from Babos? All over this court, she

:17:37.:17:41.

is doing a great job of continually moving forward.

:17:42.:18:02.

This is being challenged. This one was close. Babos and Shvedova will

:18:03.:18:52.

be hoping... It was out. Nice work from Konta. She saw that

:18:53.:19:10.

Shvedova had shovelled to her right and was mid-court and there was a

:19:11.:19:17.

huge space to aim for her. Stayed down beautifully with that backhand.

:19:18.:19:37.

How did they lose that point? That is another break of serve. And the

:19:38.:19:54.

crowd are here to support Jo Konta have little to get excited about in

:19:55.:19:59.

this second set after the 6-4 first set scoreline. It is all a little

:20:00.:20:08.

quiet on the Konta Sanchez side. That is where we are, on sunken

:20:09.:20:17.

Court Two. The outside courts and various hospitality pavilions there.

:20:18.:20:23.

Centre Court with its enormous white roof, 16 metres above the grass.

:20:24.:20:28.

Number one Court will have a roof by 2019. And there is Henman Hill,

:20:29.:20:37.

several thousands of spectators, or Murray Mount as it should be known

:20:38.:20:42.

with Andy Murray in action later. A nice atmosphere in the afternoon

:20:43.:20:50.

sunshine. They are couple of hours early for their man, Andy Murray.

:20:51.:20:56.

Just getting a good seat, getting ready.

:20:57.:21:12.

Babos and Shvedova in complete control of the second set, serving

:21:13.:21:15.

Faure 5-1 lead. Shvedova trying to make things

:21:16.:21:36.

happen at the net. She did not know her partner Babos had got back in

:21:37.:21:40.

position and had a pretty routine forehand. That is way too good from

:21:41.:21:51.

Sanchez. The level has dropped off a little bit in the second set. Let's

:21:52.:21:56.

see if that return gives her a bit more confidence.

:21:57.:22:22.

An explosive forehand from Johanna Cotter. Three break back points. --

:22:23.:22:37.

Johanna Konta. Babos getting a little bit stroppy with one of the

:22:38.:22:42.

ball crew. She wants a particular ball returned to her.

:22:43.:22:51.

That is a nice serve. 114 mph, wide. She does not use that serve quite as

:22:52.:23:05.

effectively as she could so far in this match. Let's see if she can get

:23:06.:23:15.

a little bit more rhythm. That is more good serving from Babos. Two

:23:16.:23:22.

first serves in a row, really varying the speed. The first one,

:23:23.:23:30.

100 and 40 mph, that last one, 92 mph, but kicking out wide. Two break

:23:31.:23:38.

points saved in this game, four in total. Someone got that right

:23:39.:23:43.

between the eyes, I think. Too much power there from Babos for

:23:44.:24:06.

Sanchez to be able to handle. Maria Sanchez has got to try and find her

:24:07.:24:11.

way into the net. She is struggling at the back of the court right now.

:24:12.:24:33.

So, a good opportunity for Sanchez. Fourth break point of this game.

:24:34.:24:45.

Babos's serve is wavering slightly. And a second serve she will have to

:24:46.:24:47.

be absolutely certain of. Didn't quite give it enough height,

:24:48.:25:02.

Johanna Konta. That is a nice point from Babos. All the right things

:25:03.:25:09.

from Konta and Sanchez. Nice pick-up but they could not quite get it

:25:10.:25:11.

across enough. I am not sure why Babos would go

:25:12.:25:42.

back to Konta with both of them at the baseline. Konta more solid at

:25:43.:25:46.

the back of the court. A fifth opportunity to break.

:25:47.:26:02.

We are having to leave this match on BBC One. It continues on the red

:26:03.:26:09.

button for now because we will be heading over to Centre Court. A

:26:10.:26:15.

beautiful sunny day at Wimbledon. Finally those rain clouds have moved

:26:16.:26:19.

away and we are bathed in sunshine and that is where we are going to be

:26:20.:26:24.

focusing our attention, the world's most famous court, Centre Court. And

:26:25.:26:29.

first up is a man who calls this court home.

:26:30.:26:49.

I can't believe that! What a point! How many times do we say it?

:26:50.:26:57.

Federer. Just, what a player, really.

:26:58.:27:16.

This is the scene on Centre Court. So many people taking their seats

:27:17.:27:21.

early because the great man, Roger Federer, is on court, the seven time

:27:22.:27:26.

champion. He is bidding to equal Jimmy Connors' record of 11

:27:27.:27:35.

Wimbledon semifinals. It is Roger Federer against Marin Cilic. David

:27:36.:27:39.

Beckham has made his way and Andy Murray will be on court against

:27:40.:27:45.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. We are leaving BBC One for the one o'clock news but

:27:46.:27:49.

to keep you to date with all the Wimbledon News, can switch over now

:27:50.:27:54.

to BBC Two. These people don't have a ticket for the show courts but

:27:55.:27:58.

they are making their way to Henman Hill. That has become such a feature

:27:59.:28:05.

at Wimbledon. They will be enjoying watching the action unfold on the

:28:06.:28:13.

big screen. So Henman Hill is full and we are here on men's

:28:14.:28:19.

quarterfinals day. We have also got on Court Number One Sam Querrey

:28:20.:28:23.

against Milos Raonic, Tomas Berdych against Lucas Pouille. He is 23

:28:24.:28:29.

years old and in his first Grand Slam quarterfinal. We are stopping

:28:30.:28:32.

for the news but we will have all the tennis News for you over on BBC

:28:33.:28:38.

Two. And later on, you are going to hear a lot more of this. Goodbye.

:28:39.:28:49.

Come on, Andy. Come on, Andy. Come on, Andy.

:28:50.:29:01.

When you have got a guy like that, you follow him.

:29:02.:29:03.
