It is an illegal blood sport but the law is being flouted and landowners | :00:00. | :00:21.
feel under siege. They came at me because my vehicle was blocking | :00:22. | :00:24.
their exit. And they immediately started to throw rocks at me with me | :00:25. | :00:29.
in the vehicle. He's the BBC's unsung hero and was named in the New | :00:30. | :00:33.
Year's Honours List but now the boxing club he founded is in | :00:34. | :00:40.
jeopardy. Also tonight, audiences 20,000 strong. Could e-sports help | :00:41. | :00:50.
this theatre? More more people want to watch the event not just online. | :00:51. | :00:56.
Megan the mountain dog prepares to take things a little easier after 12 | :00:57. | :00:58.
years. Welcome to Friday's | :00:59. | :01:04.
programme with Anne Davies Farmers in Lincolnshire say they're | :01:05. | :01:07.
having to take the law into their own hands, | :01:08. | :01:13.
to stop hare coursing. They claim criminal gangs | :01:14. | :01:17.
are trespassing on their land almost daily to take part | :01:18. | :01:19.
in the illegal blood sport. Police say dealing with | :01:20. | :01:23.
the activity, which sees dogs chasing hares through fields, | :01:24. | :01:25.
is at the top of their agenda. Our correspondent Paul Murphy has | :01:26. | :01:30.
this report, which contains images Very sorry, we have some problems | :01:31. | :01:33.
with the audio on that report. Well, we're being told that illegal | :01:34. | :02:06.
hare coursing is happening in other We put that question | :02:07. | :02:09.
to the police in Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire, | :02:10. | :02:15.
three counties with a proud heritage But hare coursing is unlawful and, | :02:16. | :02:17.
as we saw in Paul Murphy's All three police forces tell us | :02:18. | :02:23.
they've received reports in the last 18 months from members | :02:24. | :02:28.
of the public, who suspect this And they all have what are known | :02:29. | :02:31.
as "wildlife officers" whose job it is to specifically investigate | :02:32. | :02:36.
this type of crime, Nottinghamshire has | :02:37. | :02:39.
been able to provide us It says that last year, 2016, | :02:40. | :02:43.
acting on information largely from farmers and landowners, | :02:44. | :02:48.
at least eight hare coursing But several more investigations | :02:49. | :02:51.
are on-going and could also Consequently, the police | :02:52. | :02:57.
in Nottinghamshire tell us that tackling hare coursing has become | :02:58. | :03:02.
a greater crime-fighting priority And officers are increasingly making | :03:03. | :03:05.
full use of appropriate powers which enables them to seize | :03:06. | :03:10.
vehicles, phones and cash. And key to all of this, | :03:11. | :03:14.
say the police, is closer collaboration with landowners, | :03:15. | :03:16.
farmers and game-keepers. But the public can also | :03:17. | :03:19.
play a crucial role Officers say anyone who suspects | :03:20. | :03:22.
it's taking place should call 101. Thank you. Police say they are | :03:23. | :03:38.
dealing with this and it is at the top of their priority list. Our | :03:39. | :03:41.
correspondent Paul Murphy has this report. Some of these images might | :03:42. | :03:48.
be distressing. Chasing hares with dogs has been banned for 13 years. | :03:49. | :03:53.
But you wouldn't know it from looking at social media. It is awash | :03:54. | :03:58.
with footage of those who continue to break the law. What is changing, | :03:59. | :04:03.
though, is the level of violence. Hare courses meet out to those who | :04:04. | :04:10.
try to stop them. They came at me because my vehicle was blocking | :04:11. | :04:13.
their exit and immediately started to throw rocks at me with me in the | :04:14. | :04:18.
vehicle. And hammered the side of my vehicle so they could get passed and | :04:19. | :04:23.
escape. These courses escaped leaving their vehicle behind. They | :04:24. | :04:28.
came back later to set it alight, possibly to destroy any evidence | :04:29. | :04:32.
linking the car to them. These actions are creating fear in this | :04:33. | :04:36.
community. This woman would only talk if we didn't show her face. | :04:37. | :04:44.
They have become aggressive, nasty, uncontrollable... And intimidating. | :04:45. | :04:49.
There are people who are afraid to leave their own home. We know as a | :04:50. | :04:53.
police service we have to up our game and make best use of our | :04:54. | :04:57.
resources. But the farming community needs to work with us, it needs to | :04:58. | :05:02.
keep itself safe and it needs to assist proactively when we can | :05:03. | :05:06.
prosecute. This is a stinger. We put it in a gateway. This farmer says | :05:07. | :05:11.
he's done with relying on the police. He is making police style | :05:12. | :05:16.
stingers to puncture the tyres of trespassing vehicles. Other | :05:17. | :05:19.
landowners are using drones to monitor their fields. This farmer | :05:20. | :05:24.
could only watch as two Cars Drive through a newly sown crop. Fields | :05:25. | :05:28.
across this area shows signs of car damage. They'd care less if they | :05:29. | :05:34.
could, that sort of things. They have no scruples. They've no respect | :05:35. | :05:41.
for anybody. Being temptation is to intervene. We like to help the | :05:42. | :05:47.
police catch the culprits but the police are very reluctant to talk to | :05:48. | :05:52.
us and to work with us. It was in this same community that | :05:53. | :05:56.
Lincolnshire police launched its anti-hair coursing strategy last | :05:57. | :06:00.
September. But the hare courses, like the ones seen here speeding | :06:01. | :06:04.
through a farm shop car park are continuing to blight local life. | :06:05. | :06:09.
Still to come this evening, health bosses in Nottinghamshire | :06:10. | :06:11.
identify a number of services they're considering moving out | :06:12. | :06:14.
Also, Mr's Haymarket Theatre closed ten years ago but now there are | :06:15. | :06:30.
plans to reopen it with music, drama and the global Spectator funnel that | :06:31. | :06:40.
is e-sports. -- phenomenon that is e-sports. | :06:41. | :06:42.
An award-winning boxing coach from Nottingham says the future | :06:43. | :06:44.
of his club is in jeopardy after being forced to leave his gym. | :06:45. | :06:47.
Marcellus Baz, who was named in the New Year's Honours list | :06:48. | :06:50.
and is the BBC's national Unsung Hero is a former gang member | :06:51. | :06:53.
Now, he's hoping to find a permanent home in the City so he can continue | :06:54. | :06:59.
working with some of Nottingham's most vulnerable young people. | :07:00. | :07:01.
This was the moment just a few weeks ago when Marcellus Baz, | :07:02. | :07:08.
the founder of the Nottingham School of boxing, became | :07:09. | :07:11.
Just days later, as he was awarded the British Empire medal | :07:12. | :07:16.
in the New Year 's Honours, he says he was evicted from his gym. | :07:17. | :07:21.
We have been in the same place for two and a half years, | :07:22. | :07:24.
them kids that have a regular structure of coming here | :07:25. | :07:27.
and engaging in positive activities which were keeping them out | :07:28. | :07:31.
of trouble are no longer here, and that's why it's important | :07:32. | :07:34.
for is to start functioning as fast as possible in the new place. | :07:35. | :07:39.
The Renewal Trust, which owns Baz's former gym, says it's a matter | :07:40. | :07:41.
between him and the landlord and they hoped it would be | :07:42. | :07:44.
But the community are determined the boxing club | :07:45. | :07:47.
The children and the adults and the mums, we rely on him. | :07:48. | :07:53.
It's somewhere for us to go, it's somewhere where | :07:54. | :07:56.
We get referrals from different organisations to come to us | :07:57. | :07:59.
If he was honoured at Buckingham Palace, | :08:00. | :08:05.
he ought to be honoured here in Nottingham. | :08:06. | :08:07.
And we've got to find him a proper place. | :08:08. | :08:11.
Since the club started, Marcellus has worked | :08:12. | :08:13.
I was excluded from school quite a few times. | :08:14. | :08:21.
And he's helped me with life a lot better than what I would have done | :08:22. | :08:31.
So the club had to move and this basement is where they came to. | :08:32. | :08:38.
Over Christmas, they've painted and have even ripped down walls | :08:39. | :08:41.
in the hope that it may become their permanent home. | :08:42. | :08:45.
Whilst Marcellus remains anxious if they can raise ?450,000, | :08:46. | :08:49.
there's a chance this building could become their permanent home. | :08:50. | :08:53.
In the meantime, it's tools at the ready to get the club | :08:54. | :08:56.
Police in Derby want to speak to a cyclist following a stabbing | :08:57. | :09:06.
The 43-year-old victim was attacked on the doorstep of his home | :09:07. | :09:11.
on Webster Street at around 5pm on the 8th of December. | :09:12. | :09:15.
He's now left hospital after being treated for his injuries. | :09:16. | :09:18.
Detectives say they'd like to speak to a man seen riding an orange bike, | :09:19. | :09:21.
The RSPB is urging the government to rule out Sherwood Forest | :09:22. | :09:28.
Chemicals giant Ineos wants to survey part of the forest | :09:29. | :09:34.
to see if it's suitable for shale gas exploration. | :09:35. | :09:37.
The Forestry Commission, which owns some of the land, | :09:38. | :09:40.
But the RSPB says the surveys could disturb breeding birds, | :09:41. | :09:46.
while owners the Thoresby Estate says it won't agree to tests | :09:47. | :09:50.
The Ministry of Justice says it will publish more information | :09:51. | :09:57.
about the redevelopment of a Leicestershire | :09:58. | :09:59.
There are plans to double the capacity at Glen Parva Young | :10:00. | :10:04.
But local councillors say they're being kept | :10:05. | :10:07.
The government says no final decisions have been made yet | :10:08. | :10:15.
Health bosses in Nottinghamshire have identified a number of services | :10:16. | :10:19.
they're considering moving out of hospital and into the community. | :10:20. | :10:23.
They include brain injury and pain management. | :10:24. | :10:26.
Stroke rehabilitation will definitely be transferred. | :10:27. | :10:30.
The Clinical Commissioning Group says it will reduce costs | :10:31. | :10:32.
But those affected say they are deeply worried | :10:33. | :10:38.
they won't receive the same standard of care. | :10:39. | :10:40.
24-year-old Heather Peacock lost control of her car 18 months ago | :10:41. | :10:46.
She suffered a severe brain injury and was in a coma for eight weeks. | :10:47. | :10:52.
She's been receiving outpatient therapy at the city | :10:53. | :10:54.
hospital for a year and has made considerable progress. | :10:55. | :10:58.
She's convinced services will suffer if they are transferred | :10:59. | :11:00.
I don't think the facilities will be as good if they are transferred | :11:01. | :11:07.
to the homing environment because the facilities are so much | :11:08. | :11:10.
They've got a gym, treadmills, stuff like that. | :11:11. | :11:15.
They are willing to help you and support you through your recovery. | :11:16. | :11:22.
The Nottingham North and East Clinical Commissioning Group has | :11:23. | :11:24.
identified seven services currently delivered by Nottingham University | :11:25. | :11:27.
hospitals which it wants to transferred to reduce costs. | :11:28. | :11:32.
These services include ongoing therapy for those | :11:33. | :11:35.
with brain injuries, neurology assessments, | :11:36. | :11:37.
pain management, and home visiting for those with no | :11:38. | :11:40.
Research has moved on and there are better ways to do things. | :11:41. | :11:46.
An example would be stroke care where patients, | :11:47. | :11:48.
if they are cared for at home, have better outcomes. | :11:49. | :11:50.
The engagement we've done that patients are told us | :11:51. | :11:52.
that they would prefer services to be delivered at home. | :11:53. | :11:55.
Consultation has been extended into early next month but an online | :11:56. | :11:58.
petition started by Heather's family one week ago opposing the plans | :11:59. | :12:01.
has already attracted almost 700 signatures. | :12:02. | :12:05.
After 16 weeks of physio after you've been discharged, | :12:06. | :12:09.
they'll let you go, and that's not really fair because at 16 weeks | :12:10. | :12:12.
The most important thing for us is that patients receive the best | :12:13. | :12:21.
And where that needs more than 16 weeks then, of course, | :12:22. | :12:25.
A leaked memo indicates the CCG is ultimately | :12:26. | :12:29.
considering transferring a total of 13 services. | :12:30. | :12:33.
Heather intends to return to university in September to write | :12:34. | :12:36.
Still to come, the cuddles that cross continents. | :12:37. | :12:48.
The reaction of children in Uganda, when they were given hundreds | :12:49. | :12:50.
of teddies collected by a Nottinghamshire school. | :12:51. | :13:01.
Leicester's Haymarket Theatre could re-open by the end of the year. | :13:02. | :13:04.
It'll return with a mix of music and drama, but the big box office | :13:05. | :13:08.
draw will be e-sports, where audiences watch professionals | :13:09. | :13:12.
The consortium behind the venue's re-development says that | :13:13. | :13:19.
multi-player video game tournaments, now make more money | :13:20. | :13:24.
We sent Carol Hinds to find out more. | :13:25. | :13:35.
Welcome to dressing room one at Leicester's Haymarket Theatre. It | :13:36. | :13:43.
has been dark the ten years. No, there hasn't been any electricity | :13:44. | :13:46.
but it hasn't functioned as a venue for a decade. Above me in the main | :13:47. | :13:52.
auditorium, that is all about to change. We will be doing live music, | :13:53. | :13:58.
live Theatre. We do comedy, corporate events, conferences as one | :13:59. | :14:03.
as Christmas parties. Alongside that, there's also the e-sports. The | :14:04. | :14:09.
theatre will host e-sports events, growing industry where video games | :14:10. | :14:13.
take part in professional competitions. It's a developing | :14:14. | :14:17.
market. Presently, there's millions and millions of people online | :14:18. | :14:22.
watching. As it develops, with football, more people will want to | :14:23. | :14:26.
come and see the event, not just watch it online. Nearly ?3 million | :14:27. | :14:31.
from the city council will be spent redeveloping the theatre, as well as | :14:32. | :14:35.
attracting new audiences, it would also offer jobs and training. The | :14:36. | :14:40.
opportunity to bring young people here and provide training here and | :14:41. | :14:45.
new opportunities for people to enjoy the space, and to develop | :14:46. | :14:48.
their artistic skills, is something that is being offered by this | :14:49. | :14:52.
consortium in a way that is incredibly exciting. The team behind | :14:53. | :14:56.
the refurbishment say the new look Haymarket Theatre will add to the | :14:57. | :15:01.
city's art and entertainment scene. There'd be no point in us trying to | :15:02. | :15:08.
do what The Curve At do. For example, bands that aren't famous | :15:09. | :15:15.
enough to fill out the Montford Hall will look to play here. | :15:16. | :15:19.
Well, the Mayor of Leicester, Sir Peter Soulsby, has also been | :15:20. | :15:22.
speaking about the future of the Fenwick department | :15:23. | :15:24.
The owners of Fenwicks say the business has lost customers over | :15:25. | :15:28.
recent years to shopping centres like Highcross and Fosse Park. | :15:29. | :15:33.
They're expecting to close by the end of March. | :15:34. | :15:38.
Fenwicks have felt that their very much on the edge | :15:39. | :15:42.
And, as a result of that, I think we can expect there will be | :15:43. | :15:49.
shopping in that building but I think it's also likely that | :15:50. | :15:52.
some part of the building, at least, will be used, | :15:53. | :15:54.
as is increasingly the case in the city centre, people wanting | :15:55. | :15:58.
Hundreds of teddy bears collected by a Nottinghamshire school | :15:59. | :16:10.
have arrived in Uganda and are being given | :16:11. | :16:12.
to children who have never received presents before. | :16:13. | :16:14.
Teachers and pupils were inundated with teddies | :16:15. | :16:15.
following an appeal before Christmas. | :16:16. | :16:17.
They say it means the world to them to see how happy it's made | :16:18. | :16:20.
This is the joyful moment dozens of Ugandan children | :16:21. | :16:31.
received their first ever a teddy bear, and for most, | :16:32. | :16:34.
Around 800 bears were collected by pupils here at James Peacock | :16:35. | :16:40.
Primary School in Ruddington and the local community. | :16:41. | :16:42.
Teachers Sally Squires and Jane Henson started the project | :16:43. | :16:49.
Oh, it's amazing, seeing the looks on the children's | :16:50. | :16:53.
How just doing a little thing like sending a teddy out to a child | :16:54. | :17:00.
who has nothing makes a huge difference to their lives, | :17:01. | :17:02.
it's made their Christmasses, for some of these children. | :17:03. | :17:05.
And what do you think the children feel like when they have | :17:06. | :17:12.
They feel special because they have something to cuddle with, | :17:13. | :17:16.
and it's their first time having a present. | :17:17. | :17:18.
I think they feel really joyful about that they have | :17:19. | :17:21.
The village leader in Uganda said the Bears gave the children a | :17:22. | :17:33.
fantastic experience. Thank you for the teddy bears. Thank everybody who | :17:34. | :17:42.
sponsored them. And we hope this link will continue. Money raised | :17:43. | :17:48.
will also provide food for the children for a year and also paying | :17:49. | :17:50.
for a new classroom. For ?250, they can make 10,000 | :17:51. | :17:52.
bricks which are actually the walls It's a small amount of money | :17:53. | :17:55.
but a huge difference From a personal point of view, what | :17:56. | :18:08.
does it mean to you? It's been amazing, it had such an impact on a | :18:09. | :18:12.
school year, the community here and equally those children in Uganda and | :18:13. | :18:16.
it just makes me feel so overwhelmed. And, so, the | :18:17. | :18:19.
fundraising efforts will continue this year. | :18:20. | :18:28.
A lovely, lovely story. Great to see children linking up across the | :18:29. | :18:29.
world. Yes, we're here to talk | :18:30. | :18:31.
about the news that's been rumbling away this week, | :18:32. | :18:37.
the pending takeover of Nottingham Forest, | :18:38. | :18:38.
and the silence around it. Well, of course any big deal | :18:39. | :18:42.
like this hangs on a knife edge so it is an anxious time for fans | :18:43. | :18:48.
but as we speak tonight there is no suggestion the American | :18:49. | :18:52.
takeover will fall through. We are in the final, final part of | :18:53. | :19:05.
this long distance race. Football deals like this a very complex. | :19:06. | :19:09.
There's lots of documentation. There is nothing material to get in the | :19:10. | :19:11.
way of this deal. I understand both sides are calling | :19:12. | :19:13.
for calm and they are working together positively and the two | :19:14. | :19:16.
groups are working to get Just remind us who is | :19:17. | :19:23.
American tycoon John Jay Moore's is the man with the money behind | :19:24. | :19:27.
He made his money originally in computer software He ran | :19:28. | :19:30.
the San Diego Padres baseball team for 15 years and bought it | :19:31. | :19:33.
in troubled times but sold it for a huge profit running | :19:34. | :19:36.
into hundreds of millions of dollars. | :19:37. | :19:37.
He is being represented by an influential, well-respected | :19:38. | :19:39.
sports lawyer here who is working with the current owner | :19:40. | :19:41.
if these guys are so competent and organised and if they getting on | :19:42. | :19:56.
well with the current owner, why this delay? | :19:57. | :19:58.
I think fans should be reassured because it certainly seems | :19:59. | :20:00.
like the consortium have the right people working with them | :20:01. | :20:03.
with the knowledge and experience to run a club successfully. | :20:04. | :20:06.
Well I think festive period, maybe a couple of minor details | :20:07. | :20:09.
but essentially the Americans are ready to go and would | :20:10. | :20:11.
like to the deal to be done in the coming days. | :20:12. | :20:15.
And this is just a transition period. I think it will be done in | :20:16. | :20:18.
days. The January transfer window, there | :20:19. | :20:22.
are deals on the table. Yes and notably for | :20:23. | :20:33.
midfielder Henry Lansbury. Derby have made a bid for him | :20:34. | :20:34.
but we believe Villa have made This takeover is key because it is | :20:35. | :20:49.
January to do the deal, to get the takeover to stabilise the club. | :20:50. | :20:52.
Nottingham Forest are in the bottom of the table and they are in | :20:53. | :21:05.
trouble, but they do have some break now. | :21:06. | :21:08.
Well, there is FA Cup action, too, for Leicester and Derby this | :21:09. | :21:11.
weekend, with the Rams relishing the prospect of testing themselves | :21:12. | :21:13.
And I think it's great for the players. | :21:14. | :21:19.
They want to play in the Premier League. | :21:20. | :21:21.
Now they've got an opportunity to step out onto the field and go | :21:22. | :21:24.
toe to toe with the Premier League team that play us. | :21:25. | :21:27.
More a single match or if there is a draw. | :21:28. | :21:38.
And in this moment away we are not but, still. | :21:39. | :21:43.
A little team against a big team who want to do something. | :21:44. | :21:52.
Earlier exits from the FA Cup mean Mansfield and Notts County | :21:53. | :22:05.
Stags at home to Crewe while the Magpies, with Alan Smith | :22:06. | :22:09.
in temporary charge, go to Morecambe. | :22:10. | :22:10.
In rugby, a trip to old rivals Wasps for Leicester Tigers would usually | :22:11. | :22:13.
be a big enough affair by itself, but factor in the state | :22:14. | :22:16.
of the Premiership table with Wasps on top and Leicester not even | :22:17. | :22:19.
in the play off places, and, even more importantly, | :22:20. | :22:21.
Richard Cockerill's sacking and you have quite a clash. | :22:22. | :22:23.
I know as a player at some point I'll have to leave and I don't think | :22:24. | :22:32.
anyone will be looking backwards at me. | :22:33. | :22:35.
And I don't think Cockers would expect the same. | :22:36. | :22:40.
I think he'd expect us to move on and want us to win. | :22:41. | :22:44.
He may be a Leicester man but he is now at Toulon. He's gone to the | :22:45. | :22:52.
French side as a consultant. That has just happened this afternoon. | :22:53. | :22:54.
And Nottingham Panthers warm up for next weekend's European Final | :22:55. | :22:57.
matches with a home game against Braehead tomorrow and a trip | :22:58. | :22:59.
We just worked out I'm going to be able to head over to Italy for those | :23:00. | :23:09.
games, I'm looking forward to that. Oh, really? Has it been passed by | :23:10. | :23:11.
us? Now, if you're 12 years old, | :23:12. | :23:13.
you're not usually considered Unless, of course you're a border | :23:14. | :23:15.
collie and you've had a tough life Well, the dog in question is Megan, | :23:16. | :23:20.
who's now retiring. In a decade of detection | :23:21. | :23:23.
in Derbyshire, she's saved numerous climbers and even helped solve | :23:24. | :23:26.
a high profile murder case. Ultraquiet Derbyshire morning, what | :23:27. | :23:39.
could be more pleasant than a walk with the dogs? Accept these two | :23:40. | :23:43.
border collie is going for a stroll are in fact the veteran and novice. | :23:44. | :23:49.
When the jacket goes on, 12-year-old Megan transfers into a working dog | :23:50. | :23:53.
helping to teach her successor, seven-month-old Griffith, of the | :23:54. | :23:57.
tricks of the trade. What is Megan doing? She's out searching, she's | :23:58. | :24:03.
working across the wind, looking for human scent and when she comes | :24:04. | :24:06.
across that, shall pick it up and follow it to its source and when she | :24:07. | :24:11.
finds whatever it is she's looking for, a person or clothing, she will | :24:12. | :24:16.
come back and bark at me and take me to what she is found. And that is | :24:17. | :24:22.
what you are training Gryff to do? Yes, he's at the very beginning of | :24:23. | :24:28.
his training. With her stamina and hear hearing beginning to fade, Dave | :24:29. | :24:32.
called it a day for her. Gryff will be trained up in her place. He says | :24:33. | :24:37.
Megan has been incredible in challenging conditions especially in | :24:38. | :24:42.
the Peak District in winter. Very soon after she qualified, we were | :24:43. | :24:48.
called out to horrendous conditions. She worked relentlessly through the | :24:49. | :24:53.
storm and found three walkers, cold but alive, and evacuated them very | :24:54. | :24:58.
quickly. She discovered the body of Jah Ashton, a Thornton staff member | :24:59. | :25:02.
who disappeared on her way home from the Somercotes factory in March 20 | :25:03. | :25:08.
11. Megan received the chief Constable's commendation for her | :25:09. | :25:12.
work. She'd been covered over after she had been murdered, and there was | :25:13. | :25:17.
no trace of her in that area, and why she had been covered over, it | :25:18. | :25:24.
looks like any piece of clothes. She indicated exactly the place where | :25:25. | :25:27.
she had been found which was incredible. Now she is retired. I | :25:28. | :25:34.
will miss Megan. She's a family dog and I'm working forward to working | :25:35. | :25:37.
with Gryff but I think Megan deserves a rest. She is having a | :25:38. | :25:43.
lovely kit. Lovely Megan. The weather time now. | :25:44. | :25:49.
Chilly today, the dizzy heights of five Celsius. As for the sunshine, | :25:50. | :25:58.
what sunshine? Grey skies for much of today, and early on we even had | :25:59. | :26:02.
some ice around first thing but looking ahead to tomorrow and the | :26:03. | :26:08.
weekend, we are starting to get slightly milder. Quite cloudy still | :26:09. | :26:11.
and occasional showers. This is what's happening on the pressure | :26:12. | :26:16.
charts. Still some fronts around so we are likely to see just a little | :26:17. | :26:20.
bit of rain over the weekend. This was the picture earlier on, lots of | :26:21. | :26:26.
cloud around, and where we can see the showers, quite fragmented, not | :26:27. | :26:29.
an organised band, so it has been coming and going all day. That's the | :26:30. | :26:34.
picture through this evening. Those showers will slowly start to move | :26:35. | :26:38.
out of the way in the early hours. Some hill fog building up in places | :26:39. | :26:43.
as well, with lows of three degrees. Looking at the detail for tomorrow | :26:44. | :26:48.
morning, quite a cloudy, grey day tomorrow with spits and spots of | :26:49. | :26:52.
rain here and there, with brighter spells to the north but fairly | :26:53. | :26:57.
usable weather. Wrap up warm but it will be milder than it was today | :26:58. | :27:01.
with highs of nine. As we have a look ahead to Sunday, it's more of | :27:02. | :27:11.
the same. Quite cloudy, highs of eight, spits and spots of rain so it | :27:12. | :27:14.
isn't too bad over the weekend. Or change next week, with a low | :27:15. | :27:21.
pressure coming towards us. We are expecting wet and windy weather so | :27:22. | :27:27.
enjoy the brief respite over the weekend. | :27:28. | :27:32.
Thank you. I suppose you'll be Nottingham Forest takeover alert? | :27:33. | :27:36.
I think we will wait for a working day doctor-mac we will see! | :27:37. | :27:43.
We are back with all your weekend news and bulletins and we will see | :27:44. | :27:45.
you on Monday. Panorama investigates | :27:46. | :27:52.
the deadly terrorist attack and should British tourists | :27:53. | :27:59.
have been warned about the risks? | :28:00. | :28:03. |
