Hello, I'm Shaun Peel. the news where you are. Goodbye.

:00:13.:00:13.

First this evening, the mystery of a man found

:00:14.:00:15.

Chris Naya was found with a head injury in Central Park

:00:16.:00:22.

in Chelmsford, but detectives don't know what happened to him.

:00:23.:00:25.

Now they've released this picture in the hope

:00:26.:00:27.

of jogging someone's memory, as Gareth George reports.

:00:28.:00:32.

I'm on the edge of Central Park in Chelmsford and it was in this

:00:33.:00:35.

park that 35-year-old was found unconscious.

:00:36.:00:37.

He was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge

:00:38.:00:42.

where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

:00:43.:00:46.

Police say they don't know what happened to Mr Naya.

:00:47.:00:49.

They have issued this CCTV picture of him.

:00:50.:00:51.

He's wearing the same clothes he was when he was found and police

:00:52.:00:54.

are hoping this picture will help jog someone's memory and they will

:00:55.:00:57.

Mr Naya had been with colleagues at a Christmas party.

:00:58.:01:02.

He'd walked to a relative's house where he was going to spend

:01:03.:01:05.

the night and then it's believed he walked back to the park

:01:06.:01:08.

Police say they are keeping an open mind about how he received the head

:01:09.:01:15.

injury and they're following many lines of enquiry.

:01:16.:01:18.

Anyone who saw Mr Naya near the park is being urged

:01:19.:01:21.

Gareth George, BBC Look East, Chelmsford.

:01:22.:01:28.

A woman in her 90s has died in a flat fire in Southend.

:01:29.:01:31.

Her body was found in a bedroom of a house in Nelson Street last night.

:01:32.:01:37.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious but an investigation

:01:38.:01:40.

is under way to try and find out how it started.

:01:41.:01:45.

A man from Luton has died in a road crash while on his way home to spend

:01:46.:01:49.

Ross Cowling was hit by a car on Maulden Road

:01:50.:01:52.

in Flitwick on Christmas Eve. He was walking there at the time.

:01:53.:01:56.

His family say they are devastated. He leaves two young daughters.

:01:57.:01:59.

A person's been airlifted to hospital after getting burnt

:02:00.:02:01.

in a firework accident in King's Lynn.

:02:02.:02:05.

It happened in the afternoon of Christmas Day in The Walks.

:02:06.:02:08.

Police, fire crews and paramedics all attended.

:02:09.:02:13.

:02:17.:02:18.

Tom Hardy has posted a video online urging people to get in touch

:02:19.:02:22.

with information about Corrie McKeague.

:02:23.:02:25.

The 23-year-old, based at RAF Honington, was last seen on

:02:26.:02:27.

It's now three months since he disappeared.

:02:28.:02:32.

Nobody has given or volunteered any information of his whereabouts,

:02:33.:02:35.

so if you have any information at all about his whereabouts,

or to the police on the number on the poster below.

:02:42.:02:45.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance says it's an honour and a surprise

:02:46.:02:52.

to be mentioned by the Queen in her Christmas message.

:02:53.:02:55.

The Queen praised the dedication of doctors, paramedics and crew

:02:56.:03:00.

and said she was inspired when she opened the charity's

:03:01.:03:03.

new headquarters in Cambridge in July where her grandson

:03:04.:03:06.

Prince William works as a helicopter pilot.

:03:07.:03:10.

It obviously meant something to the Queen that she had come

:03:11.:03:12.

to see William at his place of work and, of course, to the charity it's

:03:13.:03:16.

just been a fantastic experience. It was such a wonderful day.

:03:17.:03:18.

For her to remember it and to mention it

:03:19.:03:21.

Football now, and Boxing Day blues in the Championship.

:03:22.:03:30.

Ipswich went down 2-0 at home to Fulham, while Norwich lost 3-1

:03:31.:03:36.

In League One, MK Dons lost 1-0 at home to Charlton,

:03:37.:03:38.

Marc Richards with the winner four minutes

:03:39.:03:41.

into stoppage time, Peterborough drew 1-1 with Gillingham

:03:42.:03:43.

and slip out of the top six, replaced in the play-off places

:03:44.:03:46.

by Southend who made it 11 games unbeaten after beating

:03:47.:03:49.

Wimbledon 3-0, including a brace for Simon Cox.

:03:50.:03:51.

And in League Two, Luton in fifth were beaten 1-0 by a resurgent

:03:52.:03:54.

Colchester who've gone five games unbeaten now.

:03:55.:03:56.

Cambridge won 2-1 at Stevenage to hold on to their berth

:03:57.:03:59.

And in rugby, in the Championship Bedford beat Jersey 39-37,

:04:00.:04:05.

so a long trip back to St Helier for the Boxing Day guests.

:04:06.:04:17.

While some of you may have been shopping today others have been

:04:18.:04:19.

167 tractors graced the lanes of Larling in a Boxing Day tractor

:04:20.:04:23.

run to raise money for the brain injury charity Headway.

:04:24.:04:26.

While in Cromer around 350 people braved the North Sea to take part

:04:27.:04:29.

in a charity Boxing Day swim raising more than ?2,500.

:04:30.:04:33.

You can see much more on the Look East Facebook page.

:04:34.:04:39.

Now a look at the weather forecast with Kate Kinsella.

:04:40.:04:42.

After a cold, crisp day the conditions tonight are very similar.

:04:43.:04:46.

Clear skies means the temperature is going to feel cold,

:04:47.:04:50.

There is nothing in the way of cloud to speak of.

:04:51.:04:55.

The wind still easing as we head through the course

:04:56.:04:57.

The temperature falling away very quickly.

:04:58.:05:00.

Towns and cities likely to hover just above zero

:05:01.:05:05.

but in the countryside you could see the temperature down at zero,

:05:06.:05:08.

You will notice all this blue just starting to sneak in.

:05:09.:05:13.

That signifies perhaps a frost first thing tomorrow morning.

:05:14.:05:16.

So a frosty start but a bright start.

:05:17.:05:19.

Plenty of cold, dry, fine, sunny weather tomorrow.

:05:20.:05:22.

Yes, it is still going to feel crisp.

:05:23.:05:24.

Overnight tomorrow, into Wednesday, however, we start to see more cloud.

:05:25.:05:30.

Some mist and murk starts to develop, the temperature

:05:31.:05:33.

a little bit colder so a cold, frosty,

:05:34.:05:36.

It will lift to some sunny spells but the temperatures staying cold

:05:37.:05:40.

for much of this week and more cloud towards Thursday and Friday.

:05:41.:05:47.

and longer spells of rain over northern isles. By the end of the

:05:48.:06:07.

night, temperatures recovering once again after a chilly evening, three

:06:08.:06:12.

to five Celsius. Tomorrow and for the next couple of days, we have

:06:13.:06:17.

this area of high pressure which will really settle the weather down,

:06:18.:06:21.

compared with of late. We start tomorrow on a mainly dry note. There

:06:22.:06:27.

will be a few showers continuing in the north-west and the northern

:06:28.:06:30.

isles, and the wind picking up here as we go

:06:31.:06:32.
