We've searched the UK to bring you the best talent.

And they're ready to battle it out for a place in the top nine.

Last time, Reloaded stayed at the number-one spot.

Will any of today's crews pop and lock their way to the top?

This is Alesha's Street Dance Stars.

Hello and welcome to Alesha's Street Dance Stars,

and my mission to find the UK's best young street dance crews.

That's right. This is your one-stop spot for street dance.

On this stage in a few moments,

the battle between four more crews will commence,

each of them hoping to wow our judges

and secure a place in the semi-finals.

We've seen some fantastic performances already,

so today's crews had better be up to the challenge.

They're all hoping to be crowned Alesha's Street Dance Stars 2012,

and take home this fabulous trophy.

So who are the powers that be?

It's time to meet our street-dance superiors.

My name's Lizzie Gough. I'm a dancer and choreographer.

I was also a judge on last year's Alesha's Street Dance Stars.

I've worked with people like

Take That, Katie Melua, McFly,

Adam Garcia.

As a judge on the show, I'm looking for the whole package.

So, the showmanship, the technique,

to how they present it.

I like to do my own thing, learn new things, push boundaries.

I'm an easy-going person who just likes to learn.

Go crazy, everyone, for Lizzie!

Dwayne, as head judge,

do you have any words of wisdom for the crews today?

Just give it your all. Give it your best shot.

-Don't let nerves get in the way. Just have fun.

-Brilliant.

Now, this is the important bit.

The judges will score the crews on technique, choreography

and showmanship.

The nine crews from the qualifiers with the highest scores

will go through to the semi-finals.

In the event of a tie-break, head judge Dwayne

will decide who goes through.

There's a frenzy of street-dance action going on backstage right now.

I don't know about you, but are you ready to see some street dance?

First up is a crew

who have travelled the furthest to be here today.

They describe themselves as funny, determined and energetic.

All the way from Portsmouth, it's Most Wanted!

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

ALL: We're Most Wanted and we're from Portsmouth!

Wooh!

Most Wanted is very well-known for their energy.

When you start dancing, it's all burst out.

ALL: Yeah.

You're really nervous before you walk on,

but once you get into the routine, your adrenalin kicks in,

and you just give it all your energy.

ALL: Yeah.

Most Wanted have a motto, which is "strengthen your wings to fly".

That means training hard, non-stop practising,

until you get to a point where you're on stage

and you just get adrenalin,

and it feels like you're literally flying on stage.

Before we go on stage,

we have a ritual where we put our hands together

and go, "Most Wanted," and it brings us all together.

still with the cuteness, yet you were aggressive.

and they matched your bodies, so everything fit,

This next crew have only been together for a few months.

They rehearse three times a week,

and incorporate different styles into their routines.

From Manchester, it's Superkidz!

We're Superkidz and we're from Manchester! Woooo!

The judges will remember us by all the facials that we do,

and our different techniques of dancing.

and Akira likes locking.

When we start dancing, we just like to make the judges smile,

and when they smile it makes us happy and we dance and enjoy ourselves.

As you know,

only the nine top-scoring crews from across the qualifiers

will go to the semi-finals, and no-one wants to go home.

You'll recognise this next crew of three brothers and two best friends.

They performed at the qualifiers last year

and they describe themselves as young, talented and handsome.

From Leicester, it's Demolition Dance Crew!

We're Demolition Dance Crew and we're from Leicester! Brrup-brrup!

# Bangarang...

We've been together for a year and a half.

We see each other like family.

Me, Zachariah and Hakim are brothers,

but Nasha and Faisal are like our family as well.

Last year we got through to the qualifiers

and we kind of took in the judge's comments.

Be more confident, that's all.

Hopefully this year we are going to impress the judges even more.

Our street dance style is really unique.

We're doing our popping, locking, breaking,

and hopefully we should stand out because what we do is from the heart.

Before we go on stage we pray to boost our self-esteem

to be confident and to have adrenaline.

but we're Demolition and we're going to demolish the stage.

cos you're very tense,

and that's what you guys are about,

but remember different things you can do. It was good.

I feel so privileged to sit here

and watch how much you've improved since last year.

So privileged.

I got really excited and I wanted to write notes,

but I was like, "I want to watch every single thing."

I love the popping that went into locking into isolations,

and every time you come out you'll improve,

and I'm so impressed by how well you've done. So impressed.

Our last crew today say they were born to perform.

They launched a theatre production

and say their personalities helped them to progress.

From Edmonton, It's Street Elementz!

We're Street Elementz and we're from Edmonton! Woooo!

The judges will remember how different we are.

We bring different types of street-dance styles

and bring it together and that's why we're called Street Elementz.

When we go out on stage it's like our personalities come out more.

We've been together for five years.

-We're like a family and I love these guys.

I really, really liked it.

I'll give you criticism first then I'll come to the good points.

Some of you need to look up a bit more.

Bring your heads up, I can see you're focusing and you're looking down.

Just...uh! Look up. Try not to throw away your moves.

The energy's getting you guys excited, you're on stage.

But have more control and you guys will definitely kill it.

I was having a ball with you guys on that stage.

You lot were just, like, full of such energy

so the energy YOU had made me have energy. I was up here dancing,

I wanted to come down. I had to stop myself and hold it.

"Don't dance too much, people will say you're making too much noise."

But you guys were good. I won't say anything apart from keep that.

If you keep that energy and perfect that, you're flying.

It's the kind of set I see professional groups do

like some other... It's the way it's been put together, it's brilliant.

The leg thread, I love. I do that, one of my favourites, it's so hard.

You had nice little moments for each of you

and then danced great as a unit.

Just keep that energy and keep working as a team.
