Hello, and welcome to the show that puts you in charge of transforming

your family wagon, both inside and out.

You might know me as a gamer, but I'm also car crazy.

So me and my team, mechanic Rebecca

and cool car nerd Sideways Sid,

are on a mission -

to supercharge family vehicles all across the UK.

And today we're helping a family in...

Manchester, whose car might look

luxurious at first glance,

but on closer inspection desperately needs our help.

Hi, I'm Muhammad.

I am 14 years old and I'm a supercar super fan.

I live with my dad, my sister - her name's Alishba.

-Hi.

-Here we have my mum...

-Hello.

..who loves cars almost as much as I do.

Right, so I want to introduce you to another important part

of our family. It's our car.

You might straightaway think that it's a posh car,

but actually, it's older than me and has been through quite a lot,

so it desperately needs a makeover.

This is where the car badge used to go before it got stolen.

There's a lot of rust down at the bottom,

all the way around the wheel arches and under the door.

The seats are quite tired and worn out.

But worst of all, there's something wrong with the engine.

What do you reckon the worst thing I could do to the car is?

A luminous colour on the outside,

like a bright green or something like that, or an orange.

Ali-A, please help us to supercharge our car.

My mum and dad don't have a clue about what I'm going to do to it,

but I am sure they'll like it.

Now, Mum and Dad, you're handing the car over to Mohammad.

-How are you guys feeling?

-Nervous.

I've seen some bright cars on the road I don't like, like orange,

like a lime green colour.

Remember, this isn't in your hands,

so, Mohammad, you can do anything you want.

Well, he's got to remember he's got to sit in it as well.

That's very true. So, Mohammad,

I'm going to grab my vlogging camera

and you're going to give us a bit of a tour of the car, OK?

What is there on this car that you'd like to get changed

here at Superchargers?

The headlights are not very clear, so I want to clear them out.

-Yeah, OK. Nice.

-Yeah.

-The speakers...

-Yeah.

-They're broken as well, so...

-Really?

We need to get that fixed as well.

So we've had a look at the car,

we're obviously going to make sure it's road safe. However, right here,

right now, we are actually going to be doing some design brainstorming,

so, Mohammad, come with me, because we have a very,

very cool Superchargers app, which only yourself and I can look at.

Dad's not happy about this, but he can't get involved.

-What do you reckon?

-No, I don't think that.

No? OK, that's good.

What about this? Pretty crazy.

No. I found Ali-A's ideas quite useful.

There was one with, like, Ali-A's face on it,

and it was a bit too out there.

I'm not that much of a fan.

Do you think your mum and dad would like that one?

-They would hate it.

-The whole family would be against it. That's fine.

We'll get rid of that one.

I'm really nervous about what my son is going to do to the car.

Please, let me see...

What is he looking at?

I think one of my favourite ones was the orange with the black.

Yeah, I like that.

I like the way it was, like, a two colour kind of contrast.

Let's just remind ourselves, Mum,

what did you say you don't want on this car, specifically

-colour-wise?

-Orange?

OK, orange. I think your mum would love this one.

-Yeah.

-Come on.

I hope it's nothing outrageous he's going to do to the car.

I'm thinking, drawing from my own inspiration with my own cars,

what if we could work some bits of carbon fibre into the car?

Carbon fibre is this black and grey stuff.

A super-light material that looks really cool.

I definitely want to put the carbon fibre on the car.

We like it, we like it.

Awesome. Well, you know what?

We've got some great design ideas here.

I'm actually going to ask for the keys.

Today, Sid's sorted exclusive access to an upmarket supercar showroom

with more than £5 million worth of motors for sale.

-I quite like this.

Stunning, isn't it?

Mohammad has let Alishba in on his secret design ideas

so she's come along, too.

When I first walked into that place, I felt really excited, I mean,

I never get to see, you know, these kinds of cars on a daily basis,

you know. It is kind of a once in a lifetime kind of opportunity.

It was amazing.

This place is incredible.

I wish I was there.

I quite like the sides, the gloss black.

Sid, don't let Mohammad forget about my brilliant styling idea.

Don't worry, Ali, I won't.

Remember you spoke to Ali-A about the carbon fibre effect?

You can see carbon fibre pretty much everywhere on this car.

Even the rear spoiler has carbon fibre.

What is it about the carbon fibre look that you love so much?

It makes it more aggressive, it gives more colour to the car.

Is it something you still want to be done on your mum's car?

-Yeah, 100%.

-Yeah?

-Definitely, yeah.

Supercars are all about those little details,

but not just on the outside.

Check the interior on this.

I quite like the green stitching,

-and think it complements the car really nicely.

-Yeah?

-Yeah.

Look how eye-popping...

-Yeah.

-..the paint colour scheme is.

Is this the sort of idea you want to do with your mum's car?

You want to turn it into something completely outrageous?

Yeah.

After this trip, I think I'm going to be thinking more about

more bold colours, bright lime green, I quite like that,

so I need to think about that, and I might add that to my mum's car.

At home in Manchester,

Mohammad's mum is clueless about his design ideas.

I feel sad that my car is gone.

I'll miss my car.

I'm about 50% nervous, going to 60 now.

While his parents can only guess at what he is thinking...

-There's your tea.

Mohammad's mind is still buzzing

from his supercar showroom experience.

It truly was probably the best day of my life, like, it was just...

Car heaven right there.

It was car heaven.

I am super excited. I just want to get to work, get done with it...

So young and I'm doing a car.

That car showroom was completely awesome.

It seemed to me that Mohammad was loving my idea

of adding carbon fibre on the car,

but will he come round to doing a bright colour worthy of a supercar?

We'll have to wait and see.

Before he finalises his secret design,

Mohammad's once posh family car needs to be safe to drive again.

So I brought in my mechanic Rebecca.

A car-mad racing driver who loves getting her hands dirty

fixing up motors.

Welcome to the Superchargers workshop.

I've given your car a thorough once-over,

and there's a few mechanical issues we can fix together today.

Never try and fix your car on your own -

only do it with an expert like Rebecca.

Now, you thought there was a problem with your car's engine,

but the real issue is with the exhaust.

And to see that,

we need to get it in the air, so come this way.

It was interesting looking under the car and getting my hands on it.

It was quite good fun, kind of learning about it.

The exhaust system runs all the way from the engine

right down the length of the car,

so it's really important that it's working properly.

Toxic gases and loud sounds made by the car's engine

are muffled and cleaned by the exhaust pipe.

Without the exhaust,

cars would be much more noisy and even worse for the planet.

Your exhaust is full of holes,

so that's why we're going to be changing it today.

I had no idea about the holes.

That's it.

So it was kind of a surprise, working on the exhaust today.

It's awkward, isn't it?

-Is it done yet?

-Almost.

Took a bit of budging to kind of get it going.

The top bolt's come out.

Brilliant. So if you pull the ratchet down...

There we go. That is the bolt.

There's an engine sensor to unplug.

-Oh!

-And then Mohammad has got his work cut out on the final part.

This is the last mount that we need to remove.

It's a bit difficult.

-Can you manage?

-No, I don't think I can do it.

-I bet you can.

-Rebecca was awesome, working along with her.

I think, in the future, I do want to become a mechanic,

and this is a really good opportunity,

it's a good challenge as well.

I'm looking forward to the next stage of the Superchargers process,

because I've got lots of cool ideas I want to do to the car.

I think my mum and dad are a little bit nervous.

Especially my mum. She really wants it back.

This car is well on its way to being properly posh again.

So, Mohammad's car is now totally safe to drive,

and it is time for him to make his final creative choices.

In Manchester, Mohammad's getting ideas together

for his makeover meeting with Sid.

Sid's right. Supercars these days are really bright.

I need to find a design that's going to match my car nicely,

and make it eye-popping.

Just like the car at the supercar showroom.

A bit of a boring blue, in my opinion.

I don't think I want to go for that.

Oh, so we've got this yellow now.

Not sure about that one.

Now this, this looks really nice.

It's chrome red, I love this.

I'm definitely going to go with Ali-A's suggestion

of the carbon fibre effect.

I just need to decide where to put it.

I hope Mohammad's worked out what he wants,

because it's transformation time.

So, Mohammad, have you made your final decision on the colour

you want done for your car?

Satin chrome red.

I do not like bright colours on my car.

-I am not having that.

-Oh, risky, Mohammad!

That red wrap is seriously loud.

And what about the contrast in carbon fibre effect?

I think I'd probably have it on the door mirrors.

a brand-new stereo system and something hidden in the boot.

Mohammad and Sid knuckle down to add the finishing touches

for the big unveiling to Mum and Dad.

It's been a lifelong dream of mine to kind of customise a car.

I'm not too sure on what my mum and dad are going to think.

This is really important, and I don't want to mess it up.

The car is now complete.

How do you reckon your mum is going to feel about it?

I'm not too sure at the moment. I am nervous.

I'm hoping that she's going to like it.

Welcome back to Superchargers headquarters,

where we're going to be unveiling a brand-new supercharged car

and I'm so excited.

But first, Mohammad, I have here for you the Superchargers MOT

certificate, which means your car is in working order

and is safe to drive, which is great news.

But let's remind ourselves,

what did your car look like when it very first came here?

Well, you see, the rims were quite scratched, you see it's quite rusty.

It wasn't in the greatest condition.

How do you feel about the final supercharged car?

I'm very happy with it.

But I am not too sure about what my mum's going to think of it.

Oh, interesting. Now, Mum, what did you not want to have on the car?

Luminous colours. Bright colours.

OK. Let's just say, theoretically,

that all of those things were on the car...

He would be grounded for a few years.

OK. Are you ready?

-Yes.

-Awesome.

Oh, what does Mum think?

It's red!

Kind of got sick of red, because my dad kept buying red cars.

Oh, no, we didn't want a red car!

-Guys, do you like it?

-It's super different.

It's very different.

Mohammad's car has gone from worn out to stand out,

with a satin chrome red outside

and supercar-inspired carbon fibre effect details.

Mohammad, what do you reckon?

They reacted well.

-Yeah.

-My mum, I'm not too sure.

-It's still Mum we need to convince.

Well, you know what, guys, come on in.

Let's take a look at your supercharged car.

It looks quite nice when you stand near to it.

-Yeah.

-It looks very nice.

-It's very much a supercar feel,

-which is what you were going for, wasn't it?

-Yeah.

Mum, Dad, what do you think of the carbon fibre? Very sporty.

-I like it.

-Look, I even put carbon fibre underneath the side skirts.

-Dad, what do you reckon?

-Yeah.

-Would you be happy to be seen in that car

-as well?

-Yeah, very nice.

On the inside, Mohammad has made sure all the accessories fit

with the black and red colour scheme.

The stitching's OK. That looks not too bad.

This car came in as a rusty old banger, and now it looks amazing.
