and I work here at Safari World.

We look after animals from all over

the planet.

Mr Hammond wants to take pictures

of the lions,

so I've been in their enclosure

to make sure everything is neat

and tidy.

I've just got time for lunch

before the photoshoot begins.

Hm. That's funny. I'm sure I had my

sandwich with me.

Maybe I left it in the Jungle Den.

Time to find out how lions deal with

flies in the wild.

The only problem is

I don't see any lions anywhere.

But I can certainly hear them.

Come on!

Cubs! Aw, look at them!

They love tumbling around,

but they're not just having fun.

Play-fighting helps them learn

how to hunt

and to fight if they need

to defend themselves.

Oh! The only thing is,

I need to find out how lions fight

flies, not each other.

And there aren't many

flies around here.

In fact, there are hardly any lions

either.

Oop! The cubs don't like to be

away from their family for too long.

I think they're off to rejoin

the pride.

I know! I'll follow them. No, better

still, I'm going to join them.

To the size of a lion cub.

Great! Now I should fit right in.

Ah! Now, this is what

And what a great mum she is.

She's keeping the cubs clean

by licking their faces and paws.

That's going to help keep

the flies away.

If I'm not mistaken,

I think the flies are coming from

that direction.

There's definitely more flies

over here, and more lions, too.

I need to find out what else

lions do to fend off flies

and then head back to Safari World

as quickly as possible.

I suppose I could just close my eyes

Ah! Oh! I knew it!

The rumbling was the arrival

of the wildebeest.

And there are not just

a few wildebeest,

there are tens of thousands of them.

Ooo! It looks like they've brought

millions of flies with them, too.

Oh, look! It's an agama lizard.

Hello! I recognise this guy

because there are lots of

agama lizards in Safari World.

Ooo, and there's one up there, too.

What's that one got its eye on?

More lions, and they're covered in

flies!

Poor things!

Well, the agamas are heading over

there, I think I'll join them.

I might finally get to see

how lions deal with flies!

Oop!

Hm. What are they up to?

Oh! Watch out!

You don't want to get squashed.

Oh, look,

they're all eating the flies!

And the lions don't seem to mind

either.

Of course they wouldn't.

It's great teamwork.

The lizards are helping the lions

by getting rid of all the flies

and the lions are helping the

lizards by attracting the flies.

Everyone's a winner.

Which means I have the perfect

solution for Safari World.

I'll just put the agama lizards

in with the lions. Brilliant!
