I'm Ricky. I live in Bristol.

0:00:020:00:05

By day, I work as an animator, which is lucky, cos I love art.

0:00:050:00:10

I live for art.

0:00:100:00:11

I even dream of art... Excuse!

0:00:110:00:13

I draw.

0:00:130:00:14

I paint.

0:00:140:00:16

I make things.

0:00:170:00:19

I hang out with my mates,

0:00:210:00:22

Gavin, Michelle,

0:00:220:00:24

Rich and Sarah.

0:00:240:00:26

Most importantly, I make ninja moves.

0:00:260:00:28

Some people call me...

0:00:300:00:34

Today, I'll show you how to turn your salad into a face place mat.

0:00:340:00:38

Ninja skills.

0:00:380:00:39

More food for thought, with fruit pompoms,

0:00:390:00:43

and I get fit, and fit in some art, with some other guys dressed in red.

0:00:430:00:47

Because today, it's...

0:00:480:00:50

HE YAWNS

0:00:540:00:56

It's a new day.

0:00:560:00:58

But it seems like I've overslept. It's almost lunchtime!

0:00:580:01:01

I'd better get my ninja on.

0:01:010:01:04

And my clothes.

0:01:040:01:05

Whoa.

0:01:190:01:20

I feel dizzy! I didn't realise I was afraid of heights.

0:01:200:01:24

Ooh, I still feel a bit dizzy. Maybe I'm just hungry.

0:01:280:01:31

I'll nip out and get some supplies.

0:01:310:01:33

Can't wait to tuck in to these doughnuts.

0:01:350:01:38

Hi, Ricky. Word's got round you need some help eating some doughnuts.

0:01:380:01:42

You don't even like doughnuts.

0:01:420:01:43

I don't. But Michelle, Matt and Rich do.

0:01:430:01:48

You don't mind if I take some for them, do you?

0:01:480:01:50

-But now there's none left for me!

-Probably for the best.

0:01:500:01:53

Less a six-pack, more of a family pack.

0:01:530:01:56

Mm. This is much better for me,

0:02:020:02:05

and it's given me an idea to brighten this place up.

0:02:050:02:07

It's...

0:02:070:02:09

the Art Ninja fruit pompoms.

0:02:090:02:11

Get rid of that. Ooh, in the bin.

0:02:130:02:16

So I've got myself some card and an old CD here.

0:02:170:02:19

Just going to draw round that with a pencil,

0:02:190:02:23

and around the centre bit there.

0:02:230:02:25

And just to make that hole in the middle slightly larger,

0:02:250:02:28

I'm going to draw round a glue stick.

0:02:280:02:30

There we are.

0:02:320:02:34

Going to draw a couple of lines now, just to make a horseshoe shape.

0:02:340:02:37

I'm going to cut that out.

0:02:390:02:40

Now I'm going to need two of those, so I'm going to use my ninja skills.

0:02:510:02:55

There we go. Now I'm going to grab some wool.

0:02:560:02:59

Just get a little bit of white here.

0:03:010:03:03

I'm just going to lay that loosely on one of the cardboard horseshoes.

0:03:060:03:10

And with a couple of bits of masking tape,

0:03:100:03:12

stick it down on the other side.

0:03:120:03:14

I'll show you what this bit of thread is for later.

0:03:140:03:17

Then I'm going to sandwich that between the two pieces of card.

0:03:200:03:24

There we are. This is the frame that I'm going to wrap

0:03:240:03:26

most of the wool around to make the pompom.

0:03:260:03:29

Start off with a nice bit of red. Very vibrant red.

0:03:290:03:32

Just pop it in like that. I don't need to tie it off.

0:03:330:03:36

I can literally just start wrapping it round.

0:03:360:03:39

As long as I go over the loose piece, it won't come undone.

0:03:390:03:42

And I'm not going to detach the red, I'm going to leave it on there,

0:03:470:03:50

just loose like that, and I'm going to add a couple of threads of white.

0:03:500:03:54

Every now and again I'm going to stop

0:03:540:03:56

and disperse a bit more white through it.

0:03:560:03:58

And those little white loops every now and again

0:03:580:04:00

interspersed throughout it will become the seeds.

0:04:000:04:03

That's it, and then back on the red.

0:04:050:04:06

Just going to intersperse a couple more loops of white in here

0:04:100:04:13

so the seeds go all the way out of the fruit.

0:04:130:04:15

So you may have guessed from the colours that I'm using

0:04:150:04:18

that I'm doing a strawberry with some white seeds,

0:04:180:04:21

and the green wool is for the stalk at the top.

0:04:210:04:24

A great way to unwind, although I'm winding up.

0:04:270:04:30

By making the horseshoe larger or smaller,

0:04:320:04:35

you can create bigger or smaller fruit.

0:04:350:04:37

Right, I'm done with that red now. Snip that bit off.

0:04:370:04:40

I'm done with the white too.

0:04:400:04:43

Now I'm going to do the stalk of the strawberry.

0:04:430:04:45

That's this nice green colour. Very rich green.

0:04:450:04:48

I'm just winding the green on one end

0:04:520:04:54

because the stalk's only at one end of a strawberry.

0:04:540:04:57

There we go. I think that's done.

0:04:570:04:59

Chop off the excess of the green.

0:04:590:05:01

Just going to ease free our little loose bits of wool

0:05:050:05:08

that I tied between the horseshoes at the beginning.

0:05:080:05:12

That's the first one. And one from the other side.

0:05:120:05:15

Now I'm just going to tie a loose knot in it, like that.

0:05:150:05:19

Not a very tight knot because I need a bit of space

0:05:190:05:21

so I can get my scissors between the two pieces of cardboard.

0:05:210:05:25

I'm going to slide a pair of scissors between them like that,

0:05:250:05:27

and start cutting the wool.

0:05:270:05:29

Now this is a tricky bit, so maybe get an adult to help.

0:05:290:05:32

Don't worry about cutting the card

0:05:330:05:36

cos that's going to slide out later, anyway.

0:05:360:05:38

There we go. It's starting to look a bit more like a strawberry now,

0:05:420:05:45

full and juicy.

0:05:450:05:46

Now I'm going to tie those two pieces of wool a lot tighter

0:05:460:05:49

to hold it all together and slide out these pieces of card.

0:05:490:05:53

Looks like a bit of a fluffy weird strawberry at the moment,

0:05:560:05:58

so we can start giving it a bit of a haircut.

0:05:580:06:01

You see how all the white bits

0:06:030:06:05

I wrapped round every now and again have become the seeds.

0:06:050:06:08

Just cutting the stalk into shape now.

0:06:100:06:12

And I've left these two white strands here

0:06:140:06:16

so I can hang it up once I've finished.

0:06:160:06:18

They are decorations, after all.

0:06:180:06:20

There we are. I think that's done.

0:06:220:06:24

A fabulous strawberry. I'll just add it to my display.

0:06:240:06:26

You can use different coloured wool and make any fruit you like.

0:06:260:06:29

I've made a watermelon and a couple of slices of kiwi fruit too.

0:06:290:06:33

The fruit pompom - a juicy decoration for any occasion.

0:06:350:06:40

What is Gav talking about, more family pack than six-pack?

0:06:480:06:53

I'm looking good.

0:06:530:06:54

What are you talking about? Look at that belly!

0:06:540:06:57

Hey, you, don't be so cheeky.

0:06:570:07:00

A six-pack is far more fitting for a ninja, though.

0:07:000:07:02

On reflection, maybe he's right.

0:07:020:07:05

Maybe I'd lose more junk from my trunk if I was animated.

0:07:060:07:10

A bit like this picture.

0:07:100:07:12

Hey, guys, watch this.

0:07:120:07:14

-Dude!

-Wow!

0:07:190:07:21

Is this is a new trick of Rich's?

0:07:210:07:23

No, it's just an animation.

0:07:230:07:25

A floaty one.

0:07:250:07:27

I've no idea how that happened.

0:07:270:07:29

Well, usually in animation if we want to hold

0:07:290:07:32

a character in the air, we'd use some wire that we call rigging.

0:07:320:07:35

Then we'd take a clean plate of the animation set

0:07:350:07:37

without the model in, and we'd paint them out afterwards.

0:07:370:07:40

But in this case, we're going to do a little trick.

0:07:420:07:45

So to make this cool friend-floaty animation,

0:07:450:07:48

you'll need a friend...

0:07:480:07:50

..or some friends.

0:07:520:07:54

Yeah. And a tablet device with some kind of animation app.

0:08:010:08:05

And you can put it together in just three ninja moves.

0:08:050:08:08

'Ninja move number one.'

0:08:080:08:11

So the first thing I need to do is practice

0:08:110:08:13

getting good at taking a picture at just the right time,

0:08:130:08:15

and that's when Rich is at his highest point in his jump.

0:08:150:08:18

Hmm, that was a little bit too late. Try again.

0:08:200:08:23

Hey, that's better.

0:08:240:08:26

About...there.

0:08:260:08:28

That's the good bit there. Also,

0:08:280:08:29

I'm going to want him to try and keep his hands in the same place.

0:08:290:08:32

Otherwise it goes like this.

0:08:320:08:34

Let's try a couple more, Rich. Go.

0:08:340:08:36

Ah, that's perfect.

0:08:360:08:38

'Ninja move number two.'

0:08:380:08:39

Time for me to start shooting my animation.

0:08:390:08:41

Rich, I think you've got it easy.

0:08:410:08:43

Last year I was like face down on the floor, with him on my back.

0:08:430:08:46

'Ninja move number three.'

0:08:480:08:49

We can have him fly all over the skate park.

0:08:490:08:52

We're going to do some fly-bys, try some close-ups, some wides,

0:08:520:08:55

maybe a few following camera angles.

0:08:550:08:57

And the whole time, we're going to try and have some fun.

0:08:570:09:00

We've shot all our frames of the animation.

0:09:110:09:13

So, Rich, are you ready to see it?

0:09:130:09:15

Well, I think it's time to take a look at our mini-masterpiece.

0:09:170:09:21

If I want to get back to full ninja fitness,

0:09:340:09:36

it's time I started a fitness regime.

0:09:360:09:39

RIPPING

0:09:530:09:54

BOINGING

0:09:560:09:58

I didn't exactly exercise a healthy balance there.

0:10:030:10:06

So, back to the drawing board.

0:10:060:10:08

Maybe eating more healthily is the key, like this salad.

0:10:080:10:12

Mm.

0:10:140:10:15

I think I can make this even better with a face.

0:10:170:10:21

If I may be so bold as to make a suggestion?

0:10:210:10:24

Who are you?

0:10:240:10:25

I am Giuseppe Arcimboldo.

0:10:250:10:28

I was an artist in Italy in the 16th century.

0:10:280:10:33

Yeah, but why are you on a lettuce leaf?

0:10:330:10:35

Well, if you'd just "lettuce" explain,

0:10:350:10:38

I am most famous for creating realistic portraits out of food.

0:10:380:10:43

Fruits, vegetables and fish, and flowers too.

0:10:430:10:46

Here's an example of my work now.

0:10:460:10:48

Right. So I could make a salad face place mat

0:10:510:10:54

inspired by you, Arcimboldo. But why do I have to use lettuce?

0:10:540:10:59

Just "cos".

0:10:590:11:01

Ha-ha! Just "cos".

0:11:010:11:03

Good lettuce joke. I'm "green" with envy.

0:11:030:11:06

Not as green as this!

0:11:060:11:08

I'm going to start making my salad face,

0:11:100:11:12

and I'm going to make a self-portrait.

0:11:120:11:15

I'm going to start with some mushrooms.

0:11:150:11:17

These are going to be my eyes,

0:11:170:11:19

and I've sliced the tops off, so they're flat.

0:11:190:11:21

Bits of cucumber will be my irises.

0:11:220:11:26

Mm, relaxing.

0:11:260:11:28

Pop them on.

0:11:300:11:31

And then some black olives, halved, will be the pupils.

0:11:310:11:36

Boop, boop.

0:11:360:11:38

This carved piece of cucumber will be my nose. Fit in there.

0:11:380:11:41

And I've hollowed out a tomato to be my mouth.

0:11:410:11:44

Going to make some eyelids.

0:11:460:11:47

These are from little shavings of cucumber.

0:11:470:11:51

You can make these with a vegetable peeler.

0:11:520:11:54

Going to put a little olive in there

0:11:570:12:00

so it's like I'm going mwah!

0:12:000:12:02

Now I'm going to tear up some cauliflower

0:12:020:12:05

and that's going to become the skin on my face.

0:12:050:12:08

Tearing and twisting the cauliflower breaks it up into nice tiny bits.

0:12:140:12:18

I think I'll do the ears next, and I'm going to use a mushroom.

0:12:250:12:28

Pull out the stalk and I'm going to tear it in half.

0:12:280:12:31

And each side is going to become an ear.

0:12:340:12:37

I'm going to do my ninja headband with some halves of strawberry.

0:12:380:12:41

Now some hair.

0:12:500:12:52

I'm going to use some yellow pepper.

0:12:530:12:55

Now just to give the chin a little bit more definition,

0:13:010:13:04

I'm going to tear up some little strips of lettuce.

0:13:040:13:07

Now it's time for my trademark glasses.

0:13:160:13:19

For that, I'm going to use a red onion.

0:13:190:13:22

Cut it open. All these lovely rings, they're going to be my lenses.

0:13:220:13:25

So let's just pop out the middle.

0:13:250:13:28

One lens.

0:13:310:13:32

I can use one of these larger rings from the onion

0:13:330:13:35

to do the rest of the glasses frames.

0:13:350:13:38

There we go. I'm finishing off my place mat

0:13:390:13:41

with a knife and fork.

0:13:410:13:43

Yep, it looks just like me.

0:13:430:13:45

That's the first stage. Now I need to take a photo.

0:13:450:13:48

I'll just print that out.

0:13:500:13:51

Ninja skills.

0:13:530:13:54

But to make it more like a place mat,

0:13:540:13:56

it's going to need a plastic coating.

0:13:560:13:58

I'm putting sticky-backed plastic on

0:13:590:14:01

so if I drop food on the place mat, I can just wipe it off.

0:14:010:14:05

And you need to take your time when you're sticking this on

0:14:060:14:09

cos it can be quite tricky,

0:14:090:14:10

but I don't need to do that cos I'm a ninja. Hi-ya!

0:14:100:14:12

Check that out.

0:14:130:14:15

There you go - the Arcimboldo salad-face place mat,

0:14:160:14:19

and you can make other place mats with similar bite.

0:14:190:14:22

So how about this one?

0:14:220:14:24

With some nice carrot eyelids and sweetcorn teeth.

0:14:240:14:27

TEETH RATTLE

0:14:270:14:29

Or an entire carrot face,

0:14:290:14:30

with a long carrot nose and green lettuce hair.

0:14:300:14:33

Or this one, with a carrot-top beard.

0:14:330:14:36

Not only does this carrot face look good, but you can eat it, too.

0:14:380:14:42

I'm still a bit peckish.

0:14:430:14:45

PHONE RINGS

0:14:470:14:48

Hi, Ricky, it's your mum!

0:14:480:14:51

I hope you're keeping fit.

0:14:510:14:53

Anyway, here's some more art to fit in.

0:14:530:14:55

A ball game with bite!

0:14:550:14:58

THEY CHEER

0:14:580:14:59

Amazing edible eyes!

0:14:590:15:02

And you swap your skateboard for a new set of wheels.

0:15:020:15:06

Ricky, pose as much as you like - it's a workout you need, son.

0:15:060:15:11

-BOTH:

-Ricky, Ricky, Ricky.

0:15:110:15:13

Fat chance of that with these ninja apprentices about.

0:15:130:15:16

Ricky, can you make art with a stamp?

0:15:160:15:19

I'm sorry, I'm going to have to return that suggestion to sender.

0:15:190:15:22

-BOTH:

-Awww.

0:15:220:15:24

Ricky, can you make art with a plastic bottle?

0:15:240:15:27

Yeah, all right. I choose you.

0:15:270:15:30

-BOTH:

-Yay!

0:15:300:15:32

-What's your names?

-My name's Lola...

0:15:320:15:34

My name's Bailey.

0:15:340:15:37

Nice to meet you, Lola and Bailey. And where are you guys from?

0:15:370:15:40

-We're from Bristol.

-Oh, yeah. Awesome.

0:15:400:15:43

So I'm going to use a green plastic water bottle

0:15:430:15:45

to make something that lives in the water.

0:15:450:15:47

I'll just go and grab my stuff.

0:15:470:15:50

Some fun tools, some glue, and a plastic water bottle.

0:15:500:15:54

All right, I'm going to start by taking off the lid.

0:15:540:15:57

But I'm going to keep hold of it cos I need that for later.

0:15:570:16:01

Then I'm going to draw a line about two-thirds of the way

0:16:010:16:04

down the bottle, where I'm going to cut off.

0:16:040:16:06

-What are you going to make?

-What are you going to make?

0:16:060:16:08

I'll give you a clue. It goes snap-snap.

0:16:080:16:10

-Crocodile.

-Crocodile!

0:16:100:16:12

Yeah. Crocodile.

0:16:120:16:14

All right. Cut plastic can be quite sharp

0:16:140:16:17

so it would be good to get an adult to help you.

0:16:170:16:21

Now, I'm going to draw a line for the mouth,

0:16:210:16:23

cos otherwise, how's the crocodile going to eat,

0:16:230:16:26

-if he hasn't got a mouth?

-Yeah!

0:16:260:16:28

OK. I'm just going to cut out the edges now.

0:16:290:16:31

I've just drawn a line round where the mouth's going to be.

0:16:310:16:33

OK, so here's how his mouth's looking.

0:16:350:16:38

He can't catch his prey without eyes or teeth,

0:16:380:16:40

so I'm going to make those out of some white card.

0:16:400:16:43

I'm doing nine big teeth.

0:16:430:16:44

I'm going to do seven small ones.

0:16:460:16:49

Let's see your teeth. Can you do a crocodile chomp?

0:16:490:16:51

HE LAUGHS

0:16:510:16:53

You guys are being quite scary.

0:16:530:16:56

Right, so I'm just drawing its eyes,

0:16:560:16:57

cos how's it going to see otherwise, right?

0:16:570:16:59

OK, now I'm going to cut them out.

0:16:590:17:01

Just doing a bit of dentistry here, friendly little gnashers.

0:17:010:17:05

Right. Bailey, make your funny face. I'm going to put them on the screen.

0:17:080:17:12

Yeah!

0:17:120:17:14

Lola, now you.

0:17:140:17:15

Whoa, that is freaky.

0:17:160:17:18

Now I'm going to do some little green bumps

0:17:180:17:21

to go along the back of the crocodile.

0:17:210:17:23

I'm going to use some glue stick.

0:17:250:17:26

And I probably don't need that last bump there, so let's chop that off.

0:17:310:17:34

Let's put on some eyes so he can see.

0:17:340:17:36

Now the cool thing about this crocodile

0:17:370:17:39

is it's going to be a little bit of a game.

0:17:390:17:42

I'm just going to grab some sticky tape.

0:17:450:17:46

HE GROWLS

0:17:530:17:56

I'm going to start sticking the teeth in now,

0:17:560:17:58

and just for ease, you can do it with sticky tape.

0:17:580:18:01

Right in the middle.

0:18:020:18:04

Nearly finished my dentistry now.

0:18:060:18:08

Just need a couple of fillings.

0:18:080:18:10

So what do you think of the crocodile so far?

0:18:130:18:16

-Good.

-Good.

0:18:160:18:18

I need something for him to eat.

0:18:190:18:21

I'm going to do that using some orange card,

0:18:210:18:23

a bit of thicker card, to make a fish.

0:18:230:18:25

Now I'm just going to poke a hole through the fish

0:18:270:18:29

and I'm going to do that by putting down a bit of modelling clay

0:18:290:18:32

to keep the table nice and safe.

0:18:320:18:34

So I've got a bit of string and I'm going to tie it through the fish.

0:18:340:18:38

The string should be slightly longer than the bottle.

0:18:390:18:43

And remember I told you I kept the lid from earlier?

0:18:430:18:45

-Yeah.

-Mm-hmm.

0:18:450:18:47

Well, now I'm going to put the bit of string through the top.

0:18:470:18:51

And screw the lid on over the top of it so it's held in place.

0:18:530:18:56

-So you girls ready to see it? BOTH:

-Yeah.

0:18:570:19:00

-You ready to see it in action? BOTH:

-Yeah.

0:19:000:19:03

Here's the game.

0:19:030:19:04

HE GROWLS, THEY CHEER

0:19:050:19:08

First go. What would you guys score it?

0:19:080:19:11

-BOTH:

-10!

0:19:110:19:13

I'll take that. Thanks very much, guys. Bye-bye.

0:19:130:19:15

-BOTH:

-Bye!

0:19:150:19:17

Don't lose your bottle! Have a go yourself.

0:19:190:19:22

Here's a quick art tip of how to draw a muscleman.

0:19:220:19:25

So I'm going to give him a nice chunky head,

0:19:250:19:28

a bit of a chiselled jaw,

0:19:280:19:31

and a mouth, some eyes...

0:19:310:19:34

..bit of hair.

0:19:350:19:36

Now for the muscles. I go straight onto the shoulders,

0:19:380:19:41

and they're going to be circular. Big biceps.

0:19:410:19:43

And the arms are going to end with tiny hands,

0:19:460:19:48

just to accentuate the big muscles.

0:19:480:19:49

And the body's going to be a kind of V-shape.

0:19:510:19:54

All the way down to his feet.

0:19:540:19:55

Just highlights I've added here are really big strong broad shoulders.

0:19:550:19:59

Now on his chest, some pectorals, little squiggles for a six-pack.

0:19:590:20:04

I'm also going to give this guy

0:20:040:20:05

a couple of big dumbbells he's easily lifting.

0:20:050:20:08

There you go - a quick art tip.

0:20:120:20:14

Why don't you flex your artistic muscles and have a go?

0:20:170:20:21

Ooh!

0:20:230:20:24

Hey, Gav, what are you doing back?

0:20:290:20:32

-Any more doughnuts I can help you with?

-No.

0:20:320:20:34

There is something you can help me with, though.

0:20:340:20:36

I need some advice on how I can get fitter.

0:20:360:20:38

I do have this. Healthy Heart, Healthy Art.

0:20:380:20:43

Annoying Best Mate Monthly still not arrived, then?

0:20:430:20:45

Ha-ha. Just trying to help. Catch you later.

0:20:450:20:48

Cheers. Don't think I'll be needing that.

0:20:480:20:51

-Hey, you there.

-Not him again! Where's the remote?

0:20:510:20:55

Ever have trouble facing your food?

0:20:550:20:58

Can't face you right now.

0:20:590:21:00

Now you can put a face ON your food!

0:21:000:21:04

Delicious. Here's how you make them.

0:21:040:21:09

You'll need some edible rice paper.

0:21:090:21:12

Some pens with edible ink. Tasty.

0:21:140:21:18

Take one of the pens and design yourself some funny eyes.

0:21:180:21:22

You can buy edible ink pens in a craft shop.

0:21:220:21:26

These are smiley eyes.

0:21:280:21:30

These are - ohh - sleepy eyes.

0:21:320:21:36

And these are dizzy eyes.

0:21:370:21:40

Cut those out with some scissors.

0:21:410:21:44

Careful, it's delicate.

0:21:440:21:47

One set.

0:21:480:21:50

There. Take a plate of food.

0:21:530:21:57

Take a bowl of water,

0:21:570:21:59

and lightly dab the back of the eyes to stick them to your food.

0:21:590:22:05

This is a sleepy pepper.

0:22:050:22:07

Poor sleepy pepper, need a sleep?

0:22:070:22:10

"Yes." Ha-ha.

0:22:100:22:11

And a dizzy aubergine.

0:22:110:22:14

Hey, look - happy AND tasty!

0:22:170:22:21

Mm.

0:22:240:22:25

I'm not going to get a six-pack by just eating.

0:22:250:22:28

Where's that fitness magazine?

0:22:280:22:30

Here it is. But I've spilt paint on it. Oh, no.

0:22:310:22:35

I wanted to check out the ad for fitness training.

0:22:350:22:38

I mean, it looks like a ninja training camp.

0:22:380:22:41

I can't read all of it, cos of the red splodge, but there's an address.

0:22:410:22:45

I'm going to go check it out.

0:22:450:22:47

Ninja training camp, here I come.

0:22:470:22:50

That'll get me fit.

0:22:500:22:52

Ninja skills.

0:22:590:23:01

They're wearing red,

0:23:050:23:07

but they don't LOOK like ninjas.

0:23:070:23:09

I think I've come to the wrong place.

0:23:110:23:13

-Oh!

-Where do you think you're going, recruit?

0:23:190:23:22

Is this not the ninja fitness facility?

0:23:220:23:24

You're at the home of the British Army's Freefall Display Team,

0:23:240:23:27

the Red Devils.

0:23:270:23:28

Get in there and get on the floor.

0:23:340:23:36

Move! Move, move.

0:23:360:23:38

Faster. Faster, faster.

0:23:380:23:40

-Stand still.

-What do you want me to do?

0:23:400:23:42

You, get on that board.

0:23:420:23:44

OK, carry on.

0:23:460:23:47

Why are we doing this?

0:23:500:23:52

We practice this on the ground before we throw you out the plane.

0:23:520:23:55

-But I don't want to get thrown out of a plane!

-Tough.

0:23:550:23:58

These are fun, aren't they? Can I have one of these?

0:23:590:24:01

No, you can't.

0:24:010:24:03

Your hands are so soft.

0:24:050:24:06

All these moves are making me really dizzy.

0:24:080:24:11

But they have given me an idea for some great art.

0:24:110:24:14

But first, we'd better get our ninja on.

0:24:140:24:17

Squad, halt.

0:24:220:24:24

Art ninja!

0:24:240:24:26

Do you know how you use your boards to practise your moves?

0:24:280:24:32

Well, get a load of my board.

0:24:320:24:34

Now, I'm going to need you guys to wheel me around on that cog.

0:24:340:24:37

-You up for that?

-Too right.

0:24:370:24:39

Too right, too left, too right.

0:24:390:24:41

Get on with it.

0:24:410:24:43

I'm going to try and make a giant pattern.

0:24:440:24:47

So this board is going to go around this big cog on the outside.

0:24:470:24:50

I'm going to take a little seat on it...

0:24:500:24:52

..and with a felt pen I'm going to poke it through one of the holes.

0:24:530:24:56

-Matt, can you come and give me a push, mate?

-All right, Ricky.

0:24:560:24:59

A nice smooth motion all the way round.

0:24:590:25:02

OK.

0:25:020:25:03

Make sure the teeth are going all the way into these little nooks.

0:25:040:25:07

And as we move around, we're going to create lines,

0:25:070:25:11

which will make a pattern.

0:25:110:25:13

How's it looking, Alex?

0:25:130:25:14

Yeah, it's looking good. It's starting to take shape.

0:25:140:25:17

Coming to an end...and stop. There we go.

0:25:170:25:20

Right, I'm changing pens, to red, and I'm changing personnel.

0:25:200:25:25

-Gaz.

-OK, mate.OOh!

-You're up dude. OK.

0:25:250:25:29

I'm going to put the pen into a different hole

0:25:290:25:32

and this will create a different pattern.

0:25:320:25:34

I know you're used to pulling ripcords, mate,

0:25:380:25:41

but mind you don't rip the paper.

0:25:410:25:43

And stop.

0:25:480:25:50

Oh, yeah. Good work, dude.

0:25:500:25:51

-Thanks, mate.

-You're free to go.

0:25:510:25:53

Now I'm going to change colour one last time,

0:25:540:25:57

from red to a nice ninja black.

0:25:570:25:59

Come on, Matt, you're back in.

0:25:590:26:01

All right, Ricky.

0:26:010:26:02

Now, I've called you over cos I think you have true ninja potential.

0:26:020:26:05

-Oh, thanks, Ricky.

-Do you think I could be a Red Devil?

0:26:050:26:08

HE LAUGHS

0:26:080:26:09

Oh, are you being serious?

0:26:090:26:11

Just push me.

0:26:110:26:12

By putting the pen into the hole closest to the middle,

0:26:120:26:15

I will create a totally new pattern.

0:26:150:26:17

Go for it. Remember, get it right into those teeth.

0:26:170:26:20

OK.

0:26:200:26:21

Nearly there.

0:26:270:26:28

Can you just roll us into the middle, please, mate?

0:26:300:26:32

There we have it.

0:26:340:26:36

Revolutionary art.

0:26:360:26:38

Brought to life with a little bit of digital magic.

0:26:390:26:42

Look at that. Good teamwork, guys.

0:26:450:26:48

You made me jump.

0:26:480:26:50

Funny you should say "jump". You ready to do yours?

0:26:500:26:52

Cos this parachute's got your name on it.

0:26:520:26:54

Let's go.

0:26:540:26:56

HE GULPS

0:26:560:26:58

OWL HOOTS

0:26:590:27:01

Well, that day really flew by.

0:27:020:27:05

Today has taught me a valuable Art Ninja lesson -

0:27:050:27:08

if you're making art on a higher level,

0:27:080:27:11

just grab pens, a board, and the nearest Red Devil.

0:27:110:27:15

The funny thing is, I didn't actually get to go up in a plane.

0:27:150:27:18

The weather turned bad. What a shame.

0:27:180:27:21

So, it turned out to be an awesome day, after all.

0:27:210:27:25

PHONE RINGS

0:27:250:27:26

Who's that?

0:27:260:27:28

Hey, Corporal.

0:27:300:27:32

What's that? The weather's good tomorrow?

0:27:320:27:36

I'm all booked in for a jump in the morning?

0:27:360:27:38

Yes, Corporal. OK. I'll see you then.

0:27:380:27:41

Argh!!
