In William's bedroom, a war had started.

"Nyeeeahhh!" went the dive bomber.

"William!" went William's mum. "This room is a horrible tip.

"I want it tidied now." "Mum, it's not fair!"

"Tidy it!" said William's mum.

Tidying was hard work, then William remembered his Wish Wellingtons.

"I wish I had lots of help to tidy my room," wished William.

"Everyone over here!" ordered Techno the robot.

"Right oh," said Teddy.

"Yes, sir!" snapped the soldiers.

"Diggers and dinosaurs, fall in by the right..."

"Half time?" asked the footballers.

"Clear up, tidy up, clean up," William told them.

The toys swept into action. Each of them had their own way of tidying up.

ELEPHANT TRUMPETS, WHISTLE BLOWS

All William had to do was watch.

SOLDIERS MUTTER

"Dirt on the floor, cleaning priority!" bleeped Techno.

"All taps on, bucket filling in progress."

"Floor cleaning commencing."

"Oh, you're for it now, tin head!"

"Out of control, out of control, out of control!"

And that's how the trouble started.

"Stop it, all of you!" cried William. "Jumbo, no!"

SHOUTING

"William! William!" called William's mother.

"Why are the taps on?" "Oh, no, all this mess!" despaired William.

"What can I do?" "William, what are you up to?"

William's mother was getting closer.

"I wish that none of this had happened and my room was tidy!"

And it was.

Just in time.

"It's beautiful," she said, "but why have you got your boots on?"

"To make sure everything was tidy,"

replied William looking at his Wish Wellingtons.
