CBeebies Bedtime Story. | 0:34:03 | 0:34:05
Hello, I'm Kacey. I'm just looking around the garden | 0:34:07 | 0:34:11
to see if any of the animals are ready to go to bed, | 0:34:11 | 0:34:14
and if they've laid the table ready for breakfast. | 0:34:14 | 0:34:18
I love breakfast, especially porridge, and I know a story | 0:34:18 | 0:34:22
about a bear who feels exactly the same way as me! | 0:34:22 | 0:34:26
Early one morning, Little Bear woke up with a rumble in his tummy. | 0:34:27 | 0:34:31
He crept downstairs as quietly as he could, but when he got | 0:34:31 | 0:34:38
to the kitchen, the porridge pot was nowhere to be seen! | 0:34:38 | 0:34:42
"That's strange!" said Little Bear. | 0:34:42 | 0:34:44
"Mama always leaves it ready for breakfast." | 0:34:44 | 0:34:48
Just then there was a knock at the door. | 0:34:48 | 0:34:51
SHE TAPS THE BENCH | 0:34:51 | 0:34:53
Little Bear lifted the latch and there stood Little Billy Goat Gruff. | 0:34:53 | 0:34:59
"Quick, quick, let's run," bleated Billy, | 0:34:59 | 0:35:02
"he can't have gone very far!" | 0:35:02 | 0:35:05
"What do you mean?" asked Little Bear. | 0:35:05 | 0:35:07
"The porridge monster!" cried Billy. "Look!" | 0:35:07 | 0:35:11
He pointed to huge, porridge-y footsteps leading out of the door. | 0:35:11 | 0:35:18
"It's taken our porridge pot, too!" explained Billy. "Come on!" | 0:35:18 | 0:35:23
So Little Bear and Billy set off to find their porridge. | 0:35:23 | 0:35:27
They hadn't gone far when they met Little Miss Muffet. | 0:35:27 | 0:35:30
"Have you seen our porridge? The porridge monster took it!" | 0:35:30 | 0:35:36
"No, but you can share my curds and whey," said Little Miss Muffet. | 0:35:36 | 0:35:40
Little Bear's tummy rumbled. | 0:35:40 | 0:35:44
"Yes, please," he said, just as... | 0:35:44 | 0:35:48
Ker-plop! | 0:35:48 | 0:35:51
A big hairy spider jumped into Little Miss Muffet's bowl. | 0:35:51 | 0:35:57
"Yummy! Breakfast!" said the spider. | 0:35:57 | 0:36:00
"Eek!" cried everyone else, and they ran away over the hills | 0:36:00 | 0:36:04
and down the lane until they came to Jack's house. | 0:36:04 | 0:36:08
"Have you seen our porridge?" asked Little Bear and Billy. | 0:36:08 | 0:36:13
"The big, hairy porridge monster took it." | 0:36:13 | 0:36:17
"No, but you can have some beans," said Jack. | 0:36:17 | 0:36:21
Little Bear's tummy rumbled. | 0:36:21 | 0:36:24
"Well," he began, when... | 0:36:24 | 0:36:28
Thump! Thump! Thump! | 0:36:28 | 0:36:32
An enormous boot appeared at the top of the beanstalk. | 0:36:32 | 0:36:37
"It's the Giant!" yelped Jack. | 0:36:37 | 0:36:40
"RUN!" | 0:36:40 | 0:36:42
And Little Bear, and Billy, and Little Miss Muffet, and Jack, | 0:36:42 | 0:36:47
ran and ran through the fields and up to the forest where they met | 0:36:47 | 0:36:52
Little Red Riding Hood. | 0:36:52 | 0:36:54
"Have you seen our porridge?" panted Little Bear, and Billy. | 0:36:54 | 0:36:59
"The giant, hairy porridge monster took it." | 0:36:59 | 0:37:04
"No," said Little Red Riding Hood, "but you can have some jam." | 0:37:04 | 0:37:09
Little Bear's tummy rumbled. "Yummy!" he said. | 0:37:09 | 0:37:14
But then... | 0:37:14 | 0:37:15
Yooooo! | 0:37:15 | 0:37:18
A terrible howling came from deep within the forest. | 0:37:18 | 0:37:22
"It's the Big, Bad Wolf!" cried Little Red Riding Hood. "Run!" | 0:37:22 | 0:37:28
So off they all ran, through the forest and down the stream, | 0:37:28 | 0:37:32
straight into The Three Bears, who were coming home from holiday. | 0:37:32 | 0:37:38
"Have you see our porridge?" gasped Little Bear, and Billy. | 0:37:38 | 0:37:42
"The giant, hairy, howling porridge monster took it." | 0:37:42 | 0:37:48
"No, but come and join us for breakfast, dears," said Mother Bear. | 0:37:48 | 0:37:53
Little Bear's tummy rumbled. | 0:37:53 | 0:37:56
"Thanks!" he said, when suddenly... | 0:37:56 | 0:38:00
"Look!" cried Billy, "the footsteps are back!" | 0:38:00 | 0:38:06
"Hmm!" said Father Bear. "They seem to be leading to... | 0:38:06 | 0:38:12
"..my house!" | 0:38:14 | 0:38:15
Little Bear shivered. | 0:38:15 | 0:38:17
"It must be the porridge monster. | 0:38:17 | 0:38:21
"The giant, hairy, howling, hungry porridge monster, | 0:38:21 | 0:38:29
"and it's going to eat us for breakfast!" | 0:38:29 | 0:38:33
Everyone held their breath as Mother Bear reached for the door. | 0:38:33 | 0:38:38
Slowly she turned the handle. | 0:38:38 | 0:38:40
"Come on out, whoever you are!" she cried, | 0:38:40 | 0:38:45
and flung the door open wide to find...Goldilocks! | 0:38:45 | 0:38:50
And pots and pots of steaming, sticky porridge. | 0:38:50 | 0:38:55
"Hooray!" said Goldilocks. "You got the invitations!" | 0:38:55 | 0:38:58
"Yummy!" everyone cried. "It's a porridge party!" | 0:38:58 | 0:39:03
And monster portions of porridge were eaten | 0:39:03 | 0:39:06
until no-one could eat any more. | 0:39:06 | 0:39:08
And Little Bear said... | 0:39:08 | 0:39:10
"Breakfast, at last!" | 0:39:10 | 0:39:13
And that story was called, Who's Been Eating My Porridge? | 0:39:14 | 0:39:18
It's nearly time for bed, so I can look forward | 0:39:18 | 0:39:22
to porridge in the morning, too. It's time for you to go to bed, | 0:39:22 | 0:39:26
and dream of what you might have for breakfast. | 0:39:26 | 0:39:29
Goodnight, sleep tight, see you soon. | 0:39:29 | 0:39:32
