'Welcome to Copycats, with your hosts, Sam and Mark.
'And today's Copycats are Toby's team from Shropshire
'and Bryony's team from Telford.'
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
-Yes! Come on!
-And welcome to Copycats, the game show where copying is good.
Have you got ants in your pants?
I'm just super-excited about today's show.
Where else can you get drawing, miming and playing the kazoo?
Yes, it's pretty exciting.
And where else do you have a super-duper Copycats challenge
-that will keep you glued to the telly?
-Good point, yes, yes.
Where would you get a money-can't-buy prize?
-It's the Copycat's Trophy. Woo!
It is pretty exciting, I suppose. I've not seen it like that.
Shall we meet the teams before you pee your pants?
-I think you're too late for that one.
-Ah! OK, let's do it.
Toby, team captain, plant it right there. How are you doing?
Fine, thank you. We're looking forward to it.
-Team, are you all right? ALL:
We are now going to take a look at your audition tape.
This is the reason you guys are on Copycats.
"Oh no, it's going to be so embarrassing!" Let's see it.
HE MAKES MONKEY NOISES
THEY ALL SPEAK AT ONCE
Toby's team, everybody. CHEERING
Very good. Over here, we've got Bryony's team.
Come on, give me five. Yeah! How is everybody, good?
-Andy is REALLY good.
-Really up for it! All right.
You were looking at Toby's team's tape. You were smirking, going,
"Look at them! We're not going to see any of our audition footage."
Yeah, we are. Roll it.
-Give me my precious.
# You give me hope and consolation... #
I'm better than Sam and Mark and should take their job!
Oh! These are hot seats!
Give it up for Bryony's team, everyone. Fantastic.
It looks like our teams are ready to start copying.
-I've got a good feeling.
The teams will take it in turns to copy pictures,
actions and displays of musical genius.
Each team will take turns to face the Copycat's challenge later on.
We tossed a coin before the show so Toby's team are going to play first.
Let's play Copycats!
Toby's team. I hope you've been brushing up on your artistic skills.
It's time to play Quick On The Draw. I've got three cards in my hand.
You'll pick one, then you'll have ten seconds
to draw whatever is on that card to the person
next to you, and so on down the line.
There's 50 points to be won, but as we pass it back down the line,
you will lose ten of those points for every incorrect answer.
-Copycats, are you ready?! ALL:
In that case, let's close the doors.
OK. Melissa, I've got pink, yellow and blue.
-It's got to be pink.
-Pink, take a look.
Pink to make the boys wink.
-You happy with that?
Oh dear. Well, the best of luck. Ready, steady, draw.
Not bad, not bad at all. Toby, your turn.
OK, Jamie, go for it.
Martin, your turn.
Time's up, OK!
All right, Alex, for a maximum of 50 points, what's the answer?
-Is that a cow?
-It's not a cow.
40 points, Martin.
Um, a turtle?
It looks a bit like a turtle, but again that's not the answer.
We're playing for 30 points. What's the answer?
It's not a pig which means we play for 20 points. Jamie, a good drawing.
Is it a mouth? Tonsils?
I see where you're going with that. It's not right
which means we're playing for the minimum of ten points. Any idea?
You're supposed to be really good at drawing.
-Is it a worm eating an apple?
It's not, sadly.
-Do you want to tell everybody?
-It's the Loch Ness monster.
-Of course it's the Loch Ness monster!
-It's really difficult to draw.
Very entertaining though but, sadly, that means you get to no points.
Give them a round of applause anyway
Get your pen ready.
I've got a yellow or blue one. Which one would you like?
-I'll go for blue.
-Blue, have a look at that.
Good luck to you, Lynn. Ready, steady, draw. Open the door.
Use all the time if you want, but you don't seem to need it.
All right, Lucy, keep on watching.
You've got three seconds left. Do you want to draw anything else?
OK, Andy, your turn.
OK, stop drawing.
Some budding artists in this team.
Becky, for the full, maximum 50 points,
-any idea what Andy has drawn there?
-It is a pig!
Let me go down the line, let me go down the line!
Oh yeah! Yeah, yeah.
Oh, yeah! Awesome. I tell you what, that is cracking copying.
It does mean Bryony's team get the maximum 50 points.
So, have Toby's team fooled the world
with their eye-witness drawing of the Loch Ness monster?
Probably not. Are Bryony's team wallowing in success?
Let's find out the scores. Thank you very much.
Mr D, what could they be?
'Toby's team have no points and Bryony's team have 50 points.'
The next round will test skill, nerve and determination.
The game just got serious because this is the Copycats' Challenge.
Toby's team won the toss so are first to try the challenge.
Bryony's team, sadly you don't get a sneaky preview of the challenge.
We'll ask you to leave for a few minutes. Off you go.
Toby, you need to select three people to take part
in this awesome, and it is awesome, Copycats' Challenge.
First, let's see how awesome this challenge is.
-Mr D, over to you. He's awesome.
'The Target, holes illuminating sequences of three.
'Players must copy the sequence by throwing a ball
'through the holes in the order they were displayed.
'Ten points will be awarded for every successful throw.'
OK. Good luck.
In three, two, one. Throw!
'Jamie to start. Three holes light up in sequence.
'You match that sequence when you throw the balls. No luck.
'Alex is going to have a go now.
Tries the first one, the second one now.
'Very nearly. At the end, a large hole. Not to worry.
'Martin. You have a go. Try the second one.
'Oh, off the edge
'and the third one.
'Almost there. Jamie then,
'has a second go at the sequence.
'Try the second one. Yes.
'We're off and running.
'And the third one.
'Not quite. OK, then, Martin. Your go.
'Tries the first one and the second.
'What about the third?
'Excellent. Now Jamie again.
'Quickly, guys, come on.
'No luck with the second. And the third one is in. Excellent.
'Very nearly that one. The second one, a little wide.
'And the third one.
'Not quite high enough. Martin.
'Martin's so close each time.
'Oh, Jamie, come on, see if you can get one in. Yes!
'No luck with the third.'
Nice try, guys. Come up here. Nice try.
So many of them were hitting the edge.
Only the shots on target count, but we'll add those points
to your total after the music round.
Bryony's team still need to face the Copycats' Challenge.
The points from the challenges could make all the difference
as a dream ticket to the ballroom is at stake.
Oh! How about that?!
Right, welcome back, Bryony's team.
You couldn't do any better on Quick On The Draw.
You got the maximum 50 points. Bryony, are you any good at miming?
-Let's play Mime Time then. I've got three cards in my hand.
You're going to pick one of these cards.
You'll have ten seconds to mime whatever is on that card
to the next player. And so on down the line.
There's 50 points to be won in this round.
If you know the answer, try and add a bit more detail
as it goes down the line. OK?
-Copycats, are you ready?
OK, in that case, let's close the doors.
Absolutely petrified. You'll be OK, I promise you.
Bryony, I've got three cards in my hands, darling.
A pink one, a yellow one and a blue one.
-I'll go yellow.
-Yellow, have a look at that.
I'm sure it isn't as bad as that.
Good luck to you, Bryony. Ready, steady, mime. Open the door.
All right, Bob.
All right, brilliant.
Close the door. Go on, Andy.
-OK, stop miming.
Some extravagant performances there.
OK, for 50 points, Lynn, any idea what Becky was miming there?
Licking a lolly?
It was licking a lolly!
You guys are on fire!
Bob, I've never eaten a lolly like this.
That does mean, once again, Bryony's team get the maximum 50 points.
-Toby, how's your acting skills?
That's what we like!
OK, best of luck. Pick a card.
The blue one.
Reckon you can do that?
Best of luck. Ready, steady, mime.
Very good. Jamie, your turn.
Go for it.
Time to spare. Martin, go for it.
OK, Alex, go for it, mate.
Time's up! OK. APPLAUSE
All right. Melissa's got the thumbs up there.
Do we know the answer for 50 points?
-Is it cleaning your glasses?
Nice one, guys.
That's exactly what you needed. That was brilliant.
Well done. At the end of Mime Time, you get 50 points.
After Mime Time, have Bryony's team got that round licked?
And have Toby's team got a clear view of the final?
It's time to find out the scores. Mr D, what could they be?
'After Mime Time, Toby's team have 50 points
'and Bryony's team have 100 points.'
It's time to get serious because Bryony's team
are to face the Copycats' Challenge.
Earlier on, Toby's team built up
a pile of points in their challenge, but did they do enough?
Only time will tell.
Bryony's team, it's your chance to add points to your score.
Are you ready?
-You look ready.
Bring it on. Why not?
Toby's team, it's time to leave for a little while.
We'll see you later. Bye.
The results of the challenge will be revealed
at the end of the music round when the extra points scored
may determine which team wins their tickets to the ballroom.
Bryony, you now need to select three people
to face the Copycats' Challenge but before that,
let's take a look at what's in store for you.
Mr D, what could it be?
'The Target, as before, holes illuminating sequences of three.
'Players copy the sequence by throwing a ball
'through each hole in order.
'Ten points will be awarded for every successful throw.'
Here we go. CHEERING
OK, good luck to you. Three, two, one, throw!
'The same sequence as Toby's team had.
'No luck with the first one. Second one? Oh! Very close.
'And the third one. She was smiling though, she enjoyed that.
'This is Lynn's turn.
'No luck there. Second one. Oh, just on the top.
'And the third one. Not quite.
'OK, Becky. You have a go.
'And the second one.
'No luck there. Try the third one? Very serious.
Right. Back to Bryony.
'No luck. And the third one right at the end, the tiny one.
'Let's try Lynn now. Come on.
'Started scoring. No luck with the second one.
'Not to worry.
'Throwing over arm this time which is good.
'Now, Bryony, let's go. Yes! Excellent. Second one. Yes!
'A tiny hole that. And the third one, yes.
'She's got the range now. Lynn.
'Very nearly. Ten seconds left. Come on.
'Try the third. Just wide.
'Becky, come on. See if you can get one in.
Well done, very good.
It's a lot harder than it looks, isn't it?
Well done to Bryony's team.
There's only one more round to play
before we add those points to your total.
We like to keep you guys guessing on Copycats. Did you get it? No!
Welcome back, Toby's team.
This is the Music Round.
All you do is pick a well-known tune
and play it to the person next to you, using the Copycats kazoo.
Like so. Dom, you need to listen to the tune very carefully
because you're going to pass it down the line.
There's a maximum of 50 points up for grabs
so perfect playing means perfect points.
Could everybody except Jamie put the headphones on
so you don't hear the song that's being selected.
Our Copycats are ready. In that case, let's close the doors.
Pick a tune, mate.
-I'll have the middle one.
-The yellow one, take a look.
-Do you know that song?
Brilliant. We're going to remind you.
Let's take a listen right now.
MUSIC: "Pump It" by The Black Eyed Peas
The best of luck, Jamie.
It's a tough one this, actually. Ready, steady, play!
HE ATTEMPTS TO PLAY "PUMP IT"
OK, Dom, your turn. Not bad.
All right, Martin.
OK, Alex. Go for it, mate.
OK, Melissa, go for it.
OK. Oh, wow.
Toby - 50 points -
any idea of the answer?
Nice thinking, but it's not.
For 40 points, Melissa, what are we looking for?
-Bad Romance, Lady Gaga.
-Bad Romance, good song.
It's not though, sadly. We're playing for 30 points.
-Alex, what do you think?
-The Coronation Street tune.
It's not the Coronation Street theme tune. Martin?
The EastEnders theme tune.
It's not the EastEnders theme tune.
We're playing for the minimum 10 points. Dom, what do you think?
-The Simpsons theme tune.
-It's not The Simpsons theme. Jamie?
-Black Eyed Peas, Pump It.
-Let's hear it!
MUSIC: "Pump It" By The Black Eyed Peas
That is such a tough one.
Good copying down the line,
but that means at the end of the music round you get no points.
But give them a round of applause anyway.
-Bob, I've got pink or blue, what would you like?
-Pink top, so pink.
-OK. Have a look at that.
-That's all right.
We're going to play it into the studio about now.
# And I am telling you
# I'm not going
# Even though the rough times are showing... #
Oh, Bob! Good luck to you, mate.
You're going to need all the help you can get. Ready, steady, play.
Open the door.
HE ATTEMPTS TO PLAY THE SONG
Come on, Andy.
Go on, Lynn.
Stop it! Stop, Lynn.
For a maximum of 50 points,
Bryony, any idea what Lynn was playing?
Cracking song, but it's not what we're looking for.
Let's open the door. Lynn, for 40 points.
Is it We're Not Brazil, We're Northern Ireland?
HE HOWLS WITH LAUGHTER
I wish it was. I wish it was!
That would have been great. Let's open the door.
It's not. For 30 points, Becky?
20 points, Andy.
Hound Dog by Elvis.
Great song, but it's not what we're looking for. OK.
Come on, 10 points.
-I'm going for All The Single Ladies.
-OK, it's wrong.
Bob, it was of course,
And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going
by the cast of Glee.
Let's have a listen.
# And I am telling you...
Yeah, that was it(!)
# ..I'm not going... #
OK. That does mean Bryony's team get themselves no points
but I was entertained, I don't know about you.
'Right, so after three rounds
'Toby's team have 50 points
'and Bryony's team have 100 points.'
There are 50 points between the teams
but we still have to reveal the scores from the Copycats Challenge.
Which team are on target?
Which team have a golden ticket to the Copycats Ball Room?
Mark, over to you.
-# Golden ticket! #
OK, the wait is over.
I can reveal that one team got 40 points. Not bad.
I can also reveal that one team got 50 points in the target,
which means the team going through to the Copycats Ball Room
and playing for the trophy is...
Commiserations to Toby's team, you've been a fantastic team.
-Have you enjoyed yourselves?
-You've been a great team.
-SAM AND MARK: Yeah!
All right. Well done to Bryony's team.
Are you up for one more final Copycats Challenge?
Right, Ball Room, here we come. Let's do this.
OK, team, you've made it this far and it's now time to compete
for the fabulous money-can't-buy, limited edition, shiny-springy thing
that is THIS - the Copycats trophy.
It wobbles and everything. Don't touch it!
You're not allowed to touch it. Here is the Ball Room.
Bryony, who have you chosen to take part in the Ball Room?
-Lucy, Bob, and my dad, Andy.
Before we open the doors, let's see what you have to do to win.
Can I not touch it a little bit?
'The Ball Room.
'Players are each assigned a colour.
'They must catch 12 of their colour
'and deposit them in the scoring cylinders before the time runs out.
APPLAUSE AND CHEERING
If you're ready...
Three, two, one...
ALL: Blast the balls!
'Left to right, it's Bob, Andy and Lucy.
'Bob's catching the blue balls,
'Andy the yellow, and Lucy the red.
'Not a lot of movement in there. Come on, guys!
'Catch those balls.
'You cannot pick them up from the Ball Room floor, remember.
'That's what the rules say.
'How are we getting on here?
'Quickly as you can. Yellow and red.
'Oh, look at the blue ones.
'That's very good work by Bob.
'Put those balls into those scoring cylinders
'as quickly as you can.
'Lots of yellows going in there.
'Red as well.
'Andy's doing very well.
'The middle cylinder is filling up rapidly
'which is good news.
'Quickly as you can.
'You've only got 15 seconds left.
'Andy can now help Bob and Lucy, of course.
'Quickly, quickly, quickly.
'We're OK on yellow and blue, we just need red balls now.
'Yes! We've done it.'
APPLAUSE AND CHEERING
That was amazing,
because you did it really quick but it didn't look really quick.
It was like an optical illusion.
Lucy was there just going, "Come to me, balls,
-"I'm not going to you."
-"I'll put them in when I want to."
-Mark, do you want to do the honours?
-More than anything.
Bryony's team, this does mean that you are the Copycats Champions!
APPLAUSE AND CHEERING
Hold it high!
Like a beacon of triumphant-ness.
Is that a word?
-It is now.
I'm sorry to break up the party,
but it's the end of the show!
Have you had a good time, guys? ALL: Yes.
Lovely to have you on the show. We'll be back, don't worry.
We'll see you next time on Copycats!
