Steller Sea Lion Deadly 60 Bites

'On Deadly 60, I've had loads of incredible animal encounters.

'Here's just one of my many favourites.

'This is Deadly 60 Bites.'

'We've come to British Columbia in search of the fish-guzzling

'Steller sea lion, which lurks somewhere in these seas.

'These sea lions are skilful underwater hunters.

'When they're around, no fish is safe.'

Aah!

This is spectacular!

Oh! That's a big male Steller sea lion.

And a very frightening encounter, as soon as we hit the bottom.

Look at the size of him, he's huge!

You guys get close together,

otherwise we'll get absolutely mullered here.

'A fully grown male Steller sea lion

'weights ten times more than me,

'and is one-and-a-half times as long.'

There's loads of them!

I mean, at the moment, the animals do seem

playful and inquisitive,

but because they're so very, very big,

it's a bit unnerving, actually.

Oh, my gosh!

Crikey! I hope they don't grab me like... Ow! Aah, that hurt.

They're starting to bite now. Getting a little bit too bold.

I think it's probably time that we should head up.

'These are only playful bites, but these sea lions

'are one of the most skilful underwater hunters

'I've ever encountered.

'And that's why the Steller sea lion is on the Deadly 60.'
