Twinkle, have you spotted someone? ..I can't see who it is, can you?

'Ooh! It's a camera... Who has a camera?

'It's someone with lots of colours... It's Tallulah!

'And Sweetie is there too. There's her carriage.'

You're right! It's Tallulah and Sweetie! Let's go and say hello.

Hi, Tallulah. That's a nice camera.

Hi, Driver Dan. Yes, I'm collecting.

Collecting cameras?

No. I'm collecting photos of all my friends.

When I've taken a photo of everyone, I'm going to print them off

-and put them in an album.

-What a lovely idea.

-Look...

-these are the photos I've taken already.

-Who do you recognise?

-It's Milly and Lilly, they look like they're dancing.

-So they are!

Precious! Look, she's smiling!

-Who's that? Is it Loopy?

It's the Counting Sheep! All five of them.

It's the Vrooms! They're going so fast, their photo was blurred.

But there are some photos missing. I need Sweetie's photo.

Hip, Hop, keep dancing and I'll take your photo.

Our dancing isn't very good today. We keep bumping into each other.

We look silly! You can't take our photo like this!

Oh, dear! I'll never complete my collection.

Maybe your dancing would be easier if you had some music.

Music! That's what we need!

Yes! But where are we going to find music?

I know JUST the book! Is everyone settled down and ready to listen?

-Are all of you sitting down, ready to listen?

This story is called Button Owl.

It was written by Janet Thomas and the pictures are by Rebecca Elgar.

Owl loved to fly at night.

Bright, moonlit nights were his absolute favourite!

Then he could go hunting. Not for mice or rabbits or any creatures.

Owl went button hunting.

Big buttons, little buttons, plain buttons, fancy buttons,

buttons that had fallen off without anyone noticing

and now were lost buttons. The lost buttons were all very unhappy.

They were lonely without their matching buttons

and missed being useful.

Poor buttons!

So, when Owl found a button,

he would take it home and put it in Pie's useful dish.

There were so many buttons that Pie realised they couldn't all be hers.

So she put them in her shop window with a sign saying, "Lost buttons!"

Everyone who came into and recognised a button got it back.

Lots of lost buttons found their old homes and matching buttons again!

But some were never reclaimed.

Owl could tell they were unhappy not to be useful.

What will she do with all those buttons?

Owl asked Pie to use them all to make him a button coat.

Big buttons, little buttons, plain buttons, fancy buttons -

it was beautiful!

Then, on bright, moonlit nights,

Owl and all the happy buttons would go flying together,

hunting for lost and lonely buttons.

Whenever Owl found a button, he would take it home to Pie.

Some buttons found their old homes

and all of the other buttons were added to Owl's coat

so they could go button hunting too,

flying by moonlight, seeing the world.

The end. Wasn't that a good story?

I liked Owl's coat.
