It's Driver Dan's Story Train!
Hello, Driver Dan!
# Which of our friends Are we going to see?
# Which of our friends Do you think it will be?
# Climb aboard and travel with me
# All aboard the Story Train. #
All aboard the story train!
Twinkle can see one of our Story Train friends.
Can you see who it is?
Look, over there, it's Jelly!
Yes, it's Tallulah's toy.
But there's no-one else there!
Where is everyone?
If Jelly's around, Tallulah can't be far away.
Let's see if we can find her.
Hello, Tallulah, are you looking for Jelly?
Oh, yes! Thank you, Driver Dan. We were out for a walk
and Jelly's string broke again.
-She rolled away!
I'm worried I might lose her forever next time.
Maybe Jelly would like a ride on the Story Train instead of a walk today?
Yes, please, Driver Dan! Jelly would love that!
Twinkle, are we all hooked up and ready to go?
And are you ready too?
Then let's go!
All aboard the Story Train!
I can't see who Twinkle has spotted, can you?
Look, it's a little train!
-And the Vrooms are there.
They're all playing together with the train!
You're right! It IS Bippity and the Vrooms!
Let's go and see them, shall we?
-Hello, you three!
Hello. Bip-bip. Do you like my remote-control train?
It's brilliant, Bippity!
Oh, a remote-control!
That's much better than a piece of string.
Do you think you could make a remote-control for Jelly?
Bip-bip! OK. I'll give it a go!
-Are you sure about this, Tallulah?
Jelly will be much more fun and it may stop me losing her again.
Bippity-bip! Back in a zip!
I can't wait to see the new Jelly!
-Wow! What do you think, Tallulah?
Oh! She looks really...
Yes, I put new wheels on Jelly, too, so she goes faster!
Oh, yes, of course. Thank you, Bippity.
Bip! Do you want to try the remote-control?
This moves Jelly forwards
and this moves her backwards.
Don't worry, Tallulah, try again.
OK, push forward and go!
Bip-bip! That's it, Tallulah!
This is fun!
-Jelly IS going fast!
-Go, Jelly, go!
Ooh, slow down, Tallulah!
Oh, no! Jelly!
-Don't worry, Tallulah, it's not too bad.
Jelly can be mended.
But I don't think I want Jelly to be remote-controlled.
I liked her more before.
Bippity, do you think you can change Jelly back?
Oh, yes, of course!
Thank you, Bippity!
-Bippity-bip! There you are, Tallulah!
I did change one thing, though,
I added a new, stronger, piece of string.
Oh, thank you, Bippity! She's perfect!
-So now you won't lose her on your walks any more!
-No, I won't!
I think Jelly enjoyed riding on the Story Train with you, Driver Dan.
Did she now? Would she like to come with me when we go to Story Corner?
Oh, yes, please!
Come on then, Jelly! Time to go on the Story Train!
We're all hooked up. Twinkle, are we ready to go?
Are you ready too? Then let's go!
All aboard the Story Train!
It's time for a story!
I think it will be about toys.
-Yeah, toy trains.
-Or toy elephants.
Who's ready for a story?
Bip-bip! I am!
Yes, please, Driver Dan!
A-ha! I know just the book.
Is everybody settled and ready to listen?
-And you? Sitting down comfy and ready to listen?
-Ready, Driver Dan.
This story is called Imagine.
It was written by Hani Kichi and the illustrations are by Oussama Mezhar.
It was a stormy afternoon
and Rami peered grumpily out of the window.
"Everything's so boring!", he moaned to his big sister, Rana.
"It's no fun at all! I wish things could be fun all the time!
"If the sun was always shining, then we could play out all day long!
"Yes!," laughed Rana. "It would be great if there was no rain!
"But I'd miss splashing in big, muddy puddles."
Oh, I'd miss puddles, too!
"True," said Rami
"OK, imagine there was no such thing as bedtime.
"We could stay up playing football or watching TV and never go to bed!"
Rana giggled. "That would be fun,
"but we'd end up walking to school with eyes half-closed
"and fall fast asleep at our desks!"
"chickens could fly!", said Rami.
"We could run after them to catch our eggs for breakfast!"
"Ha-ha!," laughed Rana. "It would be a lot of fun,
"but I wouldn't want cracked eggs on my head!"
That would be very messy, Driver Dan!
Very, very messy, Bippity!
"I know", Rami said excitedly.
"Imagine we were allowed to have ice-cream
"for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day!
"Then we could try all the different flavours in the world!"
"Yes", said Rana.
"But imagine the terrible tummy aches we'd have every day."
"Hmmm," said Rami. "Well, imagine...
"We could grow up really fast and do everything that grown-ups do!"
"I like that!" exclaimed Rana.
"We could drive a car and go to work.
"We'd never have to do any homework!
"But wait a minute," she said.
"If we were all grown up, well then.
"We'd never get time to play games like this on a rainy afternoon!"
The children stopped. How terrible!
"I've got it!" smiled Rami.
"Imagine things stay exactly as they are?"
"Yes!" laughed Rana.
"That would be perfect!"
The end. Did you enjoy that story?
Yes! I liked it when they wanted to change things. It was funny!
But you didn't like it when we changed Jelly, did you, Tallulah?
Apart from when you put new string on her.
And now it's your turn.
Come on! It's time to show me the story!
-Oh, no! It's raining again!
-What can we do instead?
We're splashing in the puddles!
Splish, splosh, splash!
-Now we're playing football.
And catching the eggs for breakfast.
Careful! Got one!
We're so tired. We're falling asleep at our desks.
We could eat ice cream.
Look! We're driving cars.
Well done! You were great at showing me the story!
Rami and Rana realised that some things
are just right the way they are.
Yes, they did! Bip-bip!
And I think Jelly is just right the way she is, too.
Thanks for changing her back.
Bippity-bip! That's OK.
Come on, everyone! Let's get back to the Story Train! All aboard!
All aboard the Story Train!
Bye, everyone! It's time to go but let's come back soon,
because we all love stories!
-Bye, Driver Dan!
I like counting stories.
My favourites are adventure stories.
I like stories about pirates. Arrrr!
Fairytale stories are the best!
Driver Dan goes on another exciting journey to Story Corner with a lovable cast of animated friends.
Tallulah loves playing with her favourite toy elephant, Jelly, who she pulls along behind her tail with a piece of string. But sometimes the string comes undone and Tallulah loses Jelly, and worries that she might not find her again. When Tallulah sees Bippity and the Vrooms playing with a remote-controlled toy train, she loves how fast it goes and how it can drive around on its own, so she asks Bippity if he can make Jelly remote controlled too. But when Jelly races around making lots of noise, Tallulah soon begins to miss her old favourite Jelly on a string.
