This story is called, 'Doctor Quack's Quick Quack Clinic'.

Simon Rolph wrote it, and Tanya Hurt Newton did the pictures.

Doctor Quack's quick quack clinic bustled with business.

Patients travelled from far and wide to be seen by the famous doctor.

For Doctor Quack was no ordinary doctor.

"I never use pills for curing ills,"

quacked Doctor Quack.

Instead, she'd reach into her famous medicine chest

for something a little bit different.

Like my toybox!

Yes, Loopy, a bit like your toybox.

When Marmalade Monkey became scared of heights,

Doctor Quack examined her carefully.

"Marmalade," she quacked, "no more tears, you must face your fears."

And she pulled out a ladder for Marmalade to practise climbing on.

Soon, Marmalade was swinging from the trees again.

Good old Doctor Quack.

When Kiara Kangaroo's bounce went flat,

Doctor Quack asked her to do some exercises.

First, Kiara stretched up high, then she touched her toes.

"Hmm," said Doctor Quack seriously.

She reached in to her medicine chest and quacked,

"This should do the trick, practise with this pogo stick."

Before long, Kiara was bouncing on her own again.

Good old Doctor Quack.

Boinging and bouncing, just like you, Loopy.

And when Freddie Fish forgot how to breathe underwater,

Doctor Quack had a long look at him.

Freddie opened his mouth, then he flapped his fins.

"Just as I thought," quacked Doctor Quack,

"Here's what I suggest, give your tired gills a rest."

And Doctor Quack pulled out a snorkel.

In no time, Freddie was zipping round the pond.

Good old Doctor Quack.

Good old Doctor Quack.

But one morning, Doctor Quack got a strange feeling in her throat.

Could it be? Oh, no. Had the famous doctor lost her famous quack?

Oh! Oh, no, poor Doctor Quack!

"Don't worry!" cried Doctor Quack's patients,

"we know exactly what to do."

They hunted through Doctor Quack's medicine chest

until they found what they were looking for.

Honk, honk! "A car horn!" hooted Doctor Quack happily,

"It's perfect, just the thing until my quack comes back."

-Wow!

-What a good story, and a happy ending after all.

-All those patients...

-Looking after their doctor. Aww!

I love the pogo stick cure, bouncy, bouncy, boingy boing!
