# What's that feeling you are feeling?

0:00:020:00:04

# Has it got a name?

0:00:040:00:06

# Cos every day is different

0:00:060:00:08

# And we never feel the same

0:00:080:00:10

# But if we talk about the feelings going on inside

0:00:100:00:14

# We'll be feeling better all the time

0:00:140:00:18

# Feeling better if we say what's on our mind

0:00:190:00:24

# We'll be feeling better all the time

0:00:240:00:27

# We're Radha, Ben and Breagha

0:00:270:00:30

# And we love to talk and play

0:00:300:00:32

# In our home, we share our feelings every single day

0:00:320:00:37

# So we'll be feeling better if we say what's on our mind

# We'll be feeling better all the time. #

0:00:410:00:45

Whee! Ha-ha-ha-ha! Whoo!

0:00:460:00:49

I found my kite, Radha! Ha-ha-ha-ha!

0:00:490:00:52

It's going to be whooshy and windy and whirly and whoo!

0:00:520:00:56

And here comes Breagha with her kite, too. Whee!

0:00:560:01:00

Are you OK?

0:01:020:01:03

Look at my kite!

0:01:030:01:05

I forgot it got broken last time I took it to the park.

0:01:050:01:09

-Oh, I'm sorry, Breagha.

-Oh!

0:01:090:01:11

Can we still go to the park?

0:01:110:01:13

Oh, I don't want to go to the park any more!

0:01:130:01:16

I feel all...all hot and...

0:01:160:01:18

and stompy and... Oh! Argh!

0:01:180:01:22

I think what you're feeling is angry, Breagha.

0:01:220:01:27

Sometimes even little things can make us

0:01:270:01:30

feel like scrunching our mouths up

0:01:300:01:32

and make our faces go red.

0:01:320:01:35

And scream, "Grr"!

0:01:350:01:38

-Argh! Grr!

-Then you know you're feeling angry.

0:01:380:01:42

Oh! I am feeling angry, Radha. Angry because of my kite.

0:01:420:01:46

-Don't worry, Breagha, because we've all felt like that.

-Huh?

0:01:460:01:50

How about you? How are you feeling today?

0:01:500:01:54

I feel confident.

0:01:550:01:57

I feel kind.

0:01:570:02:00

I feel frustrated!

0:02:000:02:03

-BOTH:

-We feel brave.

0:02:030:02:05

I feel shy.

0:02:050:02:07

I feel bored.

0:02:070:02:09

I feel sad.

0:02:090:02:10

HE VOCALISES

0:02:120:02:13

-COMPUTER:

-I feel happy.

0:02:130:02:15

I feel angry.

0:02:150:02:18

-What about you, Ben? Have you ever felt angry?

-Um...

0:02:180:02:21

Oh, yes! The other day, when I went to play at my friend's house.

0:02:210:02:26

We were playing catch and my friend kept throwing the ball too high,

0:02:260:02:30

so I couldn't catch it.

0:02:300:02:33

My friend made me feel all "Grr" towards her.

0:02:330:02:36

-It made you feel angry, too?

-Yes.

0:02:360:02:39

Lots of things can make us feel angry, like your broken kite.

0:02:390:02:43

Let's find out about feelings from our Feelings Friends.

0:02:430:02:46

-BOTH:

-Oh, yes, please!

0:02:460:02:49

-# Everybody's got feelings

-Who-oa

0:02:490:02:52

# And everybody needs a friend that they can tell

0:02:520:02:56

-# We're a mixture of emotions

-Who-oa

0:02:560:02:59

# Could be feeling really good or not so well

0:02:590:03:03

# If you need somebody to tell

0:03:030:03:06

-# Tell your Feelings Friends

-Who-oa

0:03:060:03:10

# It's great to have somebody to tell

0:03:100:03:13

# Tell your Feelings Friends. #

0:03:130:03:15

-BOTH:

-Angry means...

0:03:170:03:19

-Annoyed?

-Very cross.

0:03:190:03:22

Angry means you're getting really mad at something.

0:03:220:03:25

When you're angry, your face goes like this.

0:03:250:03:29

I feel angry when my little sister screams at me.

0:03:290:03:33

When I'm angry, I'm noisy.

0:03:330:03:37

So if you're angry and you want to calm down, sit down...

0:03:370:03:43

-Or take a...

-Take a drink and then probably you'll settle down.

0:03:430:03:50

So when you're angry,

0:03:500:03:52

you could ask your friends for some alone time to calm you down.

0:03:520:03:56

When I'm angry, I try to forget about it and do something else.

0:03:560:04:03

I can't stop thinking about my kite!

0:04:050:04:08

Would it make you feel better if you talked about it?

0:04:080:04:11

Ben and I are here to listen.

0:04:110:04:13

Oh, yes. Hang on.

0:04:130:04:16

Ready.

0:04:160:04:17

Oh, OK, I'll tell you all about it.

0:04:170:04:22

I was at the park with my friends. We were all flying our kites.

0:04:260:04:30

It was a really windy day.

0:04:300:04:32

I wanted my kite to fly the highest,

0:04:350:04:38

so I ran fast to make it go really high up into the sky.

0:04:380:04:42

It went higher and higher and I was thinking so much about

0:04:440:04:48

how high my kite was going to go that I didn't see the tree.

0:04:480:04:52

My kite got all tangled in the branches.

0:04:540:04:56

I tried to get it out, but the more I tugged, the more it tangled.

0:04:560:05:01

Then I tugged really hard and it ripped against the branches

0:05:010:05:06

and fell to the ground.

0:05:060:05:07

I was so hot and stompy.

0:05:090:05:11

I broke my kite!

0:05:110:05:13

I felt so angry.

0:05:130:05:16

When I got home, I stuffed it in my toy box

0:05:160:05:18

because I didn't want to look at it.

0:05:180:05:21

And I forgot all about it, until now.

0:05:210:05:24

-Angry is not a very nice feeling to have, is it?

-No!

0:05:240:05:28

What can we do to get rid of Breagha's angry feelings?

0:05:280:05:32

Why don't we ask our Feelings Friends to help?

0:05:320:05:35

-Oh, yes!

-Oh, great idea, Radha!

0:05:350:05:37

Hello, Lois! Hello, Sia! Come in!

0:05:370:05:39

Thank you for coming today.

0:05:390:05:41

-Hello!

-Hello.

-Hello.

-Hello.

0:05:410:05:45

Breagha has been feeling angry,

0:05:450:05:47

so we want to try and get those angry feelings out.

0:05:470:05:50

Why don't we all bang on some drums?

0:05:500:05:52

-Oh, yes!

-Oh, yes!

0:05:520:05:55

Lois and Sia, I've got this special one for you.

0:05:550:05:58

All nice and shiny.

0:05:580:06:00

There's a spoon there for you.

0:06:000:06:03

-And, Ben, you've got this.

-What? Ooo!

0:06:030:06:06

-Breagha, you've got that lovely red one.

-Oh!

0:06:060:06:09

-Thank you!

-Thank you!

-Ready?

0:06:090:06:12

One, two, three, go!

0:06:120:06:14

THEY BANG

0:06:140:06:16

RADHA LAUGHS

0:06:180:06:21

And stop! THEY LAUGH

0:06:210:06:24

Have your angry feelings gone now?

0:06:240:06:26

A little bit.

0:06:260:06:27

-Mm-hm.

-But I still want to stomp.

0:06:270:06:30

That's a great idea.

0:06:300:06:32

Why don't we all have a go at stomping with our feet?

0:06:320:06:35

-Ready? Go!

-Go!

0:06:350:06:38

And stop!

0:06:450:06:47

THEY LAUGH

0:06:470:06:48

-How are you feeling now?

-I still feel a little bit "Grr".

0:06:480:06:53

OK. Well, I've got an idea.

0:06:530:06:55

Let's all close our eyes, take a deep breath in...

0:06:550:07:00

..and out.

0:07:010:07:03

And then close your eyes and count to three.

0:07:030:07:07

-ALL:

-One, two, three.

0:07:070:07:11

And open your eyes!

0:07:110:07:13

Three! Ha-ha! Hello, everyone!

0:07:130:07:15

-THEY LAUGH

-You're funny.

0:07:150:07:18

Are you not feeling angry any more?

0:07:180:07:20

I feel so much better!

0:07:200:07:23

Telling you all about it and bashing

0:07:230:07:25

and breathing has made the angry feelings go away!

0:07:250:07:28

Thank you, Feeling Friends!

0:07:280:07:30

Thank you, Sia, thank you, Lois, for your help. Bye!

0:07:300:07:34

-Bye!

-Bye!

-Bye!

-Bye!

0:07:340:07:36

I'm sorry if I wasn't very nice when I was angry.

0:07:360:07:40

Oh, that's OK, Breagha. It's OK to feel angry,

0:07:400:07:43

but it's better to try and get all those angry feelings out.

0:07:430:07:47

Everyone feels angry sometimes,

0:07:470:07:49

but it's not always a nice feeling to have.

0:07:490:07:52

Talking helps, but sometimes you just want to stomp.

0:07:520:07:57

THEY LAUGH That's right, Breagha.

0:07:570:08:00

Can you remember what feeling angry is like?

0:08:000:08:03

Sometimes even little things can make us

0:08:070:08:10

feel like scrunching our mouths up.

0:08:100:08:12

And make our faces go red.

0:08:120:08:15

-And scream, "Grr"!

-Argh! Grr!

0:08:170:08:20

Then you know you're feeling angry.

0:08:200:08:22

THEY GIGGLE

0:08:220:08:24

I know a lot about feeling angry now.

0:08:240:08:27

# You're feeling hot and stompy

0:08:310:08:34

# I think you're feeling angry

0:08:340:08:37

# You want to scream and shout and get the feelings out

0:08:370:08:41

# You're feeling angry

0:08:410:08:43

# So angry

0:08:430:08:45

# Sometimes we don't like what people say

0:08:450:08:49

# Sometimes our toys get broken and things get in our way

0:08:510:08:56

# You're feeling hot and stompy

0:09:000:09:03

# I think you're feeling angry

0:09:030:09:06

# You want to bang and bash You want to yell and crash

0:09:060:09:10

# You're feeling angry

0:09:100:09:11

# So angry

0:09:110:09:14

# But sometimes if we take deep breaths

0:09:140:09:18

# And count to three

0:09:180:09:21

# We might stop feeling so angry. #

0:09:210:09:26

How are you feeling now, Breagha?

0:09:290:09:31

I'm feeling much better now, thanks, Radha.

0:09:310:09:34

I'm still a little bit upset my kite is broken,

0:09:340:09:38

but I don't want to shout about it.

0:09:380:09:40

Would you like to go to the park now?

0:09:400:09:43

Yes! But I haven't got a kite.

0:09:430:09:47

Oh! You can share my kite, Breagha. We can play with it together.

0:09:470:09:51

Oh! Thank you, Ben! Let's go!

0:09:510:09:54

Just before go, why don't we say thank you to our Feelings Friends

0:09:540:09:58

for helping you feel better?

0:09:580:10:00

Oh, yes.

0:10:000:10:02

ALL: Thank you!

0:10:020:10:03

Goodbye!

0:10:030:10:04

Goodbye!

0:10:040:10:06

-Bye!

-Bye!

-Bye!

0:10:060:10:08

It's OK to feel angry

0:10:080:10:10

and sometimes it's a way to show others that something is wrong.

0:10:100:10:14

Talking about what's making you feel angry is a good thing.

0:10:140:10:18

And remember to ask other people how they're feeling, too.

0:10:180:10:22

-BOTH:

-That's what friends do.

-That's right.

0:10:220:10:26

So, how are you feeling today?

0:10:260:10:28

# How are you feeling today?

0:10:280:10:31

# Oh, won't you tell me Won't you say?

0:10:310:10:34

# Are you happy, are you sad?

0:10:340:10:36

# Are you nervous or frustrated?

0:10:360:10:38

# Jealous, kind or confident?

0:10:380:10:40

# Sorry or excited?

0:10:400:10:42

# How are you feeling today?

0:10:420:10:45

# Oh, won't you tell me? Won't you say?

0:10:450:10:48

# What's on your mind?

0:10:480:10:51

# I've got time to listen

0:10:510:10:53

# So won't you say

0:10:530:10:56

# How you are feeling today? #

0:10:560:10:59

Breagha is feeling angry because she broke her kite and forgot all about it until today. Radha and Ben help Breagha to talk about why she feels angry and what she can do to feel better. Their feelings friends also join in to help Breagha get all her angry feelings out by banging drums and stomping!
