It's team talk time.

Today we're going to be looking at shooting and scoring.

So when on the football pitch might you need to shoot the ball?

-Fisa?

-When you're near the goal.

-When you're taking a free kick.

-When the ball is on the penalty spot.

-Fantastic.

There are lots of times in a match you might need to shoot the ball.

Imagine if we're in the FA Cup Final, it's 0-0 after extra time

and we've all got to take a penalty.

Oh, scary!

There are three main things we need to remember

when we're shooting the ball.

We need to look at the ball, we need to look at where we want

the ball to go and then we need to strike the ball.

Can you do it with me? ALL: Yeah!

In pairs you need to kick the ball back and forth.

The only rules are,

you need to shoot the ball through the cones with one big kick.

Whilst these guys keep practising, here's a reminder for you at home.

First, you need to look at the ball,

look where you want it to go

and strike the ball with your foot.

OK, guys, I've lined you all up and we're going

to practise our shooting.

You're going to take a shot from the penalty spot.

There's a couple of tips I want you to remember. Shoot for the corners

of the goal and you can also trick me by looking one way

and shooting the ball the other. Are you ready? ALL: Yeah!

I've never been good at taking penalties.

If we lose to the Skunks today,

Freddie will have to give away the penalty shoot-out trophy.

The rules are simple. Each team takes it in turns to try and score a goal.

The team who gets the most goals wins this beautiful trophy.

So with the shoot out underway,

Pickles is in goal as Skunkthorpe take their first penalty.

It's a goal for Skunkthorpe.

Let's hope Benny can score his penalty too.

And he pretends to go left but then shoots to the right!

Oh, no! Skunkthorpe saved the goal,

which means they're winning 1-0.

Now for Skunkthorpe's second penalty.

So I've split you up into two teams.

We've got the Reds - Reds, give me a cheer.

Let's take a look with the Footy Pups to find out how to play.

To play this game you need to give your best shots.

Each team needs to stand in front of the goal that has

holes in the corners.

One by one, grab a ball and place it on the penalty spot.

If you get the ball through the lower holes, you get one point,

if you get it through the higher ones, your team will get two points.

The winners will be the team who've scored the most points

when the final whistle blows.

I haven't seen penalties like this in a long time.
