Today we're going to be looking at honesty.

Who knows what being honest is?

-Freya?

-Telling the truth.

-You're absolutely right.

Honesty is really important, on or off the football pitch.

There are three things you need to remember

when thinking about being honest. You need to be fair to each other,

you need to be respectful and we need to be trustworthy.

Now, I know a story about a young pup who cried wolf.

He would keep telling fibs and wasn't honest to his friends,

-who ended up not trusting him.

-Rachel! Rachel! Quick!

There's a football-eating octopus coming.

CHILDREN SCREAM Uh-oh.

Hang on a minute. Benny, there's no octopus. Guys, come back over.

So, it's really important to be honest so that people trust you.

Rachel, quick! There's an alien coming to zap up all the footballs!

-When we're being honest, we have to respect each other.

Now you know what it means to be honest, I'm going to challenge you.

I'll ask a question, then I'll give you two answers.

If you think the first answer is right, run to the pink area.

If you think the second answer is right, run to the orange.

Your team scores a goal and everyone thinks you've scored it,

but you know it was your friend. What should you do?

If you think you should tell everybody you scored the goal

then run to the pink area.

If you think you should tell everybody

If you know that it wasn't really you that scored the goal,

the honest thing to do is to say so.

OK, question two. In this one, you're a referee.

A striker is dribbling with the ball and a defender comes along

and trips him up. What should you do?

If you think you should blow your whistle and give a free kick,

run to the pink area.

If you think you should just ignore it, run to the orange.

-before those super fussy lambs arrive.
