TV in 2013 has already got off to a flying start

with CBBC leading the way.

Earlier today we saw the premiere of The Dumping Ground.

That's the spin-off series from Tracy Beaker Returns.

But guys, don't worry, Dani Harmer will be returning to your screens

in brand new Dani's Castle. If that wasn't enough,

we can look forward to brand new Wolfblood

and brand new Friday Download.

Here's a little secret - I am a massive fan of the show

and I was lucky enough to go and meet the creators.

It was a dream come true. Here's how I got on.

meet the creators of one of my favourite cartoons, Phineas and Ferb.

Why did you make him a platypus?

I was trying to draw a dog, and I was just really bad at it.

Swampy was like, "It looks like a platypus! What's wrong with you?"

-We wanted to save the drawing.

Nobody really had much of a pre-conceived notion.

You don't know what it sounds like, you don't know what they do,

so we could just make stuff up.

Now, the First Lady of America, Michelle Obama,

is a fan of the show, and has even done the Platypus Walk.

in Monsters University,

and X Factor judge Gary Barlow as a singing Postman Pat

in the character's first movie outing.

Captain Kirk and his Enterprise crew return, back in

Star Trek Into Darkness, which I'm very excited for.

And one I cannot wait for is my main man -

Johnny Depp is back in action later this year

as Tonto in The Lone Ranger, based on the American Wild West character

of the same name. So, we have loads to look forward to,

and that's not everything - take a look at this!

Disney's highly-anticipated Wreck-It Ralph will be

hitting your screens next month. Video game villain Ralph

wants to be a hero...

Sure must be nice being the good guy.

..and sets out to fulfil his dream. Jumping into another computer,

he brings havoc to the whole arcade.

My favourite thing about this movie has to be the fact that it stars

-We were messing around with some ideas

in the studio, then obviously we called it Intro Intro in the end.

I was like, well, it's the first track I did as a solo artist,

So, you used to be in Soundgirl. You actually came on this show

on the first series, which was so cool - but how come you

-ventured out of it?

-We were really enjoying ourselves,

but it wasn't what any of us wanted to do, so we decided

to do our own music, but stay mates. We spent a lot of time together.

Do you prefer being a solo artist or in a group?

I prefer being solo, especially on stage, I've got so much more...

on TV at the moment - besides Friday Download, of course.

It's House Of Anubis and we've got exclusive behind-the-scenes access,

so I'm going to go and take a snoop around. Come on, follow me.

Right, now, this is Burkley's bedroom.

As you can see, it's got all the stuff he loves.

It's like a normal boy's bedroom, but there's no ceilings.

This is Corbiere, Victor's bird,

who he talks to a lot throughout the filming.

Right, we're off to meet Brad who plays Fabian

and I'm going to go and talk to him in his trailer.

Hey, man. How are you doing?

For someone who doesn't watch House Of Anubis,

could you some it up for me in ten seconds. Go!

House Of Anubis is about eight kids who live in a boarding school

surrounded by mystery and intrigue to do with the teachers

who are involved in Egyptian mythology.

This year we have an entirely new set

that is so tied into the storyline. Everything happens there.

We find out, yet again,

there's always a trap door that leads somewhere.

Now that Nina's gone, your character's a bit of a love interest.

Hello, everyone and welcome to the first games download of 2013.

Now, it's set to be a fantastic year for games and gadgets

and there's all kinds of rumours flying about

as to what we're going to see.

Now, with this Christmas we had the amazing Nintendo's Wii U.

And what's exciting me now is thinking about the new

PlayStations and Xboxes that might be coming out.

Now, rumour has it they should hopefully be coming out

next Christmas, but it's all very secretive at the moment

and no-one at all outside the offices

of the official companies has seen them.

It's so top secret they even have to, like, talk in codenames about them.

If you hear anyone talking about the new Thebes, that could be the PS4,

-and then the Kryptos is the new Xbox.

-The what?

-The Kryptos.

Game-wise this year, I'm really looking forward

to Lego City Undercover, which is a new game in the Lego series.

You basically play as this undercover cop going around a massive city

trying to solve all sorts of crimes and stuff.

Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time looks like it's going to be

-an awesome game and also Wreck-It Ralph.

-Wreck-It Ralph?

It's a computer game that's a movie

that's going to be in a computer game.

Exactly, so as you can see, we've just made it crystal clear for you

there, so there's no room for confusion.

So, yes it's going to be a fantastically exciting year

and we've also managed to get

some really cool previews in the studio today.

That's why you are the gadget man.

That is, but you won't be seeing it for a little while

-cos it's not out till March.

-My birthday's in March.

Yes. Now I don't need to think about what to get you.

Anyway, so basically, it's Rayman Legends on the Wii U

so I'm going to be on the game pad.

If you guys would like to get up on the controllers,

we're going to start playing and then we'll talk you through it.

Hang on, now, three of us are about to play one game?

You couldn't do this before, and now you can actually play

with up to five people at one time.

So what's happening is you guys are going to navigate through the level.

On here, I'm going to help you round obstacles and stuff, yeah?

-You can do it with your hand.

I'm just, kind of, helping you guys along

and just making sure your path to safety is safe.

What happens is, you're basically roaming through the woods one day

and you come across this magical tent,

and in the tent there's these magical paintings and the magical paintings,

you dive into them and you uncover all these wonderful stories.

Tyger, I'm not going to lie to you - I'm actually having a lot of fun.

I am really in this. I'm really enjoying it.

In other levels there's more that I have to do.

Sometimes I have to rearrange the landscape for you guys.

So basically you all have stuff to do in that?

We definitely will have stuff to do. But, yeah, it's a just...

I think it looks really nice and it's really cool.

-It's a very calming.

-It is, isn't it?

-I like the green.

-Go back a second.

-Yeah.

Whoever's at the back go back.

-Now go towards these little rooty things. On the floor.

-Why?

And if you go towards them

you can see that I'm actually saving you if you go near it.

-It is such a good game.

It is, but the only thing I can think of when I was playing it is

it's one of those games, you know, when you find a level you just

get stuck on and it's one of those ones that just takes a while.

Gets really frustrating.

You keep going back and back and back when you can't do it

and you have to go through the whole level again

and it gets quite repetitive and really frustrating.

But Rayman's back, which is what's cool. I used to play Rayman, PS2.

So now, being the gadget man that I am, we have actually managed

to get a completely insanely cool world exclusive...

-World?

-World exclusive... APPLAUSE

..which means that this is literally -

we are literally - other than the people outside of Sony's offices,

-the first people to have experienced this.

-When's it due out?

The game is not due out till sometime later in the year,

probably towards the latter of the year,

The game we're playing is Diggs Nightcrawler

and it's the newest game that is in production for the Wonderbook.

Basically, if you'd like to pop it on the floor and just open it...

And then he's trying to solve the mystery

of who pushed Humpty off the wall,

so what we're going to go through is

What's going to happen now, Ceall,

You are going to want to get in the way of it

so you can chuck it behind at them.

-Yes, OK, cool.

of the boot of the van and so you literally just go...

And cos it's on one page and it tilts up

everything falls out on to the other side.

I was just like, "I'm going to have a look round that corner."

Isn't it awesome? So that was Digg's Nightcrawler,

but obviously it is a work in progress

so we can't give it a completely proper, good, thorough review,

but now it is time for Tyger Vs.

If you was watching 2012 download on Monday you would have seen me

checking out a new sport - handball -

with the under-17's player Tyler.

So I said to Tyler, "It's your turn to learn something new now,"

shall we check him out? Trampolining?

Hey, everyone. I'm Tyler.

You might have seen me on a previous weekend download

teaching Richard how to play handball.

Now it's my turn to learn a new sport,

so why don't you come on and follow me inside?

I'm Sophie, I'm 19 and I'm British champion at trampolining.

I'm Penny Mitchell. I'm 21 years old.

I've been doing trampolining for about 11 years now.

I just got the bug for it straightaway.

My overall goal is the Olympics. I'll give it my best shot.

Anybody comes. We have adult classes, beginner's classes,

advanced classes - everything.

I've never met anybody that really doesn't like it.

-Hey, Penny, nice to meet you.

-Hi, Tyler. Nice to meet you.

OK, so, trampolining. Looking at you guys, I'm a bit nervous right now.

Don't be nervous. We're going to get you on the trampoline

doing some moves. It'll be really good fun.

So you are going to teach me trampolining in one day?

Yeah, we'll get you doing something in a day easy.

Let's get you in a tracksuit and we'll get going.

So, Tyler, we've just brought in Soph here

to help us out with this bit.

We're just good to start off with some jumping -

first things first, jumping and stopping.

-So obviously try and stay in the middle and eyes towards the end.

-OK.

So start jumping.

That's it. If you want to use your arms, swing them round this way.

Backwards, that's it, right up to your ears. Good. And then stop.

All you're going to do is bend your knees,

keep looking at the end, arms out, nice and strong.

-Just like that.

-Perfect. Well done.

So now we are going to try a seat drop, OK?

So all you're going to do is a little bounce, jump,

seat landing and stand back up again.

Brilliant. Let's get you on something a bit more difficult.

-I'm going to teach you what's called a swivel hips.

-OK.

This is basically a seat drop, half twist, to seat drop. OK?

So, to learn that, we're going to first do

-seat drop, half twist to feet.

-OK.

Good. Easy. Well done.

Now, I think you are ready to try something a little bit harder,

-so how do you feel about trying a flip?

-Huh?

-Yeah, a flip.

It's not quite as hard as it sounds. We've got a great machine

that's going to help you do that, so come this way.

We're going to get you strapped into here first of all.

-Are you sure this is secure?

-Definitely secure.

You're not going to go anywhere once you're strapped into this.

-Does that feel nice and tight?

-Yeah.

-Good. OK.

So if you'd like to start jumping for me.

That's it, push nice and hard.

Good.

-How does it feel up there?

-Tight.

-OK, so the next thing, is

we're going to try and get you to do a flip.

I'm going to count you in, one, two, three.

On three, push your hips slightly forward

and tuck in as hard as you can and you'll go over backwards.

-OK.

-OK, so start pushing really hard for me.

That's it. One...

two... Hips forward, tuck your knees in.

-Yeah, good.

-Yeah!

Well done, Tyler. Awesome work.

So how do feel about trying some of this outside of the harness?

-Um...

-It's fun, we'll take you through everything.

Let's get you out the harness and on to some crash mats.

OK, Tyler. So why don't you show me what you've learned today?

-OK, so how do I do a front flip?

-A front flip?

OK, so you should only ever try things with the right safety

and now we've got a big mat. First of all, to go into the mat,

it's obviously different from everything else,

so rather than jumping up and down on the spot, you go forwards.

So why don't you try jumping into the pit and seeing how it feels?

OK, so where do I go from there?

You're going to jump towards the pit,

travel like you've just learned, hips over your head

-and land flat on your back.

-OK.

Well done, Tyler. So now what you're going to do is speed it up

so that you land on your feet.

You're going to do a bigger push, tuck in nice and tight,

look for the floor and put your feet down.

Yeah, I can do that. All right.

Want to learn how to trampoline in three easy steps? Then listen up.

Step one - the seat landing.

Practice bouncing straight up and down to get used to the feeling.

Make sure you keep your legs straight at all times.

Then reach high, tilt your pelvis upwards slightly

and bring your hands down

to your side as you drop back down.

Repeat until it seems natural.

Step two - flips. For this you need a bungee ring at your local centre.

Whilst on the bungee, practice bouncing until you feel comfortable

and then tuck your legs up,

lean back and fully rotate over. To do a forward flip,

you have to first become comfortable at travelling.

Then it's a simple case of leaning forward,

flipping your legs over until you land safely on your bum.

Always with an instructor watching, of course.

Step three - safety. Never do any of the big tricks at home.

Make sure you're always at a centre, supervised.

So get down your local leisure centre and get bouncing.

So I think it's fair to say, put me on a handball court

and I know what I'm doing, but when it comes to trampolining

I still think I've got a little bit left to learn.
