Hello!

..who went to join the circus.

He couldn't wait to put on a show in the Big Top.

He just wasn't sure what a performing octopus would be best at,

so he asked an...

ostrich.

The ostrich was an acrobat and brilliant at circus skills.

I'll show you the ropes.

With the ostrich's help the octopus tried all manner of things.

The trapeze.

Whee! Ha-ha!

But he got his tentacles in a tangle.

Oh! Oh! Ohh!

The tightrope.

Ta-dah!

But he was too wobbly to balance.

Ooh! Oh! Argh!

He even tried to unicycle.

Oooh!

But it was very tricky with eight legs.

The poor octopus couldn't do any circus trick,

so he went in search of a costume that might help him.

Only one fitted.

It was bright and stripy

and came with giant shoes!

He went to show ostrich, who was munching on her fruity lunch.

Oh, Octopus, you look very funny!

You may not be good at the trapeze, tightrope or unicycle,

-but you'll make the perfect clown.

-Ooh!

The octopus like the idea of being a clown,

but there was one problem.

Ah! I haven't got a big red nose!

You don't need a red nose. I've got a perfect thing.

With that the ostrich found

an orange!

And placed it on the octopus' nose.

Ha-ha! Perfect!

And so the octopus with his stripy legs,

giant shoes and orange nose,

became the funniest clown in the circus.

Ha-ha!
