Hello, everyone, Squiglet here!

I like flying around flowers,

but I'm not a butterfly or a bee.

I am small, though!

And magic!

I'm a fairy!

Shall we squiggle our own fairy?

What sort of line could we use?

Let's have a look.

BOING!

It's a wavy line!

Have you got your Squiggle Pads?

And Squiggle Sticks ready?

Now it's time to get squiggling!

Let's start with our fairy's hair.

We'll need a wavy line for that.

Squiggle one with me.

Put your Squiggle Stick on your Squiggle Pad.

Go up and down,

up and down.

Up and down.

That's my wavy line!

What's yours like?

Up and down,

up and down.

Up and down.

Now, the same on the other side.

Let's draw a circle for our fairy's face.

With eyes.

Nose.

Mouth.

And ears.

We'll need straight lines for the sides of her dress.

And another wavy line at the bottom.

Two arms.

One.

Two!

Two legs.

One.

Two.

And fairy wings.

And, last of all, every fairy needs a wand.

There.

Beautiful! Shall we meet her?

I'm a flower fairy.

It must be lovely to be a flower fairy.

Yes, most of the time.

But right now...I've got a little problem.

Oh, dear, I haven't got time to explain,

I'm late for flower fairy school.

Don't worry, we can squiggle flower fairy school for you.

Let's get squiggling!

What do you think flower fairy school would look like?

Let's use our wavy line again - to squiggle a flower.

Ready?

There, that's the top of our flower.

Now, two curved lines at each side.

One.

Two.

A straight line for the stalk.

And two leaves.

One.

Two.

That's a lovely flower!

You can colour yours in

while I squiggle the rest of the fairy school.

I'll do some more flowers,

and some trees.

Right everyone, it's magic class today.

Violet, why don't you show us some flower fairy magic?

Come on, magic, don't be lazy,

let us have a gorgeous daisy!

ALL: Yay!

Now, your turn, Bramble.

This is exciting!

let us have a big snowdrop!

Brilliant! I wasn't expecting a Wellington boot!

It was supposed to be a flower!

But I can't get through a spell without sneezing,

and then all these odd things appear.

It's a very nice Wellington boot...

Oh, Fiona! You can't keep cluttering up school with these giant...things.

-You'll have to go home until your sneezes stop.

-Oh...OK.

I'll come with you, Fiona.

Do you really live in a flower, Fiona?

Yes, all flower fairies do.

But I'm never going to be a proper flower fairy if I keep sneezing

and can't do magic like the others.

So that happens every time you try to do magic?

A-A-A-Achoo!

Oh, dear. Well, maybe all you need is a handkerchief,

we can squiggle one for you.

Have you got your Squiggle Pads and Squiggle Sticks ready?

Let's get squiggling!

We need four wavy lines for our handkerchief.

Squiggle them with me.

Wavy line across.

Down.

Across.

And up.

A lovely handkerchief for a flower fairy.

Let's add a heart-shape in the middle -

to make it a little bit special.

You can add any colours or patterns you like.

I'm going to make my handkerchief green and red.

There.

Oh!

Thanks everyone... A-a-a-achoo!

It may not have stopped your sneezes,

but at least nothing strange has appeared.

No, but WHY am I sneezing?

I haven't got a cold.

Let's see if we can get a clue from the Squiggle Pad.

I wonder what they're doing?

They're scrunching.

Rolling.

And sticking!

They're making paper flowers!

Into the vase they go.

Don't they look pretty?

Those paper flowers looked beautiful in that lovely vase.

And because they're paper, they won't make you sneeze!

Why don't you try and magic some up?

Oh... Well, I suppose it's worth a try.

Come on, magic, use your powers to make me lots of paper flowers!

You're very good at magic now!

And you're not sneezing, Fiona!

Yes!

But I haven't got anything to put my flowers in.

Well, we can squiggle you a vase.

Have you got your Squiggle Pads and Squiggle Sticks ready?

Let's get squiggling!

Let's all squiggle a vase.

We'll use our wavy line again - for the top of the vase.

Ready?

Up and down,

up, down,

all the way across.

We can use some straight lines for the sides.

Down.

Down.

And across for the bottom of the vase.

There.

You can use another wavy line to make a pattern on it if you like.

I'm going to colour mine in orange.

What colour are you going to make yours?

fill the vase with my paper flowers!
