Hi, Lily-Rose.

Hello. I'm Lily-Rose. Welcome to my garden.

Look at all of these beautiful flowers.

But there are still lots of things to do. Come on!

This is Harry, and this is his garden, really,

but I come here to help him with his jobs.

-Lily-Rose, can you come and help me put this up?

-Sure.

So, what are we doing today, Harry?

We're cutting off all the deadheads.

-Why?

-Because then more flowers like these come up

and then we get flowers for longer.

Wow, that's very clever.

-Here are some scissors.

-You should cut off all of these star-shaped ones.

-Because they've got seeds inside them.

-OK.

-Here's a pot to put all the star-shaped ones in.

What sort of flowers are they?

These are petunias, but you can do this with all sorts of flowers.

This one's just about to open, so be careful not to chop it off.

-I think they're so beautiful.

-So do I.

Snip, snip, snippety-snip.

Done lots.

-Is this a seed, Harry?

-That's a seed case.

-The seeds are inside.

-Wow. They're like little balls, aren't they?

-Yeah.

-Can I plant some?

-You have to save them until spring.

Then you can plant them.

I'll go and get something to put them in.

-You keep on cutting.

-OK.

Ew, these are so sticky. Ugh!

I've found some envelopes.

Let's put the petunia seeds in here.

OK.

All done.

-Put them in a nice dry place until spring, then plant them.

-OK.

I'm going to go find some more flowers.

Wow. These are called marigolds and they're yellow, like a sunflower.

And this one.

This one has lots of seeds if I can get it... There.

I'm going to have loads of marigolds.

Wow! Look how much Jelly's garden's grown!

I'm going to get some seeds so I can have some nasturtiums.

Here they are. They look like little pumpkins.

In it goes.

There. Now I'm going to have lots of nasturtiums, too!

Wow, look at the beans we grow in the balloon. This one's dried up.

It feels like paper, and the beans are seeds, as well. I can feel them.

We have one...two...three!

Let's look inside.

I'll snip this off.

Now... Wow!

Here's one of the kidney beans.

-Harry, look how much seeds I've found!

-Wow.

-Will you write the names on them, please?

Oh, yes, it's a sycamore seed. And look, they fly like helicopters.

Oh, yes, Skipper, it's the Eco-Warriors. They're a nature group

who film wildlife at their school. Let's see what they're doing.

We've mainy different types of fruit in our nature reserve.

There are raspberries but they're not fully ripe, yet.

-James has found one.

They will be ripe in late summer.

Just like blackberries.

This is our plum tree.

Fruits and vegetables, and most plants, need light,

and water, to survive.

I'm watering the plants.

It's important to water them daily, especially in hot weather like this.

It's important to rake, as otherwise the soil will dry out.

If there's no soil, there's no plant.

This plant is called lemon balm.

It smells a lot like lemon.

These plates are made from the old swimming pool we used to have.

It's now been refurbished.

This is our butterfly and bee garden.

Bees make honey for their food out of nectar from flowers.

This is the plant the bees love most.

As you see, there are lots and lots of bees around here.

They love these plants, called lemon balm.

I showed you them earlier.

We often get flying visitors, and most of them are butterflies.

We have a board - these are just some of the butterflies you see.

This butterfly is called a speckled wood. It's quite small.

As you can see, it's got little spots on it.

They're otherwise called speckles.

Hi, I'm Ant and I'm looking for creatures that make you squirm!

I'm going on a bug hunt. Do you want to come with me?

I thought you'd be the perfect person to help me. Can you show me?

These are millipedes, and even though they make me squirm,

I'm still gonna hold it. Bradley, I don't think yours wants to move.

-It's starting to wake up now!

-because they've got millions of legs?

-Probably!

I wonder if the tentacles help him find his way.

They move in waves.

Their body is split into lots and lots of segments.

I don't really like the millipedes - they make me squirm!

It's time to make a Bug File!

of 1/5, because they weren't really scary, they were just tickly.

They're really difficult to see because they look just like leaves.

These are called leaf insects, and they really look like leaves!

I can't believe how much it looks like a leaf!

They're really good at disguising themselves, aren't they?

If it stayed really still, I'd just think it was a leaf!

It even looks like a leaf because it's got veins like a leaf.

Curled in her basket, Skipper is dreaming.

She's dreaming of baking savannah, today.

Then, in a twinkle, with a wag of her tail,

she's off on adventures, in lands far, far away.

Ah, look, elephants!

And lions!

This place looks fun. And very beautiful.

Skipper's in Africa, where loads of big animals live on the plains.

Oh, look, there's a river. Let's follow it.

What's down there amongst all that green?

Is it a whale? Barking bones, it's a hippo!

Wearing a funny hat!

A leafy hat! Haha!

Oh, look, it's going under the water.

How graceful this hippo is.

It looks like it's spacewalking on the moon.

It must be nice swimming in that lovely cool water.

Up here, it's really hot! Phew!

In fact, the sun is so hot, it's drying up all the water.

And there's not much space left for the hippos.

It's a bit crowded!

Oh, no! Look! There's a fight breaking out!

What a lot of splashing,

and what big teeth!

Think I'd better get out of the way.

It's getting a bit dangerous, and I'm getting wet.

I hope it rains soon, so there's more water for all the animals.

DEEP RUMBLE

Barking bones! Was that my tummy rumbling?!

No, Skipper, that loud noise is thunder!

-It looks like there's going to be a rainstorm.

-Oh, hurray!

It's raining, and the hippos are happy again!

I like the rain too. Ruff-ruff!

HIPPO LAUGHS

The adventure is over. Skipper's back in her bed

with visions of hippos going round in her head.

They'll never believe the things I have seen!

Did it really happen, or was it a dream?

What an amazing adventure, Skipper.

But I think it's time for us to go now. Don't worry,

there's time for one more thing...
