There are so many jobs to do in my garden.

This is one of them. Raking the leaves. There are so many of them.

I know, I'll do this later.

Today we're visiting our granny...

DOORBELL RINGS

..and her garden.

There are lots of pretty flowers.

This is lavender.

If you rub it against your fingers, it smells really nice.

Mm.

I always check the strawberry plant. This one's nearly ready,

but these ones aren't.

Roses are my favourite flowers.

-There's one over there.

-And there's loads there.

-Oh, yeah.

-There's some bugs on this one.

-Yeah.

-There's one there.

-It hasn't really opened up like this one.

-No, it hasn't.

-Look at those really bright red ones over there.

-Oh, yeah.

-It's like a shower.

-It makes it snowy.

We help Granny by watering the garden for her.

I planted four sunflowers.

I wonder how big they're going to get.

I think it's going to grow this tall.

Sh! We're spotting birds.

Look, there's one.

I think it's a blue tit.

Who's that peeping out at me?

A big bushy tail poking out of the tree!

Two little ears and black button eyes.

Here he comes! A squirrel surprise!

Hello, cheeky squirrel. How do you do?

You're very lovely. I shall call you Boo.

Look, he's hanging upside down.

He looks so handsome in his golden-red gown.

With his fluffy tummy of bright white,

we're so lucky - red squirrels are a rare sight.

There are lots more grey ones, which is a pity,

I like Boo, he's so pretty.

Look at him jumping in the tree,

using his tail to balance. Can you see?

He's so clever, aren't you, Boo?

Oh, what is he up to?

He can open the box and get out the seeds.

He looks like he's having a good feed.

Time to say goodbye. Bye-bye, Boo.

We are very lucky to have met you.

This is Nutty the squirrel, new to my garden,

and he's amazing, aren't you, Nutty?

I have no idea where to put him. I'll decide.

I've got lots of other animals, like this one, here.

There are two. They're cats.

And my duck,

and my ladybird,

and a snail,

and Jelly's hedgehog.

I'm looking after Jelly's garden. That reminds me!

I'm in Wales. This is my friend Toby.

-Hello, Toby. I'm excited because we're going underground.

-But it might be dark and scary.

It won't be scary but it might be dark.

-Luckily we have our lanterns.

-The caves are really beautiful, aren't they?

-We're inside a mountain, aren't we?

-Do you know how long they've been here?

-300 million years.

300 million years?!

That is older than me! Is it older than you?

-Yes.

-How old are you?

-Oh, I'm three. Mm.

-The cave is definitely older than us.

Do you know my favourite bit?

The bit on the ceiling where it hangs down.

-They're called stalactites.

-Stalactites.

They take a long time to grow.

About 1,000 years.

-1,000 years?!

-Yeah.

That is a very long time.

-They grow because the water drips from the ceiling, doesn't it?

-Yes.

-Jelly, I've got a good game for you.

-OK.

It's called It's Dark In Here.

It is dark, isn't it? OK.

-You have to try to guess my shadow.

-OK.

Oh, the shadow on the wall. I see, OK. All right, then.

Oh! Oh! I know! I know what it is!

I loved it when we went to the Isle of Arran. It was amazing.

There's lots of amazing stuff.

But you don't have to go a long way to see lots of wildlife.

It's right on your doorstep.

We've got some club members at their local city farm.

They're young farmers for the day. Let's see what they're doing. Hi!

I'm Elsie.

Today we came to help out at our local city farm.

Look at all the animals.

There are cows...

..donkeys...

..pigs...

..and lots more.

Today we're going to help milk the goats.

-This is Claire, she's going to show us what to do.

-Hello.

This is Ruth. She's 11 years old.

She feels very soft.

Her feet are called hooves.

She's very friendly.

These are called her udders.

Now we're going to milk the goat. We need to get a bucket, OK?

Put the bucket under nice and quietly.

I just get the udder.

I've got to hold it nice and tight and squeeze. See that?

-Does it hurt her?

-It doesn't hurt her, no.

-Who would like to have a go?

-Me!

-Me!

Shall we have a go first? Yeah? OK, stand here for me.

That's it, stand like that. Give it a squeeze.

Squeeze.

Big squeeze.

I'm milking a goat.

There we go. Do you want to have a go? Yeah?

It feels soft.

I can smell it.

When Ruth is being milked, she's given treats.

Really smooth.

The milk is warm. It went on my hand.

Make sure you get it in the bucket.

That's lots of milk!

It feels cold and soft.

We've had a lovely time at the farm with Ruth.

Hi, I'm Ant and I'm looking for creatures that make you squirm!

I'm going on a bug hunt. Do you want to come with me?

Today my bug hunt's a bit unusual

because Kim's challenged me to put my hand in some feely boxes.

Maybe I'll find something that makes me squirm.

Right, Ant. Put your blindfold on and no peeping.

Here goes!

Right, just in that little hole down there.

Er...

It feels really weird.

Any idea what it might be?

-Is it a feather?

-Well done. It's a parrot feather.

Parrots have colourful feathers, don't they?

-Are you ready for the next feely box?

-Yeah.

-OK.

Here goes.

Right, put your hand up again. Put your hand in there.

Ooh, this feels really soft.

That's right, it's really soft.

It's like hair.

A type of hair. That's right. You're close.

-Is it...wool?

-That's right.

-It's llama wool. It's quite soft, isn't it?

-Yeah.

Right, Ant, you've got to be really brave for this one.

Er...I'm a bit nervous now.

Oh, this is really weird.

Eurgh, it smells!

-ANT GASPS

-Ohh!

Put your hand in and grab a handful if you want. That might help.

-They're really wiggly.

-They are. Can you tell me what they might be?

-Are they mealworms?

-That's right. They are mealworms.

Would you like to look?

-There you go. Well done, Ant.

-Eurgh.

-Do you know what eat mealworms?

-Do meerkats eat mealworms?

-That's right. Would you like to come and help me feed them?

-Yes, please!

-Meerkats have cute, cheeky faces.

-They do. They're very cute.

I've never been this close to a meerkat before. Can I feed it?

-Yeah, shall I feed him first?

-Yeah.

-Stumpy! There you go. You have a go.

Stumpy!

There we go. Well done.

-I think Stumpy's very hungry.

-He's really hungry.

Is he good as a cuddly pet?

No. They take a lot of looking after.

They need the right environment and room to play.

It's weird feeding meerkats insects because I really like insects.

But I suppose they'd eat this in the wild, so it's all right.

I think he likes your T-shirt, Ant.

I think he wants a kiss.

I think you've made a nice new friend.

Oh, look, he's sunbathing on my knee.

-I think he really likes me.

-He does, yeah.

Thanks for letting me feed him. It's been great.

-I've never fed a meerkat before.

Ooh, the meerkat fell off.

Curled in her basket, Skipper is dreaming.

She's dreaming of ice and cold water today.

Then, in a twinkle and a wag of her tail,

she's off on adventures in lands far, far away.

Wow! It's so beautiful here.

And what funny shapes!

That one looks like a bridge.

Skipper has found herself in an amazing place called Antarctica.

Brr, it's a bit cold here!

Look! Even the sea is freezing!

I wonder who could live here. It seems far too cold for anyone.

Barking bones! What are those?

Frogs?

Kangaroos?

No! Look! They're penguins!

And they're flying out of the water.

Lots of them!

Wait for me!

Look! More penguins! What busy animals.

Where are we going, then?

Whoa! Whoops-a-daisies! Wha-hey!

It's hard work climbing up here.

This ice is VERY slippy.

Where can they be going?

Oh, look! There are loads of them!

Skipper's in the middle of a penguin colony.

PENGUINS CALL

What a lot of squabbling!

And what a noise!

I can't believe that one's sleeping! Hang on, it's got eggs!

Ooh, wake up, mummy penguin! It looks like they're hatching.

Yes, look!

Beautiful little penguin chicks!

Aw, sweet!

Now the adult penguins have to go and find food for the chicks.

Here we go again!

Oh, no! Not that slippery slope!

Whoa!

Whoa-a-a-a!

Oops-a-daisies!

Wha-a-a-a!

These penguins are amazing swimmers

but it's a bit cold in this water for me!

I think it was time I was going home to my nice warm basket.

Ahh!

The adventure is over. Skipper's back in her bed,

with visions of penguins swimming round in her head.

They'll never believe the things I have seen.

Did it really happen? Or was it a dream?

I'd love to meet a penguin, like Skipper did.

Sliding down those slippery slopes must be really fun.

It's nearly time to go but there's always time for one more thing.
