-Today, we are going to cook fruity filo parcels. Look at this.

Mmm!

I can't wait to eat those, but before we cook them,

we need to do something. What do you think it is?

-Wash our hands.

Let's get started on these fruity filo parcels.

First, we need Mr Teaspoon. He's right here.

Hello, Mr Teaspoon.

'Oh, hello, Katy. Are we going to do some measuring today?'

Indeed we are. We need your help.

How many teaspoonfuls do we need?

We need two teaspoonfuls of this mixed fruit down here.

One...

The next thing we need is Mr Tablespoon. Hello, Mr Tablespoon.

'Oh, hello, Katy. Are we going to do some measuring?'

Yes, we are. We need one tablespoonful of this juice.

So we put our spoon into the cup and we tip a load to fill it up.

So hold the cup by the handle, everybody.

Gently tip it to the side and fill your spoon up with juice.

And then splash it in with your fruit.

What's going to happen is the fruit is going to soak up the juice.

-The next ingredient is a pear, but where's the pear?

-There!

-Is it over there?

-No. It's on the plate!

Oh, there's the pear. We're going to snip it up using scissors.

Remember, be safe with scissors.

-Everyone knows, we point them down towards our...

-Toes.

Towards our toes. So take your scissors and let's get snipping.

-Ooh, it's a very soft pear, isn't it, Aisha?

-Yes.

It's slipping away from me!

-I snipped the pear!

Snip, snip, snip.

You can do some snipping with us at home too.

All you need are your scissors like this and then you can go

snip, snip, snippety snip.

Next we have to add our mixed fruit,

that's soaked up the juice, in with our pear.

Let's take our big spoon and then scoop up the mixed fruit

and put it into the big bowl.

This dish is very fruity, isn't it? Who can do the fruity dance?

So, we've got some milk,

some butter,

and some peas. What would you choose for our fruity filo parcels?

The special ingredient comes from cows.

Peas don't come from cows, do they?

They come from plants. So we can definitely take that one away.

So here's another clue.

The special ingredient comes from cows and you can spread it on toast.

You can't spread milk on toast, can you? That would be extremely messy!

So we can take that one away too. Which leaves us with butter.

We're going to need some butter for our fruity filo parcels

and I have been to find some.

I've come to Wiltshire to find out how butter is made.

Let's go and find out.

Butter is made from cream, collected from cows.

The cream gets poured into this machine here. It's called a churn.

It's a bit like a washing machine because it goes round and round.

And it separates the cream into solid butter

and into a liquid called buttermilk.

I'm going to help Dave from the dairy

-pour this cream into the churn. Ready, Dave?

-Yes.

-OK.

Oh, it's heavy.

Wow! Look at all that cream!

And now we just need to close it and switch on.

And that spins around for about 40 minutes.

Wow! Look at that!

All we need to do now is drain the buttermilk.

After that, the butter is weighed and then we pat it and wrap it.

That is going to be perfect to use for our fruity filo parcels.

Butter is so interesting, isn't it? We've got some butter.

We're going to use it.

But we need melted butter, so I've melted some butter for all of you.

And I've got some other ingredients which I'm going to add to it.

We've got caster sugar and we've got mixed spice,

which is going to add flavour.

Let's sprinkle it in. Sprinkle, sprinkle, sprinkle.

Oh, love it!

-What happens when it goes into the butter?

-It turns a different colour.

It does indeed! The butter swallows it all up, doesn't it?

We're going to use our brush to mix it up, like this.

-It's a bit like mixing paint, isn't it?

-Yay!

Why don't you do some mixing?

You can get your bowl and get your brush. Got them?

-Good, good! And we're going to go mix, mix, mix.

-With your brush!

With your brush, as Nina says.

Next, we're going to use some filo pastry, which is a lovely type

of pastry that goes yummy and crispy in the oven.

It's hiding underneath this damp towel so that it doesn't dry out.

Take the damp towel off and look!

-What does it look like, Aisha?

-It looks like tissue.

-Like tissue.

-It does look like tissue!

-First, we need to do some dib dabbing.

So, dib, dab, dib, dab, dib, dab, dib, dab, all over the filo pastry.

It looks like a spotty dog.

Dib, dab, dib, dab, dib, dab.

I love dib dabbing!

We're going to take a big spoonful

of our fruity mixture and put it at the bottom of the filo pastry.

-There!

-OK, fantastic!

Now we need to fold the pastry over on this side -

it's like wrapping up a birthday present -

and then fold the pastry over on this side. OK, you try that.

Next, we have to do some more dib dabbing,

so dip your brush in the butter and then dib dab all over the pastry.

The next thing we have to do is the roly poly.

Can everyone do some roly polying? Roll up!

And then roll down! And then roll it all around!

Let's do that again really quickly. This time, you can join in with us.

Roll up! Roll down! And roll it all around!

-Who's ready to do some rolling?

-ALL: Me!

We have to roll our fruity mixture up in our filo pastry,

-so it looks like a little pillow.

-I've done it!

That's it. And then put on to your tray.

Fantastic! And then, you have to do it all over again.

You start by dib dabbing your piece of pastry.

Spoon up our mixture.

And then wrap it up like a birthday present.

-And then you roly...

-Poly.

And that is it.

The very last finishing touch is to give it a quick dib dab

-of butter before we put it in the oven.

-It's going to taste nice!

It's going to taste incredible. And that, everybody, is it!

You've put the ingredients together for your fruity filo parcels

and you did it all by yourself. It's time to put them in the oven.

But remember, ovens are hot, so don't go near.
