OK, I'll tell you. I'll tell you. Today's delicious recipe is...

hide and seek cheesecake.

ALL: Mmm!

Before we get started on the cooking,

there's something we have to do. Do you know it?

ALL: Wash our hands!

That's right. Off you go, everyone.

Let's get started. We're going to make two cheesecakes today

so we're going to use two biscuits. They're like little eyes.

Hello!

So put your two biscuits into your paper bag

and we're going to bash the biscuits with a rolling pin.

We have to be very careful because we don't want to bash our fingers.

Let's count to three. One, two, three, go!

All the big bits are running away!

And...stop!

Give them a shake. Listen! What has happened?

-They've turned into crumbs.

-Shall we have a look inside?

-Lots of crumbs.

-Loads of crumbs!

Let's put our bashed up biscuits into some butter I melted earlier.

I'm just going to check that it's not too hot. That's perfect.

Let's pour in our lovely crumbs.

-I thought this was eggs?

-No, it's melted butter, but it's similar.

And then use your spoon to give it a mix.

Don't forget to mix with us at home, get your bowl and your spoon

and mix, mix, mix!

I think it looks like golden sand.

-Yeah!

-Yeah.

-What does it smell like?

It smells like toffee.

-It looks like toffee, actually.

-There's no more butter in it.

No, because the butter has soaked into the biscuit crumbs.

The next thing we need to do is put this biscuit mixture

into these little bowls over here. These bowls have got a funny name.

They're called ramekins.

-Can you say ramekin?

-Ramekin.

Well done!

So next we need to put this lovely biscuity mixture

-into our ramekins.

-Yum.

Can everyone show me their thumbs?

ALL: Meh-meh-meh!

We're going to use our thumbs to push down

the crunchy biscuit base into our ramekins.

Push, push... Oh, it's all sticky.

-Who's squashed their lovely biscuity mixture down?

-Me!

That's it, the base is made. Our cheesecake

is called hide and seek cheesecake.

That's because we're going to hide something in it.

Welcome to the I Can Cook garden, everybody.

Where do you think we might find raspberries?

Do you think they'll be under the ground, on bushes,

or in the greenhouse?

ALL: Bushes!

That's right, they grow on bushes.

-What colour are raspberries when they're ready to pick?

-Red!

-Right, when they're dark red. Shall we go on a raspberry hunt?

-Yes!

Come on, let's go, everyone.

-I've found a ladybird. There!

-Oh, yeah!

I've found them.

ALL: Yeah!

Oh, you've found them. Well done. Shall we pick some, everyone?

ALL: Yeah!

You have to be careful when picking raspberries

because they're quite prickly on their stalks,

so I'm going to use my gloves and hold them while you pick one off.

Do you want to go first?

OK.

Give it a good tug.

Well done.

That's it. What does it look like?

-Squashy.

-It looks squashy?!

It's got seeds.

Ooh, lovely!

Now we've got our raspberries, let's get back to the kitchen, everyone.

Come on. Off we go.

We've got our raspberries from the garden

and now we're going to put them on top of your biscuit base.

What we need to do is to hide the raspberries

underneath the cheesecake mixture.

Now, where do eggs like this come from?

ALL: Chickens!

What does the chicken do?

THEY CLUCK LIKE CHICKENS

Take your mug with the handle on it

and we're going to knock on the door. Ready?

Knock, knock, knock.

Then make a crack and use your thumbs to open it up like this.

Watch!

I've spilt mine.

-Oh, no!

So, next, let's whisk up the egg with our fork. Go!

You're doing some really fast whisking today, guys.

And... stop!

Let's pour this egg mixture into this lovely squishy cheese.

Ready? One, two, three. Pour!

So, bring your bowl into the middle of your mat

and then we're going to use our fork to mix the cheese

and the egg together.

Is everyone's mixture really lovely and smooth?

-ALL: Yes!

-Let's have a look.

Ooh! Next we're going to add some vanilla.

The type of vanilla we're using is vanilla extract

which is a liquid vanilla.

It's got lots of flavour in it so we won't need much,

only a little teaspoon.

That's it. Just half a teaspoon. Then put it in.

The final thing we have to add to our cheesy mixture

is something that's going to make it really sweet.

-What do you think it is?

-Sugar!

-That's right. Did you guess?

It's caster sugar.

Pour in your sugar and then give everything a really good mix,

for the very last time.

Don't forget to mix with us.

And the very last thing we have to do is play...

the two spoon game. So we've got two spoons.

This one's called Margaret.

"Hello, my name's Margaret! Nice to meet you.

"I like your blue T-shirt. You look lovely."

Then we've got Ethel.

"Hello, dear. My name's Ethel. Lovely to meet you."

So, Margaret's going to do the scooping and Ethel does the pouring.

Ah! And that is how we hide our raspberries.

So, get scooping, everyone.

You can have your own names. What are yours going to be called?

Jack and Sarah.

Mine's going to be Jack and Jake.

Give it a little flatten at the top with the back of your spoon.

Margaret's doing a great job.

And that's it. You've made it!

You put all the ingredients together for your hide and seek cheesecake

all by yourself!

So, now it's time to put our cheesecakes in the oven.

But, remember, ovens are hot - so don't go near!
