They're heading out to a hopefully snowy Riga

for a top international competition.

I think we're about to land.

We're delighted to welcome you all to a snowy Riga,

and wish you all a safe onward journey.

After months of training, they've landed in a winter wonderland.

Our Ice Stars will be taking on 50 other skaters

from all over the world.

For the first time,

Beccy's competing at junior level with Kloe,

and Josh, who flew out yesterday,

will compete for the first time at senior level,

but, first, there's the small job of unpacking.

I've got all my stuff from home.

She's... Are you all right?

-Yeah, I'm good!

-SHE LAUGHS

-For three days?

-Yeah.

My suitcase is, like, five times bigger than anyone's.

I've got, like, six pairs of gloves, Beccy, for one practice.

I couldn't decide.

I have, like, five tops for training, five jumpers...

Oh, I've also got two pairs of trainers with me.

-Three, actually.

-SHE LAUGHS

I've got everything, Beccy.

-There wasn't enough space.

Honestly, I think the room is a bit small,

because I have so much stuff.

This is not my favourite part.

-I don't know where I can put it.

Being able to compete at the junior level is one thing,

but, for me, like, the main outcome of this week is just to show that

I don't look out of place in the senior category,

and that I'm one to watch for the future.

The numbers in Kloe's and Beccy's competition this year is, kind of...

kind of, crazy.

To stand out in that, you've got to perform to your best,

so I hope they're going to be able to handle it well.

With so much at stake,

the girls have been told to stay in their room and focus.

Until, like, we finish competing,

we literally have to stay in the room.

Even if we want to go to, like, the shop,

we're not really allowed to go out.

I, like, get bored, like, really easily.

The TV's not in English, so that doesn't help.

I have to bring my homework with me.

At the minute, I'm doing maths.

This is ridiculous.

We're in Latvia, and it's snowing.

..the Icicles are struggling with their most challenging routine ever.

They're hoping a risky Bollywood theme could help them retain their

title of British Synchro Champions,

but, so far, they just can't get it right.

I could probably count out about six people that

still aren't bringing this arm in front.

Desperate to make the Bollywood theme work,

Charlotte's designed the dresses...

Like, there. Like, around that bit.

..and the girls have all helped bling them up.

I thought red and purple's a pretty Indian, Bollywood colour.

Today, they're all meeting up to find

a winning hair and make-up look.

Are you excited for today?

Yeah, I am. I want something bold for the Bollywood.

Yeah, but you'll be my model,

so I can try them all on you.

It's Charlotte who's landed that difficult task of

finding the perfect Bollywood make-up to go with

her costume design.

When I think of Bollywood, I think of purple and golds, and reds,

so that's on the dresses,

so then you couldn't have a red dress with green eyes -

it has to link.

I'm going to do it quite high,

because I feel like it's got to be quite bold.

Big, bold and Bollywood!

But none of the hair or make-up designs will make it to the ice

without Coach Esther's approval.

Looks like there's a blue line up there, yeah.

I'm not sure that's working for me.

That's not OK, I don't think, for this programme.

Esther doesn't hold back when she doesn't like something.

No, she doesn't at all.

She's just, like, "No!"

No, I need it higher, just a little bit.

I'm putting a bit of purple underneath her eye to

try and incorporate it all into the dress.

To get it, I had to do loads of layers.

It's like stage make-up, like,

so the people in the back can see it.

Annie, I think that's quite subtle, but is it enough?

Esther never wants it to be subtle.

I'll say that, like, this is shiny, but it's not shiny enough,

so we were going to try and make it more bold with the glitter.

A little bit of water, I think.

Yeah, water.

Whoo! Yeah, look, it's really shiny.

Make-up may seem important, but most important is we've skated well,

that we're ready. We need to...

Well, it looks like the final make-up design

has won Esther's approval...

Everybody seems to like it, so I think everybody's quite happy.

..and matched with Charlotte's dress design, it's a winning combo.

I absolutely love it.

Having the full look's given us that little bit of motivation that we

really need at the moment.

The make-up's so amazing.

Yeah, like, it all fits together.

The Icicles have nailed the Bollywood theme.

Now all that's left is for them to perfect the routine.

We have to perform as good as the dresses.

Cos otherwise you're just going to look like you've just focused

all your time doing your hair and your make-up, and...

-Not enough with the skating.

The Bollywood routine, it was OK, but...

-Not great.

-Not "Wow!"

To be in with a chance of a win,

the girls have to find that wow factor, and time is running out.

It's competition day in Riga,

and the world's finest skaters have turned out in force.

Oh, thank you, pet.

For Kloe and first-time junior Beccy,

going up against 50 girls is going to be tough.

I don't think I have ever skated in a competition with this many people

in it before.

I'm more nervous than I was.

It's not really like I can change anything.

All I have to do is skate my best.

Don't rush. Don't be upset if something's not working.

Understand? Fighting for all and very strong, right?

That was triple.

Oh, very good.

But coaches Gurgen and Joy are positive their skaters are ready to

perform alongside the best.

Our girls have worked hard for this.

They've just got to get on and perform,

but when they're out there,

-nobody can feel what they're going through.

Look, just be confident with all your jumps, with all your spins.

First up, it's Beccy,

who landed her biggest win ever last year.

I can't believe I'm British champion.

I... I really did not expect that.

But now she's stepped up to juniors, it's all different.

Everybody's so good here.

People are landing much bigger jumps than I am.

We have to calm her down and slow her down

because I would just like her to perform.

When I fell, I was quite disappointed with myself.

As I was getting further through the programme,

my legs were getting tired and I started to skate slower.

I was not very happy with myself

and I think Gurgen was a bit angry with me.

Oh, dear. It's not the performance Beccy or the coaches had hoped for.

They knew what I'd done wrong and I knew what I'd done wrong.

I didn't feel like I performed it as well as I could've or should've.

I want to see a happier girl,

not somebody dressing out is if you're doing,

You should have had this smile on your face when you were skating

It's a learning step for her and for us

as to how we mould Beccy to do a better skate next time.

Now, it's Kloe's turn to see if she can improve on

her performance here last year.

Last year I skated really bad so I got a really low score.

I was definitely hoping to do better this year.

I haven't actually seen Kloe this morning.

I'm hoping that she's going to keep focused, and just, you know,

concentrate and do her best.

Kloe has to forget the 50 other skaters and just focus on herself.

Skating nice, please. OK? Right?

When I landed my first two jumps,

I was really, like, into the programme.

I was feeling really good.

I only had one more jump to get through

and that jump was really easy.

When I went into the jump, I completely, like, just went blank.

Yeah.

I only did a single turn in the air, and it was meant to be a double,

so I got no points for that.

Where's the double loop? What happened?

At least you can have 40.

Believe me, if you're doing double loop now, nice double loop,

yeah, OK, the judges would give you much more.

OK.

This piece was very good.

She was skating nice.

She was OK, but, in the end, she did an absolutely silly mistake.

Like, I had so many things going through my head,

and I singled my double loop, which is by far the easiest jump.

She will not have any points for that jump.

Why are we going and losing our points?

-I don't know.

-On easy elements.

On easy... On nothing.

Even with her mistake,

Kloe scored 36, which still beats her score from last year.

If I would've skated clean, I would have beaten my personal best by far.

APPLAUSE

And although she could have done better,

she's looking on the bright side.

I mean, I didn't fall, which is always a bonus.

Last year, in some competitions I got under 30,

so if I look at it that way,

it's a big improvement.

I just have to...

Instead of being upset about it, I just have to learn from it.

They're not skating really confident today.

Maybe nervous, I don't know.

They need more experience on international competitions.

After disappointment for both girls,

success for the team now rests on Josh's shoulders.

Back in Nottingham and desperate to perfect their routine,

the Icicles have had a brainwave.

We've come here to get some inspiration for our programme

and really see what modern Bollywood is about.

I feel like any inspiration we can get would help at this point,

because we are a bit stuck.

The British is coming up so it's really important that we get

these damn moves together.

Last year in Riga, Josh was a junior.

Tonight he's trying to prove himself at seniors for the first time.

I'm definitely, like,

one of the smaller and younger ones in the category.

Most of them are, like, over 20 and I'm still 17,

so I know that the standard is much stronger.

I'm really excited to be here and I just want to skate my best.

Be confident. I am here with you, OK?

This is a top level in figure skating, so it's very difficult.

He can show that for the judges. He's ready.

He just will have to show all triples,

his triple-triple combination.

In training, Josh's triple-triple jump was looking solid...

This is absolutely good.

..but this is a competition with a lot riding on it.

I knew I could do it and I just wanted to do it in that moment.

It's like showing that you are worthy of being a senior.

Luckily, Kloe and Beccy are there to cheer him on.

Josh will be really nervous, just because of, you know,

being in seniors.

I think definitely he'll feel the pressure.

Finished in seventh place - that's really, really good.

He is now, competition by competition,

skating better and better.

It makes me so proud. I'm really proud of him.

Like, I've never felt like this because now I feel like Josh

just did his best, and obviously I know I can do my best as well,

and I really want to do it.

I did everything that I wanted to do.

This competition's been really great in terms of showing to myself

that I can compete in the senior category,

and, like, still get good scores even though I'm still a junior.

With all the skating now behind them,

there's finally time to hit the snow.

I actually want to go on the swing.
