is going to be flying over Justin's House tonight.

I know!

It only happens once every gazillion years,

so we're having a special stargazing party to celebrate.

I've set up Justin's telescope

so that we can see Justin's Comet when it arrives.

And also, I've set up all of these spacey decorations.

Do you like them?

Yes!

Yes! I've even gone so far as to make some space snacks.

Now, where did I put them?

Er, I'm sure they're here somewhere...

Oh, it's Little Monster.

Say hello to Little Monster, everybody.

No, don't eat the space snacks.

We need to wait for when the comet arrives.

Oh, but, Robert, waiting for it is so hard to do.

Right, now, sir, while we are waiting, why don't I regale you with

information about Justin's Comet using the power of fruit?

Wow, Robert, that sounds

interesting and delicious at the same time.

All right, all right, so let's imagine that this apple is the sun.

Right. So, this apple is the sun. OK.

Yes, and then this strawberry is the Earth.

Mm. Ooh!

And then all of these grapes are the planets,

so we've got Mercury, and Venus,

and Mars, and Jupiter, and Saturn...

Do you know what, Robert?

-Yes?

-I never knew space exploration could be so delicious!

-Really, sir?

-Little Monster, another planet?

What do you mean, "another planet"? Who's been eating the planets?!

Justin!

There may have been some kind of vortex in space,

and all of the planets may have, um, ended up in my black hole.

-The black hole in the middle of your face, you mean?

-Yes, my mouth.

Let's try this one more time, shall we?

So, this apple is the sun.

-Leave it alone!

-All right.

-I'm watching you.

-This strawberry is the Earth.

-Oh, yes.

Leave it!

Right, and then these grapes are all the other planets.

No, leave it alone! Leave it alone.

Right, so we've got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.

Right, OK, so there's all of our planets and the sun.

Now, if we imagine that this slice of cake is Justin's Comet, you see,

and this gets to go around and around and around our sun.

But let's imagine that Justin's Comet is not this delicious,

delicately-baked collection of flour and sugar and...

BOTH: Fnar, fnar, fnar!

No, no, it is, in fact, a large ball of ice and rock,

whizzing about our galaxy, back and forth, back and forth,

and you're following it very intently, sir.

I think we could have some fun with this.

So, the comet whizzes over here.

Argh!

-And then it whizzes over there.

-Argh!

And then it hits another cherry - I mean, comet -

and goes spinning off around the galaxy.

Give me the cake!

-And then it goes over here!

-JUSTIN YELLS

But then, as Justin's Comet approaches our Earth

it gets nearer the heat of our sun, so it starts to melt, you see,

and it gets smaller.

-What are you doing?

-And it gets a little bit smaller.

He's eating it!

As Justin's Comet starts to melt, the ice and rocks start to fall away

and they form a beautiful, shimmering tail,

which is exactly what we're going to see when Justin's Comet

flies over Justin's House tonight.

Hey, Little Monster, hang on a minute, that was my cake!

Well, I have to admit, Robert, that cake...

I mean, the comet, sounds very exciting.

I can't wait to see it. Can you, everyone?

-No!

-It's going to be amazing!

Just hold your horses and don't get too excited.

The comet won't be here yet. However, I've set up your telescope

so we can see it when it does arrive.

-It's very heavy, Robert.

-Well, it's built to last, sir.

Ayaah!

Whoa! Robert, do you want to...? Whoa!

Oh, Robert, I don't... Whoa!

-Robert!

-Sir, just be careful...

-Robert!

Oh. Let's see what we can see through it.

Hang on, everyone, I can see a green alien over there.

An alien! Where? That's not an alien.

-That's right, it's Little Monster, sir.

If you want to look at space

you need to look up there cos that's where space is.

-I'd set your telescope up ready.

-Oh, I see.

I'll give it another go. Here we go. Ooh!

I say, Robert, I can see some beautiful stars.

-Yes.

-It's amazing, Robert,

but it's such a shame that our friends can't see what I can

through my telescope.

Don't worry, sir, I've already thought of this.

-Everybody, get ready to go "ooh".

-Ooh!

All right? Because I think you're going to like this.

-Ooh!

-I know!

It's a telly for the telescope.

But basically, sir,

whatever you see through the telescope we can see on the telly.

That's just brilliant, Robert! Let's get stargazing, shall we?

-I'm just moving the telescope round.

-Very good.

-Refocusing, Robert.

-Here we go. Can anyone see anything?

-Ooh!

-Yes!

-What is it?

-It's a little blue planet.

-Oh, you're right!

-Robert, I can see a blue planet!

-Oh, it's lovely sir, hello!

-Yes.

I wonder who lives on the blue planet. Any ideas?

SHOUTING Well, I don't know,

let's have a look. I'm just focusing.

Oh! Oh, sir, look, it's the Clangers!

Everybody wave to the Clangers!

-Oh, that was wonderful, sir.

Yes, but, you know what?

There's still no sign of Justin's Comet, Robert!

-Oh, don't worry, sir.

we've all been waiting to see the comet, yes.

Well, actually, not ALL of us have been waiting.

You see, Justin is unable to wait and he keeps falling asleep,

and I'm worried he's going to miss the comet.

So I spend all my time looking up at the marvellous night sky -

at stars, and planets, and comets.

I remember when I was trying to see my first comet.

I had to wait and wait and wait.

I thought it would never come, but then it appeared, and I thought,

"Wow! This is the best thing I've seen in my whole life!"

It was amazing, like a shining jewel zipping across the night sky.

Oh, Maggie, that sounds fabulous!

It's just like a brilliant firework display -

you have to wait for them to start, but when they do, they're brilliant.

You know what? I think you're right.

Some things are worth waiting for, aren't they, everyone?

-Yes!

-Yes, absolutely.

-And I'm ready for Justin's Comet.

-Oh!

Yeah, and I'm going to try really, really,

really hard to wait this time.
