For Christians, Easter is a very special time.

We've been invited by Toby...

..to see what it's all about.

Hello, I'm Toby, and this is my friend, Tia,

and we're getting all ready for Easter Sunday tomorrow.

Easter Sunday is a time when Christians celebrate

Jesus coming back to life.

There are lots of things to remind us of this, because it is spring

and new life is all around us.

Now, we're going to do something really exciting.

We're going to see the baby animals on our friend's farm.

My brother, Henry, is coming too.

These little chicks have just been born

and we're allowed to hold them.

I've got a black one.

-WOMAN:

-Lovely, isn't he?

He's a goldy colour and he's very, very soft and warm.

Mine's trying to fly away.

Mine is having a rest.

Here's an egg that hasn't hatched. Does anyone want to have a look?

Chicks hatch out of eggs like this one,

and eggs are really important at Easter.

Tomorrow, it is Easter Sunday

and we've got lots to prepare. We need to pick

loads of flowers for church tomorrow. We're going to make something

really beautiful with them.

So, I'd better get picking!

I've seen lots of baby flowers.

I've got loads here.

Look at all these!

Look how long this daffodil is.

It's time to say goodbye to Tia until tomorrow.

'This tiny garden reminds us of when Jesus died on the cross,

'and how his body was placed in a tomb in a garden.'

-Hello!

-Yeah.

Now, what do you think of the Easter garden?

This stone is in the wrong place.

It needs to go here.

We don't know exactly what the garden looked like,

but it probably had plants and trees in it,

and lots of sand, because it was very hot.

Lots of people will come to look at this tomorrow

and remember the story of when Jesus came back to life.

Me and Daddy are about to make chocolate Easter nests

and my brother, Henry, is helping too.

OK, boys, let's crunch up the cornflakes.

OK. Now, we're going to pour it in here, boys.

-Shall we do that?

-Yeah.

Pour it in. Now, Toby, do you want to help me stir it?

-It looks really yummy, I want to eat it all up!

-And now,

we need to get some spoons, to spoon them into your own individual cases.

Get a spoonful and then put it in your case.

That's a good one, Toby.

Spoon it into your case.

Now, we are making them into little nest shapes...

..and then putting some chocolate eggs inside.

I'm going to give one to Tia tomorrow,

because she loves chocolate AND chicks.

Now, we have to put the chicks on the nests.

Now for the best part,

licking the spoons and the bowl clean!

-It tasted lovely.

Ooh, er... Ahem.

Do you remember Toby saying that the Easter Story happened

in a hot country, where there was sand? Well, watch this.

This man is making pictures

to tell you the story of Jesus coming back to life, using sand.

Look, he's drawing a hillside and the sun.

When Jesus died, his body was put in a tomb

and a big stone was put over the entrance,

so nobody could get in.

Can YOU see the round tombstone being drawn in the sand?

Two days later, Jesus' friend, Mary, went to the tomb

and discovered that the stone had been rolled away

and Jesus' body was gone.

At first, Mary was really sad. Who had taken her friend?

Then she heard a voice.

She turned around and saw...

Jesus, he was alive!

Mary ran off to tell all of Jesus' friends he'd come back to life.

For many days afterwards, Jesus met with Mary and his friends.

He talked with them, and ate with them,

and taught them lots of things.

Then, he went home to Heaven.

Can you see the face and hands of Jesus?

Wow! Wasn't that amazing?

I've made my own picture out of sand. Do you want to see it?

Oh, dear, those flowers are tickling my nose again!

Oh, maybe I should have used glue to stick it down!

Oh, well.

I hope Toby has better luck with the flowers he picked.

Happy Easter! We're having hot cross buns for breakfast.

We always eat them at Easter. They're really yummy,

especially with butter on top.

Can you see the cross on the hot cross bun?

It reminds us of the cross that Jesus died on before he rose again.

We're going to be seeing a much bigger cross than this one

at church this morning. CHURCH BELLS RING

Lots and lots of people are gathering at church

to celebrate Easter. Can you hear the bells ringing?

It's a very special day for Christians.

People are bringing flowers to church.

We've got the ones that we picked yesterday.

They're all being gathered up here. You'll see why later.

On Easter Sunday, we have a very important job to do.

It's very important that we take all of the flowers with us.

Can you see this cross? It's much bigger than me.

We're about to put all our flowers on it.

Henry, what you have to do is get the flowers... Yeah?

..and put them on this big cross, like this.

This cross is made out of wood from a recycled Christmas tree.

The cross is getting very full with flowers.

There, the cross is finished.

We're going to take it into church for everyone to see.

We're so excited to take the cross into church!

-Well done! A round of applause.

-APPLAUSE

The service has finished. We're very excited,

because Father John is giving out chocolate.

HE WHISPERS: I'm going to give Tia this nest now. I hope she likes it!

Look what I made for you yesterday, Tia.

-and we're about to go and find them. Yeah!

This is a really big Easter egg hunt. It's very hard to find the eggs.

That was so much fun!
