In this episode we're going to explore our hopes
and worries about the future.
So, what does the future hold for our Lifebabblers?
We simply have no idea what the future holds.
Never limit yourself.
That's definitely my favourite piece of advice for the future.
Your goal may seem really hard at the moment,
but that should only make you even more determined to work harder.
Because when you get there it will feel so good.
Don't get too stressed out,
everybody has their own journey with their own outcome.
Trust your journey.
Trust your instincts,
but not to the point where you can't turn back.
You can always go back and start from square one,
it's not the end of the world.
Try not to think or worry about how far you've got to go,
but, instead, be really proud of how far you've come.
If you set a goal to be a footballer, then go and do it.
The future is exciting. Don't feel worried, look forward to it.
Oh, look, a crystal ball.
Why don't I look into it to see the future?
Dear crystal ball...
What will I be when I grow up?
You are going to be a train driver.
But I don't want to be a train driver.
Well, you are going to be a great dog hairdresser.
Well, no, I don't actually want to be that either.
Well, then, why don't you just be what you want to be?
I want to become an Olympic swimmer and a vet.
I worry about the future and how I will balance everything
when it comes to all the hard work for me to achieve my goal.
Making big decisions can be stressful,
but they can also be the start of something new and exciting.
It's better to take your time and make the right decision,
rather than to rush and make the wrong decision.
Try not to limit yourself, all of us have stories about ourselves,
about what we're good at and what we're bad at.
If you are not sure what you want to do when you're older,
there's no hurry.
Here are some handy tips.
Get involved in work experience.
It's a great opportunity to try out new things and see if you enjoy it.
Talk to people in different professions
and see if they have any advice.
Speak to your teacher or careers adviser for more helpful tips.
When I was growing up, there were loads of times
when I had no idea what I wanted to do
and other times when I thought I did but then changed my mind.
Trust me, there are always options.
The future is bright.
And the future is exciting.
When I grow up, I don't know what I want to be.
I could be anything, but it doesn't matter,
I have enough time to make up my mind and there's no pressure.
# I still don't know what I want to do
# I might become a teacher so I can stay in school
# I don't know who I'll be
# But, oh, I'm excited to see
# What life has in store for me
# I'm pretty good at drawing
# In art
# I might become a painter
# If I work really hard
# I'm good at science too
# I don't think I'll mind what I do
# The future is exciting
# And new. #
That's it for this Lifebabble.
