We're off on a colourful journey around the world.

I wonder who we are going to meet today.

This is the country of Greenland.

A place that isn't far from the cold land of the North Pole.

-Hello.

-Hello, Hanna.

Hanna is four years old.

And this is her home she shares with her family.

Here is Hanna's mum.

And her one-year-old baby brother, Kangee.

Hello, Kangee.

This is the bed where she sleeps, and on the other side of the room,

this is where they cook.

This is Hanna's older brother.

And they are showing us where they wash their dishes outside.

Can you see the water flowing from the pipe?

Oh, yes.

It is a great place for Hanna to play in the summer.

There is Hanna's little brother. That's a cool hat, Kangee.

Hannah loves to play. Especially on her swing.

We are off on another journey.

This time to the river Rio Negro, in Brazil.

Here the river has risen so high that it has flooded some of the land.

And that is why these houses are built on high, wooden stilts,

to keep them dry from the river water.

And this is four-year-old Carlos Eduardo, and his mum.

She is busy getting Carlos Eduardo dressed for school.

And combing your hair, Carlos.

But first, Carlos Eduardo is finishing some homework

before going to school.

With a little help

from his older brother.

Time to go to school, Carlos Eduardo.

But how will you get there?

In a canoe.

He goes to school with his older sister, and his brother,

on a canoe along the flooded water of the river.

That's amazing!

Mum is watching carefully to make sure they have left safely.

You haven't finished your homework, Carlos.

You are doing your work in the canoe.

He looks very busy.

Through the bushes they go.

Look, more children are arriving in their canoes.

And here is the school teacher, waiting for her pupils.

School is about to start!

Phew, just in time.

As they all arrive and get out of their canoes.

And there is Carlos.

Be careful as you step out of the canoe, Carlos.

Into school he runs.
