We're off on a colourful journey around the world.

I wonder who we're going to meet today.

This is the bank of the Rio Negro, Brazil.

This water flows into the Amazon river,

one of the biggest rivers in the world,

and this is a tiny island on the side of the river

where only a few people live.

This is Carlos Eduardo and his grandmother.

Carlos is four years old and he lives on this island.

Carlos Eduardo and the other children love to spend time

on the banks of the river, playing in the sand.
