We're off on a colourful journey around the world.

I wonder who we'll meet today?

This is Shoree. She's four years old

and lives in a country called Mongolia.

-You're in a hurry, Shoree.

-Yes!

She lives in a round home called a "ger".

A ger!

A ger.

She's reciting a Mongolian poem to her mum and two sisters.

SHE RECITES

Oh, that was lovely.

What are you doing now, Shoree?

Look, she's showing us all her toys.

What next, Shoree?

She's off again with her mum.

She's going to check if all the yaks are OK.

Look, one hairy yak is being milked.

Shoree likes being a little farmer.

Look at her stroking the calf.

Off you go again, Shoree.

Where are you off to now?

She's going to help her dad and family build a new home.

A new ger. Look carefully.

Shoree and her sister are sitting on a bed.

They build their ger around the furniture

so that they can fit it all in.

Time for Shoree to help now.

She's helping to carry sticks to build a special ger.

Oh, they look heavy, don't they?

-What are they going to do with them?

-I'm not sure.

But we'll find out soon.

First, the grown-ups are putting up the wall made of wood.

Shoree is helping her dad to tie it together with some rope.

-You're very busy, Shoree.

-Oh, yes.

And that wooden bit shaped like a round wheel will be the roof.

Look, the long sticks they were carrying

-are now being slotted into the round roof.

-That's clever.

The door is on.

Time now to cover the wall with warm wool.

And on top of the wool, a big piece of material as the final cover.

Why's that?

It's another layer to keep their home nice and extra warm.

And to finish, Shoree is helping to tie it together

round and round the ger.

THEY LAUGH

Look, the ger is ready.

And in she goes.

-Bye, Shoree!
