determined to put the sun, sea and surf into Mum and Dad's big day.

Welcome to Marrying Mum And Dad, the show where the kids plan

everything for their parents' wedding.

Mum and Dad do know their getting married but that's it.

The details of the wedding are kept top secret until the big day.

Mum and Dad have no say whatsoever.

We're in the West Midlands, where two brothers are fired up to

organise a wedding like no other!

Meet our wedding planners,

brothers Niall and Ethan.

Niall and Ethan live with Mum, Sue, and Dad, Steven.

Mum is jolly and fun.

She's got a really nice, bubbly personality.

She's just right.

Dad is really nice.

He's kind. We love him as he is.

Mum and Dad have been together for 14 years and engaged for 13.

So why haven't they tied the knot?

Steve always wanted a registry office wedding and I always wanted

a church wedding, so we always got to the point the point

of discussing it and never getting any further.

Do Mum and Dad think the boys will make a good wedding planning team?

Niall's really hyper and bubbly and Ethan's quite stable.

Tickle war, I declare!

So I think, between the two of them,

they should be a good mix of crazy and nice.

But that hasn't stopped Mum

and Dad getting nervous about what Niall and Ethan will organise.

-Can't even possibly imagine what they're going to plan!

I have woken up in cold sweats a few times.

At the end of the day, we couldn't decide,

so they're going to do a better job than we could've done!

And the boys can't wait to plan the big day.

We're taking charge of Mum and Dad's wedding!

This isn't going to be a boring wedding!

Ours is going to be a way fun wedding.

Planning a wedding means there is so much to sort. Niall and Ethan

-need a theme...

-A venue...

-Some transport...

-Entertainment...

-A wedding cake...

-Not to mention, something for Mum and Dad to wear.

Isn't it one of the most land-locked cities in the country?

-Yeah, where's the nearest beach?

-About 100 miles away.

I think this is going to be the toughest venue search

in Marrying Mum And Dad history!

That's the theme sorted, a beach wedding in...Birmingham.

We'd better start looking for a venue now!

Birmingham is right in the middle of the country,

and as far away from the sea as you can get.

Finding a beach here is a mission impossible!

And we could do with ordering some good weather too.

I'm trying to organise a wedding

that's going to have a sort of beach theme to it.

I've brought the boys, not to Blackpool,

but to their nearest seaside, 100 miles away, Weston-super-Mare,

for some beachy inspiration.

The seaside's got the boys bursting with ideas.

how are we going to make it as beachy as possible?

These sand sculptures are incredible,

and they've got the boys thinking!

is an artist who has a passion for sand sculptures.

She's part of the team that created these magnificent ones.

We're having a beach wedding in Birmingham.

A beach wedding in Birmingham?

Yeah. We were thinking that we could have, like, a sculpture.

Brilliant. What kind of sculpture are you thinking?

Like, a speed boat thing.

-Who are you thinking of having on the boat?

-Mum, Dad, me and Ethan.

It's a great idea, but we had 20 artists working

on this whole site for nine days. The giant King Kong,

-that took the whole nine days.

-Oh.

Just hope we have enough time to make our sand sculpture then!

We're going to need quite a few tonnes of sand for a speed boat.

Please, can we borrow some sand?!

Let's get as much sand as we can for the wedding!

Bring it back to Birmingham! Go!

The trip to the beach has given the boys loads of ideas,

so we'd better get back to Brum.

It's only a two hour journey by car,

so by donkey I should see you in about three days.

Niall and Ethan want ice cream at their beach wedding,

so I've brought them to a farm that can make any flavour they fancy.

Have you got any ideas of what you want to do?

-Because it's a beach wedding, tropical.

-OK.

Bubblegum and marshmallow.

-And, like, candy floss and rock.

-Candy floss and rock.

We're going to make all three flavours,

and then the boys will decide which is their favourite.

First, we need to flavour the milk.

-WOMAN:

-Bubblegum.

-NIALL:

-Doesn't look like candy floss.

-WOMAN:

-Smells like candy floss.

-Looks like jelly.

It smells very coconut-y, doesn't it?

-WOMAN:

-Make sure we get it all in there.

Once the mixture has been put in the ice-cream maker,

we're ready to put in the extras.

Rock to the candy floss flavour...

..marshmallows to the bubblegum ice cream...

Oh, no!

..and mango for our tropical one.

We just need to add a few finishing touches...

and we're ready for the taste test.

That is the weirdest ice cream I've ever tasted.

That's decided! Niall and Ethan will be serving up their own creation

of marshmallow and bubblegum ice cream on the big day.

Next up, it's the entertainment.

Niall and Ethan love their family holidays,

especially when they go to Spain.

They want to include some Spanish flavour in the entertainment

on the big day.

Flamenco, is the traditional dance of Spain,

and the boys want to learn a flamenco dance

to perform for Mum and Dad at the ceremony.

OK, so you're good dancers, are you?

-Yeah, cos we do the boogie!

-Do the boogie!

I've seen you boogie and they boogie a lot.

Flamenco dancer Anna is going to teach Niall and Ethan a routine.

Is there time to train the boys to do a flamenco dance

in time for this wedding?

I think they can do something short and sweet.

Unfortunately, there's not very much of it.

Back at the dance studio, the boys are going from strength to strength.

Niall and Ethan want Mum in a traditional wedding dress,

so we've come to look at a few options.

It's a very big decision to make, isn't it? Mum's wedding dress.

The voting is split, but Ethan has last minute change of heart

and goes for the dress that Niall wants.

That's Mum's dress done.

But the boys want Dad, and themselves,

to dress like beach dudes.

These were the things that we were looking for.

Niall and Ethan are half way through planning Mum and Dad's

beach holiday wedding. They've got just a few weeks to do what

would normally take months.

So far, they've chosen their theme...

We're having a beach wedding in Birmingham.

..and created ice cream to serve the guests.

-It's like eating a cloud.

-I know!

But finding a beach in land-locked Birmingham is a huge challenge.

We're still on the hunt and asking all the locals.

You won't find any beaches in Birmingham.

Meanwhile, Mum and Dad are getting nervous.

I just think they're going to really set me up.

Are you do a stitch-up from them?

-Do you wind them up and things?

-He does.

We've still got loads to sort out. Next, it's the cake.

Niall and Ethan have brought a souvenir from their trip to the

seaside to inspire cake maker Annette. They're thinking big!

The boys have designed a desert-island cake for Mum

and Dad's beachy big day.

That's an island, and then there's going to be, like, all sea

and edible sand.

-Edible sand?

-Yes.

Edible sand?! How are we going to make that?

With the help of Annette, Niall and Ethan get to work trying to

figure out how to make an edible beach.

We think we've created sea by colouring piping gel.

Is it looking sea-like?

Yeah.

And for the sand, we've been experimenting

with dusting powder in sugar to make it look like grains of sand.

Actually, it does look like it.

Let's hope it doesn't taste like sand!

We've cracked it, so we'll leave Annette to make

the desert island cake for the big day.

How does it taste?

-Sugary?

-Yeah.

Makes me want to go on holiday.

Yeah, yeah.

That's the cake sorted for our beachy wedding,

we just need that beach now.

This can't go on.

There must be somewhere near Birmingham

that has something resembling a beach!

I've found a beach near Birmingham!

I've found the very first beach in the Midlands

and I can't wait to show Niall and Ethan.

It's a privately-owned beach and currently not open to the public,

but the owners have said we can use it!

-Lovely, isn't it?

-It's amazing.

eating nothing but seeds and berries to find this.

how to get Mum and Dad to their beach wedding.

The boys are undecided on the transport to the wedding,

so we're going to help them choose.

as I'm not a competent swimmer.

a beach-themed day their mum and dad will never forget.
