This is Marrying Mum And Dad,

the only show which puts you guys in control of your parents' wedding.

That's right. YOU are in charge.

The success or failure of the entire day rests squarely

on the shoulders of our young wedding planners.

Taking on the challenge this time are twins Molly and Sam.

We really want Mum and Dad to get married.

They've been engaged for ever. They have still not done it.

So we are taking over.

Molly and Sam want to organise a seriously 'cool' day

for Mum Andrea and Dad Tony.

They have been together for 31 years -

a Marrying Mum And Dad record.

So, twins working together - should be a dream team, right?

We've been alive for the same time,

we live in the same house,

yet we are completely different,

and we don't agree on anything.

But with just four weeks to plan the big day,

these two will need teamwork to make the dream work.

So it's a good job they have agreed on the wedding theme.

This wedding is going to be amazing.

It is going to be so cool, because our theme is...

TOGETHER: Winter wonderland.

So, Ed, it looks like we are in store for a Lapland-tastic wedding!

Oh, yes. I'm thinking snow-covered mountains,

penguins, reindeer, sledging...

This is going to be one cool wedding.

Yes, we might have a problem.

This snow-tastic big day is happening

in not-so-snowy South Yorkshire.

I am a bit worried about this one, Ed. It is so weather dependent

-and it doesn't snow here in Sheffield all the time.

Let's hope our young wedding planners

don't get frozen with fear at the enormity of this wedding.

Well, Ed, there's 'sNOw' sign

that Molly and Sam aren't up for the challenge.

-Have you got any fabric samples?

-Yeah.

They have got plenty of ideas for all the things

they will need to pull off this wedding.

Including transport, outfits, entertainment,

a venue to hold it in and even a cake.

We have got the cake design here.

But all this bedroom planning has got Mum and Dad fearing the worst.

I am very nervous about the whole enterprise, actually.

I can't deny that.

-MUM:

-Well, they are very, very secretive

and we hear them whispering now and again.

And we are frequently told to leave the room.

You could have, like, loads of that.

I dread to think what they have got planned.

What they have got up their sleeves.

Be worried, Mum and Dad.

With these kids planning your big day,

it is going to be more ice than nice.

We need a sledge ride.

But Ed and I have an even bigger worry.

Look, we have snow in your garden now -

are you hoping this is going to stay?

Or are you hoping for more?

Usually, it snows quite a bit in Sheffield in winter.

'Are you sure about that, Molly?

'Snow like this happens on average just 18 days a year in Sheffield.

'We've checked.

'By counting on the white stuff for the wedding day,

'the twins are taking a huge risk.'

You are going to have to watch those weather forecasts closely,

-but let's hope it is a gamble that pays off, eh?

Just a few days later, and the snow has already melted.

But with the wedding day fast approaching, Molly and Sam

need to press on with their plans and hope it will snow again...soon.

What are you thinking about for entertainment?

Entertainment...

-We were thinking ice hockey, bashing the pucks at Dad.

-In the goal.

-and you were going to whack pucks towards him.

-Yeah.

We were thinking of a portable ice rink.

-So, they haven't ever ice skated before?

-No.

My dad is really clumsy.

So Dad is accident-prone?

Just HOW accident-prone?

He's always, like, falling over.

He once broke his toe watching some people fit a carpet.

And he fell into a pot of paint and got his finger stuck in it.

Sounds like Dad could struggle in ice skates at the wedding.

As the twins are about to discover, ice skating is harder than it looks.

Ah, guys, what a transformation. Come on!

How is the walking?

Yeah, but I think I am getting the hang of it.

Molly and Sam soon realise just how tough

this challenge will be for Dad.

Sam has fallen over already!

And like a bolt of lightning, Molly takes to the ice.

They call her The Silver Bullet.

And they call Sam The Silver Bottom.

After some practice, as well as a few more tumbles,

they are both slap-shooting pucks like ice hockey heroes.

INSTRUCTOR: Let's have a shot, shall we?

All they need now is a goalkeeper.

And guess who is going to stand in for Dad?

We want you to be in the goal.

-For now.

-You want...

You want me to come out and practise being a human target?

-Yeah.

I'm not exactly sure the groom will love doing this on his big day.

The things I do for the show!

After scoring a few direct hits...

..the kids are convinced this is just the thing for Dad.

But it also means they have got to find a venue where

they can fit a portable ice rink.

How are you going to get there?

We were thinking like a husky ride.

-Because my mum and dad love dogs.

-That is nice.

And they would have to have wheels in case it didn't snow.

Huskies are the ultimate snow dogs for pulling snow sleds.

But with no guarantee of the white stuff,

Molly's idea to use wheels means this transport can happen

whatever the weather on the big day.

-They go quite fast, don't they?

'Molly and Sam seem impressed.

'But what would Mum and Dad's ideal wedding transport be?'

The way I would love to arrive is in a cart.

-You know, a lovely old cart...

'This will be a bit faster than a donkey derby, Mum and Dad!'

How do you think Mum and Dad will feel

when you tell them they have got to do this?

They probably might get a bit scared of the speed -

they don't really like speed.

It is not the sort of thing that you would organise

for your traditional wedding plans without your kids doing it.

And Molly and Sam are convinced

this transport idea is not barking mad.

Another decision made.

Time for something sweet to eat.

With only three weeks to go until the winter wonderland wedding,

the twins reveal a very unusual cake idea.

We are thinking sort of an ice cream snowman cake.

An ice cream cake? You'd have to eat that in about ten minutes

-before it all melted.

-Yeah.

'If they can pull off this idea,

'an ice cream wedding cake would be a Marrying Mum And Dad first.'

The cake might be the coldest thing on the big day,

because there is still no sign of the white stuff.

-But the SNOW must go on!

-Oh, Ed!

First things first -

choosing the cake ingredients.

We have got 40 flavours here. Get stuck in.

Who wouldn't be up for this challenge? I'm hungry!

-Death by chocolate is really nice.

-Yes.

That one is nice!

After the definitely not-so-tough task of tasting

all 40 types of ice cream, Molly and Sam have made their minds up.

OK, so, decision time. Which are your favourite flavours?

-Chocolate brownie...

English toffee and honeycomb.

Now we have got to work out how we are going to make it. Come on.

To create their snowman cake made of ice cream, the kids have got

tubs of their favourite flavours and some extra toppings.

They have to mould it together to look like a real snowman.

Simple, right?

Today, we are off to see a possible venue for the wedding.

But has this perfect weather arrived a bit too soon?

-Well, you wanted a winter wonderland wedding. Look at all the snow!

So how do you see things unfolding at the venue?

Lots of snow like this, definitely.

We are just hoping that it will either stay

or snow the day before the wedding.

-If there's going to be snow, you need somewhere to keep warm.

There's lots of wood

and you can imagine it as a cottage in the middle of woodland.

-It's like a ski chalet or something, isn't it?

Inside sorted. But outdoors, the twins need an ice rink.

-That is ambitious.

-And they also want to hold a snowball fight.

Another part of this wedding that could really backfire

if there's no snow.

So, where do you think the best place

to put this ice rink up would be?

Because it is quite a nice big space.

I would love something like a woodland wedding,

birds singing, a lovely summer's day...

Well, it is a woodland venue,

and if you are happy with the total opposite of a lovely summer's day,

it's perfect!

I think we should keep it as it is.

Molly and Sam are loving the venue

but my enthusiasm is thawing.

I think these two might have been lulled

into a false sense of security about the snow,

because, obviously, it's snowing today - great -

but I think this is the most weather-dependent wedding

we have done on Marrying Mum And Dad.

I just hope their wedding dreams don't crumble away in the sun.

But we really need it to carry on snowing.

This winter wonderland wedding is just days away.

But Mum and Dad still need something to wear.

How about outfits?

Well, we were thinking Mum could be like an ice queen - a bit like that.

And Dad we were thinking to be Jack Frost.

And he's going to have a silver top,

and then, sort of, on the other side,

he's going to have "Tony Frost" written on it.

So, the bride is a Snow Queen and the groom is Jack...

I mean, TONY Frost. Cool!

Time is short, though,

so they'll need to share this task with an expert costume maker.

We were hoping you could help us create our costume.

'Mm-hm. Do you have some design ideas

and my mum's going to be a Snow Queen.

'I think we need to source a base suit,

'and then a kind of basic blue dress for your mum.'

-That sounds cool.

We'll get onto that straight away.

So Dad needs a suit for his Jack Frost outfit,

and Sam is soon on the case.

Molly, do you think that's OK?

-Yeah, they'd be good.

And Molly has found something fit for our Snow Queen.

Ooh, Sam, what about that? That'd be perfect.

Ooh, yeah. Wow, that's great.

So we'll get these ordered, get them to the designer

-and, fingers crossed, we can say outfit sorted.

That's the last element sorted.

Now we just need -

With that final flurry, the wedding jigsaw is falling into place.

and there's no snow right now outside the window,

so there's going to be a problem there.

of hiring a fake snow machine, the sort used on big film shoots.
