But first, we need somewhere to make it.

Excellent! The marvellous maker case

has become a marvellous making table.

Now we just need some arty things to make our picture.

We'll need...

some coloured paper or card.

Some scissors and a hole punch.

Some glittery pipe cleaners, a glue stick.

Some old clean socks.

Some toys that you might find in a Christmas cracker.

Parp!

And we need one more thing. That's right,

we need Brussels sprouts!

Brussels sprouts?! We don't need Brussels sprouts.

Scraps, how did you get here?

Oh, I see. Well, Happy Christmas!

We don't need these sprouts now. We need them for Christmas dinner.

Open up. That's it. And go and find me a pen.

Can't wait till Christmas dinner.

Although it does feel like something's missing.

You're here and just in time to help me make our picture.

It's a surprise Christmas stocking picture.

-Bongra, are you ready?

-Yes.

Very good. Are you ready?

Fantastic. Let's get making!

The first thing we're going to make are the brickwork pillars

that stand either side of our fireplace.

We'll make this with some coloured card.

Drawing bricks is very easy to do.

Draw long lines across your card

and then short lines the other way.

Now we'll need some yellow and orange card.

Can you find some? Brilliant. I'll take the yellow card

and you have the orange.

I'll draw a big yellow flame

And you draw a smaller orange one.

Now, Bongra, we need to cut these shapes out very carefully

-because scissors are...

-Sharp!

-Right!

Everything's cut out. We've cut the brick pieces in half,

and we've got a dark rectangle and two strips of paper.

Bongra, can I give you these pieces to look after, my friend?

And I'm going to bring in this large piece of red paper.

This is our background paper.

Put the dark rectangle in the middle

with the brick pieces either side.

A thin strip on top,

the other one at the bottom.

And then add the flames.

Now let's make some coal.

For that, we need a hole punch.

Ask an adult to help you find and use one of these.

I'll help you, Bongra.

Can you make some holes, please?

Great work. Look at that. Excellent work, Bongra.

Let's make even more to make a big pile of hole-punch coal.

Now we need some glittery pipe cleaners.

These pipe cleaners look like tinsel!

Bend them into shape.

Very nice!

Now we can add some stockings.

What should we use for Christmas stockings?

Socks! Excellent. Well done. Good idea, Bongra.

Let's add our socks.

When you're happy with the position of the pieces, glue everything down.

And look, we've even added some toys into the stockings.

Wait a minute! I had a party blower somewhere. Where is it?

Let's put that in. There we are, my friend! We've finished!

That's right, Christmas choir, and mini makers.

Today, we're going to make this.

It's a lolly stick snowman!

And we can make one by using these arty things.

We've got a lolly stick,

some pieces of ribbon,

a pen, a glue stick,

some pieces of paper or card,

some buttons

and some scissors.

Do you think it's possible to make this lollypop stick snowman

-in just one minute?

-No way!

I think I can. I'm going to have to be...

..very quick. But don't worry. I'll remind you how to do it at the end.

-Are you ready?

-Yes!

Good. Are you ready?

Fantastic. Let's make it in a Christmas minute!

-Three, two, one!

-Start the clock!

First, we'll get the lolly stick and put some glue on it at the top.

That will help to stick on a loop of ribbon.

This will help to hang it up later on.

Now get a piece of card and cut out a letter T shape.

Be careful with scissors because they are...

Sharp!

I'm being very, very careful.

There's our hat. Now put some more glue on.

All over the lolly stick.

Then we can stick on our hat.

We've got a scrap of lovely ribbon to make a nice scarf

for our snowman.

And some buttons. Let's stick those on.

There's one. And two.

And one more.

This paper triangle will make a good carrot nose.

Last, we add some dots with a pen

to make eyes and a mouth on our lolly stick snowman!

I did it just in time.

Look - a lolly stick snowman.

And because we made a loop of ribbon at the top,

we can now hang our snowman onto our Christmas tree.

If you've got more than a minute, you could try all sorts of ideas.

How about one of Santa's helpers?

This cute elf with green stripy clothes and glittery highlights.

Or a super Santa with a cotton wool beard and a bright red hat.

Why don't you try and make it in a minute?

Here's a reminder of how to do it.

Let's go back to the beginning and take another look.

Glue a loop of ribbon or string to the back of a lolly stick.

Carefully cut a snowman's hat shape

and stick it to the front of the stick.

Glue on a ribbon scarf and buttons

and a triangle nose.

Draw on the eyes and mouth

and your lolly stick snowman is ready to hang up.

We'll need some decorations.

And that has just given me a Christmassy idea.

Why don't you make something, too?

Try making an everlasting Christmas door decoration

to stick on your bedroom door.

You will need a long strip of coloured paper.

Sticky tape and scissors.

A strip of colourful wrapping paper and a glue stick.

Pom-poms and buttons.

First, fold a long strip of coloured paper in half.

Then carefully make cuts all the way along the fold.

But make sure you don't cut all the way to the other edge.

Tape along the unfolded edge.

Next, bring the two ends together to make a circle.

Tape them together.

Now take a thin strip of wrapping paper

and put glue in the middle of it.

Fold one end to make a loop

and stick it in place.

Do the same with the other end.

Glue it down to make a bow.

Stick the bow onto the paper circle.

Add pom-poms.

And buttons to finish it off.

Your Christmas door decoration is finished

and ready to decorate your door.

What a lovely idea. Why don't you try it?
