around the world!

Today, we go to South Africa

to find out how to make spoon maracas in just a minute.

Cook up your own tasty roast dinner

as we make a big dinner picture.

But first, take a trip Down Under

and discover how to make your own waves at the beach.

Oh, look! We're on a beautiful beach in Australia.

Oh, I love it at the beach.

We've got the sun in the sky,

the sand at my feet,

and of course the wavy sea.

Wait a minute!

That's just given me a great idea.

Let's try something.

Try making a wonderful wave picture.

It's just like being beside the seaside.

Let's make it!

Now, we're going to need a Mini Maker to help us.

Right, Jet is on his way,

but first, we'll need somewhere to make it.

Oh, fantastic, the marvellous Maker case

has become a marvellous making table.

Now we just need some arty things to make our picture.

We'll need some coloured paper and card...

..some paint...

..some scissors and a pen...

..a glue stick...

and we'll also need a banana.

A banana? We don't need a ban...

Scraps, how did you get here?

We don't need a banana. But we do need some stickers.

So, take the banana back, please.

There we go. Can you find some stickers?

Oh, well done, Scraps.

Brilliant job, thank you very much.

We've got some stickers.

There, we've got everything we need,

but...it still feels like something's missing.

Do you know what it is?

Here I am, Mr Maker.

Of course - Jet!

Brilliant, you're here! Thank you so much for coming.

You're just in time to help us make our picture.

It's a wonderful wave with a family of fantastic fish.

-Are you ready, Jet?

-Yes!

-Good.

Are you ready?

Fantastic! Let's get making.

Now, to start off, Jet, we're going to need some paper, like this,

and we'll also need to make some paint splodges.

Let's start with the dark blue first.

Now the light blue.

And now the white.

And once you've finished those three blobs,

do three more.

There.

Now, it's a good idea to make sure that you have a white splodge here,

which will be the crest of your wave.

Now we need a small piece of card or cardboard.

Ah, thank you, Jet, lovely.

Now, we're going to dip this into the paint

and then spread it into the shape of a wave.

So that's dip and spread...

dip and spread.

Now it's beginning to take shape,

let's leave our wave over here

so that it can dry.

Because it's time to make some fish.

So, let's move the paint.

I'll get some card. There we are, my friend,

you have some orange card and I'll have some red.

Now, if we draw an egg shape...

..like that...

that's the body of the fish.

Then we can draw a little tail at the end.

That's it. You can draw as many fish as you like.

When you've drawn all your fish, cut them out.

But be careful, because scissors are...

-Sharp.

-That's right.

GROWLING

Great drawing. Well done, Jet.

Now, we've got all our cut-out fish

and we've used stickers for eyes

and added extra details with a black pen.

They look great, don't they? Our fish are ready.

Let's move them over here, because now we can bring in our dry wave...

and we're going to arrange our fish

and stick them on the picture with glue.

You can help, Jet. Can you grab that glue stick, please?

And put some glue on the back of our fish.

Oh, thank you very much.

Let's put this fish here.

There we are.

You can stick down as many fish as you like

at the top of the wave.

We did it, Jet!

That's right. And today, my friends, we're going to make some music

by making these spoon maracas.

And we can make these spoon maracas

by using these art things.

We've got some plastic beads,

plastic containers, or eggs that split into two halves, like this.

We've got some plastic spoons, sticky tack,

some colourful stickers and some brightly coloured sticky tape.

Now, my friends,

do you think I can make this spoon maraca

in just one minute?

ALL: Stop being silly!

Me, silly? I don't think so.

But I will have to be...

very quick. But don't worry,

I'll remind you how to do it at the end. Are you ready?

ALL: Yes!

Are you ready?

Fantastic. Let's make it in a minute.

Three, two, one...

Start the clock!

First, we put the plastic beans inside the egg.

We can do it like that.

Let's close the egg up. There we go.

Now we get our plastic spoons

and put sticky tack inside each spoon.

This will help us stick the spoons

in the side of the egg.

There we go. Now we need sticky tape.

Let's stick this around everything

to fix it all in place.

Round and round it goes.

Where it stops, no-one knows.

Well, I do, it stops there.

Let's decorate our spoon maracas

with our stickers.

There's one sticker there.

These are stars,

but you can use whatever you like.

There we go, another star.

And three.

We've just about got enough time

to stick on these circles.

There's two.

One last sticker onto our spoon maracas!

Yeah!

I did it! Just in time.

But if you have more than a minute, you could try all sorts of ideas.

How about painting your egg to make a stripy maraca, like this.

Or why not try making a dotty maraca with wool wound around the handle?

Or you could even make a chicken maraca

with a fun foam crest and beak, and pipe-cleaner feet.

Why don't you try and make it in a minute?

Here's a reminder of how to do it.

Let's go back to the beginning and take another look.

Put some beads into an egg and close it.

Use sticky tack to fix two spoons either side of the egg.

Wrap sticky tape around it to keep everything in place.

Decorate your maracas with brightly coloured stickers

and your spoon maracas are finished.

Oh, lots of vegetables, sounds nice.

We're pouring gravy.

And this will be a nice, colourful background.

We're having a great time making our big picture.

And that has just given me an idea.

Why don't you make something too?

Try making this tasty-looking roast dinner

that looks almost good enough to eat.

You will need...

kitchen foil and different-coloured pieces of tissue paper,

gloopy glue and a brush,

paint and a paper plate.

First, take some kitchen foil

and mould it into potato-shaped balls, like this.

Then, for the Yorkshire pudding,

scrunch the foil into a small ball shape.

To make the chicken,

crush the foil into a bone shape.

Then, make another ball shape

and squeeze them together to make it look like a chicken leg.

Scrunch some long foil sticks for carrots.

Use smaller pieces for Brussels sprouts.

Next, to make your foil pieces look like food,

cover them in gloopy glue and different colour tissue paper.

When everything is finished, leave it to dry like this.

Arrange your food onto a paper plate.

Take some gloopy glue and add a big squeeze of brown paint,

then give it a good stir.

Pour the mixture all over the food to look like gravy.

It will also stick everything down.

Then leave it to dry.

Your brilliant roast dinner is finished.

It looks delicious, just make sure nobody eats it.

I really like that idea.

I can smell a big roast dinner.
