0:00:340:00:37

Oh, hello!

0:00:450:00:47

Lovely to see you.

0:00:470:00:48

This is my marvellous maker-mobile.

0:00:480:00:51

I've come out for a drive. I wonder what we'll see today.

0:00:510:00:55

Squawk! Tocky here.

0:00:550:00:57

Mini-maker message!

0:00:570:00:59

Hello, I'm Patrick

0:00:590:01:00

Hello, Patrick. Can I help you today?

0:01:000:01:03

Yes please, Mister Maker.

0:01:030:01:05

I'll be right with you!

0:01:050:01:07

This must be the place.

0:01:240:01:25

Hello, Patrick. How can I help you today?

0:01:280:01:31

Can you show me how to paint a nice nature picture?

0:01:310:01:34

A nice nature picture, eh? Well...

0:01:340:01:37

Let's have a think...

0:01:370:01:39

This calls for a quick nature walk!

0:01:390:01:42

Follow me, come on!

0:01:420:01:45

Oh, look! A lovely leaf.

0:02:000:02:02

Look at that, Patrick.

0:02:020:02:04

And this has given me a great idea.

0:02:040:02:07

Let's try something!

0:02:070:02:10

Get back to nature and try making this lovely leaf picture.

0:02:100:02:15

It looks fantastic!

0:02:150:02:17

BOTH: Let's make it!

0:02:170:02:19

But first, we need somewhere to make it.

0:02:190:02:22

As well as lovely leaves,

0:02:260:02:28

we'll need some other things from the doodle drawers!

0:02:280:02:32

Hold on to that, Patrick. I'll be back soon!

0:02:320:02:35

A sheet of green card and a plate.

0:02:410:02:45

Now, we also need to find a sponge. I know, let's ask Scraps for help.

0:02:490:02:55

HORN TOOTS

0:02:550:02:57

SCRAPS GIBBERS

0:02:570:02:58

Hello, Scraps!

0:02:580:03:00

I need a sponge, please. Can you help?

0:03:000:03:03

SCRAPS GIBBERS

0:03:030:03:04

Brilliant, thank you!

0:03:040:03:06

SCRAPS GIBBERS

0:03:060:03:07

Yes, I'm ready, Scraps

0:03:070:03:09

SCRAPS LAUGHS

0:03:090:03:11

Very funny. I just need one sponge, please.

0:03:110:03:15

That's it!

0:03:170:03:18

Thank you!

0:03:180:03:19

SCRAPS GIBBERS

0:03:190:03:21

What a catch, eh?

0:03:210:03:23

And we also need some coloured squirty paint!

0:03:280:03:32

So, Patrick, this is what we're going to make today.

0:03:340:03:37

It's a lovely leaf picture. What do you think about that?

0:03:370:03:41

-Nice.

-Nice!

0:03:410:03:43

-I'm glad you're pleased. Are you ready?

-Yes.

-Good.

0:03:430:03:46

Are you ready?

0:03:460:03:48

Great! Let's get making!

0:03:480:03:50

Patrick, you can help me. Here's a plate.

0:03:500:03:53

Can you squirt a blob of each coloured paint on there?

0:03:530:03:56

Squirt away!

0:03:560:03:58

That's it, perfect! Well done, Patrick.

0:04:000:04:03

Our paint is ready, but before we start,

0:04:030:04:07

it's a good idea to put down some newspaper or old paper.

0:04:070:04:10

This can get a bit messy.

0:04:100:04:12

Then bring in a piece of coloured card.

0:04:120:04:15

Now we need a leaf, Patrick. Oh, thanks.

0:04:150:04:18

These leaves will work well because they have wiggly edges.

0:04:180:04:23

I'm going to dab a mixture of the coloured paints - like this.

0:04:240:04:29

All the way around our leaf.

0:04:300:04:32

Then, if we carefully peel away the leaf.

0:04:370:04:40

We see that the shape of the leaf is left behind on the card.

0:04:400:04:45

-It's clever, isn't it?

-Yes.

0:04:450:04:46

-Would you like a go at this, Patrick?

-Yes.

-Excellent.

0:04:460:04:50

I'm going to slide this over to you.

0:04:500:04:52

If you want to pick a leaf, any leaf.

0:04:530:04:56

Pop it down on the page. OK, then.

0:04:560:04:58

Pick up your sponge and dab around the leaf.

0:04:580:05:02

Lift it up...

0:05:120:05:13

and we've got a fantastic leaf print!

0:05:130:05:16

Well done, Patrick!

0:05:160:05:17

We're going to keep moving our leaf around the page

0:05:170:05:21

until our picture is complete.

0:05:210:05:23

Don't worry if the leaf is hanging over the edge. It doesn't matter.

0:05:230:05:27

In fact, it really adds to the effect.

0:05:270:05:30

When you've covered your paper or card in lots of leaf prints.

0:05:310:05:35

You've made a lovely leaf picture!

0:05:350:05:37

If you've enjoyed that there are lots of other ideas you can try.

0:05:370:05:42

How about using lots of blue paint and different shaped leaves.

0:05:420:05:46

Or, try using orange and yellow paint and spikey shaped leaves.

0:05:460:05:51

We made it! And now, Patrick, your home is where the art is!

0:05:510:05:56

-High five!

-Yeah!

0:05:560:05:57

What a fantastic leaf picture! Well done, Patrick!

0:05:570:06:01

Goodbye!

0:06:010:06:02

Ah! It's brilliant being out and about in the maker-mobile.

0:06:020:06:07

There's always so much to see and do!

0:06:070:06:09

LAUGHTER

0:06:090:06:12

What's that noise?

0:06:120:06:14

MUMBLING

0:06:140:06:15

Who could it be?

0:06:150:06:17

ALL: Wheee!

0:06:190:06:22

# I am a shape!

0:06:240:06:26

# I am a shape!

0:06:290:06:30

# I am a circle

0:06:340:06:36

# I am a triangle

0:06:380:06:41

# I am a square

0:06:430:06:45

# I am a rectangle

0:06:480:06:50

# I am a shape

0:06:580:07:00

# I am a shape

0:07:020:07:04

# I am a shape

0:07:070:07:09

# I am a shape

0:07:120:07:14

# I am a circle. #

0:07:210:07:23

What's hiding in the circles?

0:07:230:07:26

Can you guess?

0:07:290:07:31

Have you spotted it?

0:07:360:07:37

It's a caterpillar!

0:07:440:07:47

Well done, Shapes!

0:07:470:07:48

It's time to get back in the doodle drawers!

0:07:480:07:51

Oh, it's such a brilliant day for a lovely drive in the maker-mobile.

0:08:010:08:05

Squawk!

0:08:050:08:07

Minute-make time!

0:08:070:08:08

Hey, it's minute-make time!

0:08:080:08:10

I'm on my way!

0:08:100:08:12

Here we are!

0:08:250:08:27

It's minute-make time, everyone!

0:08:360:08:39

ALL: YEAH!

0:08:390:08:41

All that exercise has made me feel a little bit peckish.

0:08:410:08:45

I think I might have a bite to eat!

0:08:450:08:48

Ah, that's better!

0:08:570:08:59

Now I'm ready for a minute-make! And guess what?

0:09:000:09:03

I'm going to make something using these left-over picnic things!

0:09:030:09:07

Oh! It's a cup puppet!

0:09:070:09:11

Or you could say...

0:09:110:09:12

A cuppet!

0:09:120:09:13

To make one of these, we'll need...

0:09:130:09:16

A paper plate.

0:09:160:09:17

Two paper cups.

0:09:170:09:20

Some sticky tape.

0:09:200:09:21

A glue stick. A pompom.

0:09:210:09:24

And we'll also need some googly eyes.

0:09:240:09:27

You can find those in an arts and crafts shop

0:09:270:09:30

I'll be back very soon!

0:09:300:09:31

Oof! I've got them.

0:09:380:09:39

Right, here they are.

0:09:390:09:42

Our googly eyes.

0:09:420:09:45

Now, do you think it's possible to make this cuppet...

0:09:450:09:49

in just one minute?

0:09:490:09:52

ALL: NO WAY!

0:09:520:09:53

Let's find out. I'm going to have to be very quick.

0:09:530:09:57

Don't worry, I'll remind you how to do it at the end. Ready?

0:09:570:10:01

ALL: YES!

0:10:010:10:02

Are you ready?

0:10:020:10:04

Great! Let's make it in a minute!

0:10:040:10:06

ALL: Three, two, one!

0:10:060:10:09

Start the clock!

0:10:090:10:10

Let's get our paper plate

0:10:100:10:12

and fold it in half so it looks like a mouth.

0:10:120:10:15

Now we need our cups and our googly eyes

0:10:150:10:18

and we're going to glue them inside.

0:10:180:10:20

Let's get plenty of glue on there.

0:10:200:10:23

Put that eye in, there's one that's done.

0:10:230:10:26

Now let's get another googly eye.

0:10:260:10:28

Put plenty of glue on there.

0:10:280:10:30

And put that one in as well.

0:10:300:10:32

Fantastic! Now we need some sticky tape.

0:10:320:10:34

Now stick these two cups together.

0:10:340:10:37

We're going to stick them at the front, there.

0:10:370:10:40

We're also going to stick them at the back.

0:10:400:10:43

Now we need to get our glue stick again

0:10:440:10:47

And put plenty of glue on the top, here.

0:10:470:10:52

Then, put our cups on top.

0:10:520:10:55

Now, we need this to dry, like this.

0:10:550:10:57

You need to do a little dance!

0:10:570:10:59

And when they've dried,

0:11:010:11:03

We can just put in our pompom for a nose.

0:11:030:11:06

And I've made a cuppet!

0:11:060:11:08

ALL: YEAH!

0:11:080:11:11

Ooh, I've made it!

0:11:110:11:13

And you can make all sorts of cuppets!

0:11:130:11:15

Oh! Look at this one!

0:11:150:11:18

It's got long paper eyelashes and tissue paper strips for hair.

0:11:180:11:22

Or, you could try this one.

0:11:220:11:25

With curly paper hair and a paper tongue! Uh.

0:11:250:11:28

Or you could try this one. It's got paper teeth

0:11:280:11:31

and wiggly pipe cleaner hair. Fantastic cuppets!

0:11:310:11:35

Why don't you have a go?

0:11:350:11:37

Here's a reminder of how to do it!

0:11:370:11:39

Let's go back to the beginning and take another look!

0:11:390:11:43

Fold a paper plate in half.

0:11:430:11:45

Glue googly eyes inside two paper cups.

0:11:450:11:49

Tape the cups together, like this.

0:11:490:11:52

Glue the cups onto the plate.

0:11:520:11:55

Push in a pompom nose...

0:11:550:11:57

and your cuppet is finished!

0:11:570:11:59

Why don't you try and make one in a minute?

0:12:020:12:05

Right, I've got to dash!

0:12:050:12:07

Goodbye, Mister Maker!

0:12:070:12:09

Bye bye! Goodbye, everyone!

0:12:090:12:11

ALL: BYE!

0:12:110:12:12

Where shall we go next?

0:12:150:12:18

ALL: Hello, Mister Maker!

0:12:180:12:20

Oh, nice to see you!

0:12:200:12:22

What do you think we're making today?

0:12:220:12:25

Oh, I'm not sure. Let's take a look!

0:12:250:12:27

I am pink!

0:12:300:12:33

I am orange!

0:12:340:12:36

I'm light blue!

0:12:380:12:39

I'm dark blue.

0:12:550:12:57

I'm yellow.

0:12:580:13:00

I am black.

0:13:080:13:09

ALL: It's a bumblebee!

0:13:150:13:17

Well done, everyone! See you soon!

0:13:170:13:19

Now, watch this...

0:13:190:13:21

Ssshhhh! It's time for...

0:13:210:13:24

a big surprise!

0:13:240:13:26

Let's meet some more mini-makers

0:13:280:13:30

who don't know I'm on my way, or what we're going to make.

0:13:300:13:34

Hello!

0:13:340:13:36

Hello!

0:13:360:13:37

ALL: Hello!

0:13:370:13:38

Hello. Are you OK?

0:13:380:13:39

ALL: Yeah.

0:13:390:13:40

Well, it's great to meet you. I've got a big idea.

0:13:400:13:44

-Would you like to hear it?

-ALL: YEAH!

0:13:440:13:46

Fantastic! Get ready.

0:13:460:13:48

Countdown to brilliant big idea, starting in...

0:13:480:13:52

three, two, one!

0:13:520:13:55

Lift off!

0:13:550:13:56

Let's make a brilliant big space rocket!

0:13:560:14:00

Will you help me?

0:14:000:14:01

ALL: YEAH!

0:14:010:14:03

Fantastic! All right, then,

0:14:030:14:05

Tasia, Jessica, Mika, Harry and Shakiah.

0:14:050:14:08

Let's make it!

0:14:080:14:10

-We're going to make a space rocket, aren't we?

-ALL: YEAH.

0:14:100:14:15

-What should it look like?

-It should be blue.

0:14:150:14:18

-What should we use to colour our rockets?

-Pink!

0:14:180:14:21

-Shall we see what colours we've got here?

-We've got blue, pink...

0:14:210:14:26

-Orange.

-We can make the wings red.

0:14:260:14:31

-Yeah.

-The top roof is yellow and the body is blue.

0:14:310:14:36

That sounds like a good plan, doesn't it?

0:14:360:14:39

Now, rockets. Where do they fly to?

0:14:390:14:41

And what is in the sky, in space?

0:14:410:14:45

Stars!

0:14:450:14:47

If we were going to make stars, is there anything twinkly we could use?

0:14:470:14:52

-What's that?

-Glitter.

-Glitter.

0:14:520:14:54

-I think we're ready to make our rocket, aren't we?

-ALL: YEAH!

0:14:540:14:58

Let's make it! Lead the way, Jessica! Let's go.

0:14:580:15:02

I'm painting the smoke that's coming out of the bottom of the rocket.

0:15:040:15:09

And Jessica's painting the windows.

0:15:090:15:13

We are making our stars all glittery.

0:15:150:15:19

BOTH: This way!

0:15:220:15:23

-No, this way!

-No, this way!

-Hang on...

0:15:230:15:26

I'm coming!

0:15:260:15:27

'This tube will make a great rocket!'

0:15:270:15:30

Hello! Where are you? W-W-Where do you want it?

0:15:300:15:34

-Yellow's my favourite colour.

-Is it?

0:15:390:15:41

We're painting the wings the best colour for you then, aren't we?

0:15:410:15:46

We're having great fun making our big rocket!

0:15:490:15:53

So how about you try making a smaller one?

0:15:530:15:57

Try making a brilliant mini space rocket

0:15:580:16:01

Make it, play with it. Have fun with it!

0:16:010:16:03

To make one, you will need...

0:16:030:16:05

An empty tube,

0:16:050:16:07

paint and a brush,

0:16:070:16:09

card, scissors, glue, stickers

0:16:090:16:14

and a black pen.

0:16:140:16:16

Take an empty tube and paint it with two colours of paint.

0:16:160:16:21

Like this.

0:16:230:16:26

Then take a circle of card

0:16:260:16:28

and carefully make a cut up to the middle of it.

0:16:280:16:32

Bend it around to make a cone

0:16:340:16:37

and stick it in place with sticky tape.

0:16:370:16:40

Now stick the cone onto the tube.

0:16:420:16:46

Take some more card

0:16:500:16:51

and cut out two traingle shapes, like this.

0:16:510:16:54

And stick these to the sides of your tube

0:16:550:16:58

Now stick on another circle of card to make a window.

0:17:020:17:06

And add some coloured stickers for decoration.

0:17:100:17:14

Finally, you can finish everything off with a black pen.

0:17:180:17:24

And your mini space rocket is ready for take off!

0:17:240:17:27

Look at it! It's out of this world!

0:17:270:17:31

What a super space rocket!

0:17:330:17:35

Talking of which, how's our big rocket coming along?

0:17:350:17:39

Well, very good! These paper plates look fantastic!

0:17:390:17:42

That's it, Harry, stick it on.

0:17:420:17:45

Brilliant! Have we got any more?
