Let's try something.

Try squirting with ready-mixed paint to make your very own masterpiece.

Here we go, Frankie. We're nearly ready,

but this can get a bit messy, so it's a good idea to do this outside.

It's best if you put on an apron or some old clothes.

We'll be back soon. Come on.

Whoa! Yes, very nice.

Also remember to put down some old paper or some newspaper.

Frankie, this is what we're going to make.

It's a super squirty paint picture.

Use whatever colours of paint you like for this,

but just remember to use paint form squeezy bottles, like this.

-So we're all ready then. Are you ready, Frankie?

-Yeah.

-Great!

Ready? Brilliant! Let's get making.

We've got a nice, clean piece of paper here.

All we need is some paint. Frankie, you can help me here.

-Do you want to pick a colour? Which one shall we go for?

-Blue.

Brilliant! Now I'm going to flip up the lid.

All I'm going to do is aim the paint at the paper and start squirting.

Here we go.

Ha-ha-ha!

Look at that! That's great fun, isn't it?

-Which colour do you think we should go for next?

-Green.

Great. Good choice. Don't worry if the paint squirts off the edges.

That's why we put the old paper down first. One more. That's the pink.

Here we go.

This is great fun and your picture will look fantastic when it's dry.

Frankie, what do you think of our picture?

-It's very good.

-Great! I think we should do another one,

but this time with a really big piece of paper.

We'll also need lots more colours of squirty paint.

Because it's time for a big squirt.

Oh, this is a lovely day for a drive out in the Makermobile, isn't it?

Squawk! Make time!

Hey, it's minute-make time! I'm on my way.

I'm here.

It's minute-make time.

THEY CHEER

I love being out and about,

but the only problem is I have to hang out my washing

wherever the Makermobile takes me.

Here we go, I'll just put this there. Sorry about that.

Just hang that up there. Oh! I tell you what,

this has given me a great idea for a minute make.

We're going to use this clothes peg to make a fantastic peg photo frame.

Look at it! It's great,

and very useful for holding on to your favourite photos.

Now to make one of these, you will need...

a glue stick, some scissors, of course the clothes peg,

a pen, a ball of modelling clay and some coloured card.

Do you think it's possible to make this peg photo frame

in just one minute?

ALL: No way!

I think I can. I'll have to be quick, but don't worry,

I'll remind you how to do it at the end. Ready?

ALL: Yeah!

Are you ready? Great! Let's make it in a minute.

ALL: Three, two, one!

Start the clock.

Let's get some blue card and scissors.

We're going to cut out a wiggly shape.

This will be the water at the bottom of our island.

Be careful with scissors,

-because they are...

-Sharp!

-Right.

There's our water. We get our modelling clay

and we squidge that to make an island.

Now we get our peg and push it upside down

in to the clay. There we go.

Let's get some green card and draw a leaf shape,

like this. There we go, and then cut that out too.

I'm going to go very quick here,

but you can take your time when you've cut this out.

Round there and up there. It's quite fiddly this,

so you might want to ask an adult to help you.

There we go. Let's go round there. If I clear that away,

I've just got enough time to put on some glue onto there

to complete my peg photo frame.

-I did it!

-CHEERING

Phew! I made it. But if you've got more than a minute,

you can add some pen details and little pompom coconuts. Fantastic!

There are other ideas you can try too.

with paper petals and leaves?

Lovely to hold my picture of Granny Maker.

Or even this peg city with two pegs and extra card buildings.

Just right for this busy-looking businessman.

Peg photo frames - why don't you make one?

Here's a reminder of how to do it.

Let's go back to the beginning and take another look.

Cut out a wiggly water shape. Squash a ball of modelling clay on top,

and push in an upside down peg, like this.

Draw a leaf shape and cut it out.

Stick the leaf shape to the front of the peg

and your peg photo frame is finished.

Why don't you try and make on in a minute? I've got to go, everyone.

Mini Makers, this is your captain speaking.

I've got a big idea. I think we should make a big plane.

-Will you help me?

-Yes!

-Fantastic!

All right then, Freya, Finlay, Sam, Abbie and James,

let's make it.

Everybody, we're going to make a big plane.

-What does an aeroplane have on it?

-A propeller.

-Wings.

-Steering wheel.

-What can we make these things out of?

-Cardboard.

-What can we make the steering wheel out of?

-A paper plate.

Would it make a good steering wheel? Have a go.

I think we're ready to make our plane, aren't we?

Yes!

Come on then, let's make it.

I am painting the propeller.

-Hello, Finlay. What are we making here?

-The wheel.

-Great! Put plenty of glue on then.

Shall we stick it on then?

That's it, press it down.

Let's paint the plane's body blue and red.

-So, everyone, have you painted the plane?

-Yeah.

You certainly have, it looks great. Well done.

And now for some fluffy clouds.

THEY GIGGLE

Well done. We're really enjoying making our big plane,

so why don't you try to make a small one.

Try making an amazing, brightly-coloured aeroplane.

Make it, play with it, have fun with it.

To make one you'll need - a piece of cardboard,

coloured paper and tissue paper, a pen, a small lid,

a pencil, scissors, a clean plastic bottle, a cotton reel,

glue, paint and paintbrushes, lolly sticks, and string.

For the plane's wings, draw two big sausage shapes,

and half a sausage shape onto the cardboard.

Next, draw a circle onto the paper by drawing around the plastic lid,

and carefully cut all the shapes out.

Now, cut one of the cardboard sausages in half,

and tape both of the pieces onto the bottle, like this.

Then tape the other big cardboard sausage to the bottom of the bottle,

and stick half a cardboard sausage on top.

Turn over the bottle and tape a cotton reel to the other side

for the wheels.

Cover everything in gloopy glue,

and stick on torn up tissue paper pieces to decorate your plane.

Then leave it to dry.

Next, stick the paper circle to the top of the plane for the cockpit.

And add some details with different coloured paint.

Then take two lolly sticks. Paint them,

and then glue them together to make a cross.

Now stick this to the front of the plane for the propeller.

Last of all, tape a piece of string on top of the plane,

so you can hang it up and play with it.

What a perfect little plane.

But I wonder how our big plane is coming along?

There's a propeller. And who's that?

Hello, Finlay. Let's put the propeller on then.

Oh, round and round and...
