and this has just given me a great idea.

Let's try something.

-Try making a sparkly snow picture

using glitter and flour for a brilliant Christmassy effect.

Let's make it! Now, it's not snowing any more, Connie, but don't worry.

It'll snow in our picture. Oh, that reminds me.

We need somewhere to make it.

Ha-ha! And we'll also need some things from the Doodle Drawers.

We need a pen and some scissors...

..and we also need a sieve and some water.

OK, then, Connie.

Let's make a sparkly snow picture, like this one here.

-Wow, very sparkly and very snowy. Are you ready, Connie?

-Yeah.

-Good.

Are you ready? Fantastic! Let's get making.

Now, first we need three sheets of paper that are the same size.

It looks good if one of them is a dark colour.

This will be our background paper, Connie.

Let's put it to one side, and on the other two sheets of paper,

we're going to do some drawing.

So, on this first piece, let's draw a wavy hill shape.

And we can also draw a Christmas tree shape on top.

There we are. Can you look after that? Thanks very much.

And on the other sheet, we're going to start near the bottom, here.

And I'm going to draw another wavy hill shape,

and on the top of that, let's draw the shape of a snowman.

Now, cut along the lines we've just drawn on both pieces of paper.

-Be careful with scissors, because they are...

-Sharp.

That's right. Let's get cutting, Connie.

Now, we only need the top part of each picture.

Let's put them to one side,

because it's time for us, Connie, to do some mixing.

Could you please put three spoons of flour into a bowl?

Now add a sprinkle of glitter

and give it a stir.

Well done, Connie.

And now, in the other bowl,

we're going to make a very special gloopy mixture

that's made up of half gloopy glue

and half water.

Well done, Connie.

Let's bring back in our background paper

and put our hill and Christmas tree shape on top.

Then cover the Christmas tree and the edge of the hill

in the gloopy glue mixture.

Like this.

And now, we need to use a sieve.

Now, you might want to ask an adult to help you find one.

I need your help again, Connie.

Can you put some mixture in here, please?

And I'm going to sprinkle it

all over...the gloopy glue.

There we go.

Now, if we take off our cut-out hills shape...

Wow! We can see that the floury mixture

has stuck to all the gloopy glue.

Well, Connie, what do we need now?

-A snowman.

-A snowman, of course we do.

So let's carefully place the snowman shape on top and do the same again.

It's time to gently peel away our cut-out shape.

-POP!

-Wow. We've finished.

Now, just leave it to dry and we've made a super, sparkly snow picture.

And you can use sparkly flour

to make all kinds of Christmas pictures.

How about a snowman family, with gold glitter?

Or you could try a sparkly picture of a Christmas cottage.

Sparkly snow pictures are great fun. Why don't you try one today?

Oh, it's Christmas minute-make time!

Happy Christmas! It's Christmas minute-make time, everyone.

And I need something to wear to the Doodle Drawer Christmas party.

Oh, I know. Ha-ha! Look at this!

It's a Christmas reindeer headband.

Look, I look just like Rudolph!

Ooh. O-o-o-h.

Ha-ha-ha-ha!

And we can make one of these in just one minute, by using these things.

Some sticky tack, a pen, a pair of scissors, a headband

and a rectangle of craft foam.

Do you think it's possible to make this

Christmas reindeer headband in just one minute?

No way!

Let's find out. I'll be very quick,

but I'll remind you how to do it at the end. Are you ready?

Yeah!

Are you ready? Brilliant! Let's make it in a minute.

Three...two...one...go!

Start the clock!

The first thing we'll do is get our craft foam and fold it in half

and then draw an antler shape, like this.

Then we'll get some scissors and cut this shape out.

-We need to be careful because they are...

-Sharp!

That's right. This is quite fiddly,

so you might want to ask an adult to help you.

Now, this is going to make a lovely antler shape for us.

And then if you open them out, we've got two lovely antlers.

Let's get our headband, and stick the antlers onto the headband

using sticky tack. One blob on there.

Let's squish that over like that,

and then another blob of sticky tack on that side there

and we can squidge it on

and we've made a Christmas headband!

Yeah!

Phew! I did it, and if you've got more than a minute,

you can add glue or sticky tape to the back of your antlers

to really hold them in place,

and you could try other Christmassy ideas.

What about this Christmas holly headband,

with green sparkly leaves and red pom-poms for berries?

Oh, or you could use pipe cleaners

to make this sparkly snowflake headband.

Ho-ho! Or you could use a sparkly pipe cleaner

and star to make this one.

Wow. It would look great on top of a Christmas tree. Ha-ha!

This is a great idea!

I can go to the Doodle Drawer Christmas party dressed like this.

Christmas headbands, made in a minute.

Why don't you try it?

Here's a reminder of how to do it.

Let's go back to the beginning and take another look.

Fold a piece of craft foam in half, draw on an antler shape,

carefully cut it out to make two antlers.

Stick them on a headband with sticky tack

and your reindeer antlers are finished.

I'm making a Christmas tree.

I'm wrapping presents.

We're making snowflakes.

And here's our Christmas background.

This big surprise has been great fun so far,

so why don't you join in and make your very own Mini Make?

Make your Christmas tree look brilliant

with a super snowman decoration.

You will need kitchen foil, some water, ribbon and a pom-pom,

tissue paper, a bottle top and craft foam, glue and stickers,

a pen and a brush.

First, make a loop with a piece of ribbon

and lay it on the top edge of a piece of kitchen foil.

Tape it in place, like this.

Next, scrunch the kitchen foil up into a ball,

leaving the loop of ribbon hanging out.

Now make a mixture that's half gloopy glue and half water.

Paint the gluey mixture over the foil ball,

and cover it in pieces of tissue paper and leave it to dry.

Next, glue a plastic lid to a circle of craft foam

and stick it onto the decoration to make the snowman's hat.

Now use stickers and a pen to make eyes, like this.

Add more stickers for a smile

and a coloured pom-pom for a nose.

-Your super snowman decoration is finished...

-Hee-hee!

..and ready to hang up.
