I think we CAN make something with it.

But perhaps we should untangle it first.

That's a job for me. I'm brilliant at untangling wool!

Not to worry. Ho-ho! That's better!

This has just given me a great idea.

Let's try something.

Try making a wonderful woolly web picture with a spider in it.

BOTH: Let's make it!

But first, we'll need somewhere to make it.

-Huh!

-Ho-ho! We'll also need some things from the doodle drawers!

Some gloopy PVA glue and a jug of water.

A bowl.

An old tray and some paper.

Pipe cleaners, a paintbrush and some scissors.

I'm looking for a pom-pom.

I know there's one here somewhere. Maybe Scrappz can help.

Oh, good. Scrappz, we're looking for a pom-pom.

It's small, black and fluffy. Have you seen it?

Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Scrappz, it's on the end of your nose!

We'll also need white stickers, a pen and a glue stick.

Let's make a wonderful woolly web picture

like this one here

with a fantastic furry spider on it.

-Harvey, are you ready?

-Ready!

-Brilliant!

Are YOU ready?

Fantastic. Let's get making.

The first thing is to take a bowl,

make a special mixture made up of

half gloopy glue

and half water.

Then, take a brush and get mixing.

Next, we need to cut some long pieces of wool.

We must be careful with scissors as they are...

-Sharp.

-That's right.

Now we need to dip the pieces of wool into our gloopy mixture.

We'll lay them out onto an old tray

in the shape of a spider's web.

All right, Harvey. Get dipping!

Here we go.

Excellent. Can I have another piece, please?

When you're happy with your spider's web, leave it to dry.

This could take a while.

-OK, Harvey. What do we need now?

-A spider.

-That's right.

We can make a spider

by taking four pipe cleaners.

We twist them together,

like that,

and then bend down the ends

like this to make legs.

Now he needs a body.

Can you take a pom-pom, Harvey, and put some glue on it for me?

Nice splodge.

I can squidge on our spider's body.

Excellent!

Our spider needs some eyes now.

Can you take these sticky dots

and draw on some pupils?

Then we'll stick them on our spider.

There's one,

and there's two.

Can you look after our spider

while I get background paper?

We're now going to bring in

our dry spider's web.

Very carefully peel it off the tray...

..then we can glue it onto the background paper,

like this.

Now we need to glue on our spider. There we go.

And stick it onto the web.

There! We've finished a fantastic spider web picture.

You can make all sorts of woolly web pictures.

How about a spotty spider

with a multicoloured web?

Why not try making a brightly coloured spider

with a pom-pom fly and paper wings?

Wonderful woolly web pictures are great fun.

Minute Make Time!

Hey! It's Minute Make Time!

I'm on my way!

Here we are.

It's Minute Make Time, everyone!

ALL: Yay!

Today I'm not just any sort of Makerman.

I'm Supermakerman!

Ha-ha! Look at my superhero cape,

my superhero boots

and my superhero pants.

Not to worry. This superhero outfit needs one more thing.

And that is THIS

superhero wristband.

Look at it. It is SUPER!

If you want to make one of these,

you don't need the cape or the boots.

You don't even need the pants.

But you do need...

these things. Let's have a look.

Some colourful sticky dots.

A strip of sparkly craft foam.

Some other craft foam shapes.

Use whatever shapes you like. We have stars and a big circle.

We also have a glue stick and some sticky tape.

D'you think it's possible to make this superhero wristband

in just one minute?

ALL: No way!

Let's find out.

I'll have to be very quick but don't worry,

-I'll remind you how to do it at the end. Are you ready?

-ALL: Yes!

Are YOU ready? ..Brilliant! Let's make it in a minute!

-ALL: Three, two, one, GO!

-Start the clock!

Let's get our strip of sparkly craft foam

and our circle of craft foam. We put some glue in the middle

and stick it onto the strip.

That looks great!

Let's get our star and put some glue on the back of that

and stick it in the middle of our circle.

We can put on extra decoration with colourful sticky dots.

We can put one there,

and one there,

and one round here. That's three.

They're very sticky! Another one there.

We can put on some other stars.

How about this one at the side?

Let's stick that on and this yellow one, as well. This'll look good.

Let's put some glue onto there and let's stick it on.

Now we need some sticky tape, and if we curl this around into a loop,

we can put on sticky tape and we've made...

-BELL RINGS

-..a superhero wristband!

THEY CHEER

Ha-ha! I did it. Now I can try on my superhero wristband.

It's fantastic!

If you have more than a minute, you could make

a superhero mask held together at the back with a piece of elastic,

and a superhero belt

with some large craft foam letters.

I really feel like a superhero!

Superhero wristbands made in a minute.

Why don't YOU try it? Here's a reminder of how to do it.

Let's go back and take another look.

Glue the big circle to a long strip of craft foam.

Decorate the circle with a craft foam shape,

some stickers,

and glue more shapes along the strip.

Tape the ends together and your superhero wristband is finished.

We should make a big building site with a big dumper truck.

We need to build a big dumper truck. What colour should it be?

Purple.

Yellow and red.

Orange and yellow.

Orange and yellow will be really good colours for our truck.

What could we use to paint onto?

-A cardboard box.

What do use on a truck to steer?

This big surprise has been great fun so far.

Why don't YOU join in and make your very own Mini Make?

Try making a brilliant dumper truck to play with and have fun with.

You'll need paint,

some boxes,

a plastic fruit tray,

glue,

plastic lids,

some foil shapes,

stickers,

a brush and a pen

and sticky tape.

First, take three boxes.

A long flat one and two smaller ones.

Stick them together like this to make the cab and body of your truck.

Next, paint the boxes a nice, bright colour.

Then take four lids and stick two to each side for wheels.

Stick a piece of tape onto the end of the truck.

Make sure some hangs over the edge, like this.

Take the type of small plastic tray fruit and vegetables come in,

and stick it onto the piece of tape so it can tip up.

Now add some details with plastic lids,

foil shapes,

stickers,

and you can even add extra details with the pen.

Your terrific truck is ready to fill up and play with.

What a terrific little truck.
