FA Cup Behind the Scenes! MOTD Kickabout

Hello, Kickabout fans.

Alex here with your Saturday

morning footie fix.

I am really excited

because we have a packed show today

to help kick-start your weekend.

This week saw one of the biggest

shocks in the FA Cup history.

We have all the action on the

European stage to look back on.

And let me just catch my breath

because there is also

all of this to forward to...

We reveal which former

Arsenal superstar won this

What a game that was, by the way.

First, though, let's check out

the big stories this week.

This week saw the draw for

the women's FA Cup quarterfinals.

The holders, Manchester City,

travel to fellow top-flight side

Sunderland, whilst Chelsea face

a tough test against Liverpool.

And my Arsenal side host Charlton,

the lowest ranked side

remaining in the cup.

Thursday night saw Arsenal claim

a place in the last 16

of the Europa League.

But it wasn't to be for Celtic as

they were unfortunately knocked out.

In the last 16 of the Champions

League, Willian put on an impressive

display for Chelsea in their tie

against Barcelona as his goal

put the Blues ahead.

But they couldn't quite

hang onto that win.

No surprise it was that guy

Messi Who levelled with a crucial

away goal to finish 1-1.

Elsewhere, Bayern Munich won 5-0,

Shakhtar Donetsk came

from behind to beat Roma 2-1,

and Manchester United claimed

a goalless draw at Sevilla.

Thanks largely to David De Gea's

stunning first-half

save on the stroke of half-time.

Some serious heroics

in there from De Gea.

Something that Manchester United

fans Charlie and Oliver will have

been very relieved to see

as we check out the first

of your footie photos this week.

They are both huge fans of the Reds

and they are captured

here behind the scenes

in the Old Trafford dressing room.

Arlo was really proud to win

the best player trophy from his half

term holiday course.

Well done, Arlo.

Here is Freya cheering on the Eagles

against Everton earlier this month.

You will definitely like that one.

And Joshua is a massive Chelsea fan.

He plays football for both

the Little League and Sutton United.

Tom won man of the match

after scoring a hat-trick

for his local team.

And finally look at the

concentration on George's face here.

As he cheers on his team, Brighton,

in their 3-1 win over

Coventry last weekend.

I bet your favourite player,

Bruno, loved that support.

And George will be hoping

the Seagulls can replicate that win

today in their match

against Swansea.

It is a massive game for both teams

as they look to avoid

the relegation zone.

Elsewhere, the late kick-off sees

Watford welcome the Toffees.

It is the tenth time these two have

met in the Premier League

with the Hornets winning just once.

That is an impressive record

for Everton, and one that I am sure

goalkeeper Jordan Pickford will be

hoping remains intact

after today's match.

The Blues shot stopper

is tipped by many to become

a future England number one,

and we caught up with him recently

to ask your questions.

a big Everton fan.

I am a goalkeeper currently

on trial for Preston North

End and I was wondering

if you could give me

a few tips to improve

as a goalkeeper, please?

Hi, Lewis, I hope you are well.

To become a better goalkeeper,

with a couple of tips,

I would say keep practising

and working hard day in and day out

and enjoy it as well.

That is how you will get better.

there was quite fantastic.

I will take either one really.

But if I get the chance to play

for England in the World Cup

and save the winning penalty,

that would be perfect.

forward to tomorrow as well.

First up, be sure to expect goals

as Palace host Spurs at midday.

Why, I hear you say?

Because the Eagles have kept just

Premier League London derbies.

Then, there is a big

game at Old Trafford

as Manchester United

take on Chelsea.

The current champions

have a brilliant record

as Jose Mourinho's men have lost

more Premier League games

and conceded more goals

against the Blues than any other

side in the competition.

The game also sees two former

team-mates up against each other.

And that is these guys.

We will have to wait and see

who comes out on top

during the actual match.

on to the FA Cup, as last weekend

saw some fantastic ties as teams

battled for a place

in the quarterfinals.

We'll take a look at some

of the best goals from those

encounters very soon.

But before that, here's how Ben got

on behind the scenes at one

of the standout ties

on Monday night.

I am here at the DW Stadium

for tonight's FA Cup match.

League 1's Wigan Athletic

and Premier League table

toppers Manchester City.

It is five years since the two sides

met in the 2013 FA Cup final,

but what a win for Wigan

that was, a team battling

against relegation pulling

off the ultimate shock

against their superstar opponents.

The big theme throughout that

cup final was believe.

But can the team

believe again tonight?

This is where the action will be

taking place very shortly,

and Wigan fans will be well aware

of the talent that their team

is facing tonight.
