Premier League Schools Tournament Draw MOTD Kickabout

Hello, Kickabout fans.

Ben here with your Saturday morning

fix of footy action.

And we've got to start by talking

about the January transfer

window, which finally

closed on Wednesday.

Premier League clubs spent a record

£150 million on deadline day,

taking the total for the months

to a whopping £430 million.

This week saw some massive deals

for Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and

Swansea, with Aubameyang

transmit joining the

Gunners from Borussia Dortmund,

Tottenham signing Lucas Moura,

Olivier Giroud joining

the Blues, and Andre Ayew

making his way back to his old club.

As well as transfer

deals there's midweek Premier

League action to catch up on.

The draw for the next

round of the FA

Cup, plus all of this

coming up on today's show.

We chat exclusively to

Leicester City superstars Christian

Fuchs and Kelechi Iheanacho.

Ahead of one of the biggest sporting

events in the world, the Super Bowl,

we challenge these top American

footballers to take

on the Hat-trick Challenge.

And Huddersfield's Danish defender

Zanka answers your questions.

Three Premier League

footballers, two NFL

superstars, that is one cracking

show we have lined up.

Let's start by looking

at the big stories in the

footy world this week.

The draw for the next

round of the FA Cup took

place on Monday, and there are some

great ties to look forward to.

Premier League leaders

City visit League 1

table toppers Wigan, in a repeat

of the 2013 FA Cup final,

which Wigan won 1-0.

Pep's men beat Cardiff

in the last round to make it

through, while the Latics

pulled off a giant-killing

by defeating my boys,

Premier League West Ham United.

Elsewhere, after beating Yeovil,

Man United will travel to either

Huddersfield or Birmingham, while

Chelsea host Hull after putting

three past Newcastle.

The lowest ranked team

left is leaked to

Newport County, who earned a replay

against Spurs at Wembley after the

fantastic 1-1 draw.

This week saw a full

round of Premier League

fixtures, with Manchester City

moving 15 points clear at the top,

with victory over West Brom.

Local rivals United

slipped up, as Spurs

beat them 2-0 with a goal

after just 11 seconds,

while Liverpool moved up to third,

with victory against

Huddersfield.

Elsewhere, Bournemouth and Swansea

both pulled off shock wins

with the Swans beating Arsenal

and the Cherries putting

three past defending

champions Chelsea.

What a result that

was for Bournemouth.

There is no slowing down for any

of the Premier League

teams this weekend with more games

coming thick and fast.

The late kick-off sees

Walcott return to

his old club, when Everton face

the Gunners at the Emirates.

But can Theo bag against

his old team-mates?

There is a massive game

at Anfield on Sunday,

as Liverpool welcome Spurs,

and the match was the subject

of this week's Top Tekkers vote.

face a big test at Old

Trafford.

above the relegation zone, but if

Who's the best player you have

ever played against?

The best player I have ever

played against the Lionel

Messi at Barcelona, when I played

him in the Champions League.

My name is Jamie.

I'm a huge Huddersfield Town fan.

This is my question for you.

At what age did you realise

you wanted to be a

footballer and what top tip would

you give to anybody who wants to get

into the game?

Hi, Jamie.

I think I've always

wanted to be a football

player.

Maybe around 15 years of age,

I realised it was a goal that I

could actually reach.

Good advice from me would be

just always do your

best, and there will be times

which feel really hard,

but you've just got to stick to it.

I sing at the match from the stands.

Does the singing make

you play better?

Ollie, the singing definitely

makes me play better.

It just makes you feel

better, makes you feel

stronger, being able to run fast

and all these things.

Now, the Premier League

Schools Tournament is back

this year, offering the chance

for hundreds of youngsters

to experience life as a top-flight

footballer, and

every club is represented, with more

than 1400 schools and 11,000 players

battling it out to play

in the finals, which this year take

place at the King Power Stadium.

John was therefore

kickabout last week to

beat Leicester superstars Christian

Fuchs and Kelechi Iheanacho as they

did the draw for this

year's tournament.

The Premier League Primary Stars

football tournament will take place

at the King Power Stadium

on the 23rd of May, and will see

all of Premier League clubs

represented by

an under 11s mixed

and under 11s girls team.

Inside at the moment

are all the players from

three local schools who will be

competing in the tournament heats up

Leicester City.

A chance to represent the Foxes

at the finals in May.

What they don't know

is there going to be joined by two

Leicester City superstars.

Here come Leicester again!

gets across, puts

his body on the line

and makes the blog.

facing each other in this

year's tournament.

football tournament.

Guys, how do you feel

about the draw today?

Exciting.

I mean, I think Leicester is a group

that can definitely beat

the teams there,

and go for the trophy.

What is it like playing

in a stadium like this?

Some of them may have

that experience.

It's amazing.

With our fans especially.

It's amazing to play

in all the stadiums in the

Premier League.

Week in, week out, great

atmosphere, and I'm happy for

the kids that they can

show their talent,

especially showing the

talent on that stage

and that stadium.

Is there one piece of advice you can

give to the children that may

go on to play in the final?

I would just say, keep

working hard, keep

dreaming.

Keep doing what you're doing,

enjoying it, keep working

hard for your dream,

and eventually it comes true.

It's not only going to that,

but that is a base.

How would it feel to

you playing out there?

It will be incredible.

If I went there,

I wouldn't even be able

to blink because I would just

want to take it all in.

It is a team effort to get

to represent Leicester, but

we have to make one step at a time.

If we win, it would just be

the best day of my life

because playing on there,

where all the players have played,

that would just be amazing.

What a day we have had

here at the King Power Stadium.

The children are excited,

but I cannot wait for this

tournament to start in May.
