Hey, hello there, Tiddlers. This is a nice surprise.

Mr Bloom here, and when I'm not gardening,

I like to go out and about.

Meeting up with you Tiddlers,

finding out what you're up to, cos you do all sorts.

Some of you like to go swimming.

Others might prefer to visit a castle

or even go to a holiday club.

And this is a lovely, colourful kite.

I'd love to have a kite of my own.

Why don't you make yourself one?

Well, I don't know how to make my own kite.

Righto, Dad. What do we have to do?

OK, the first thing we've got to do

is fold the flaps over and stick them with some tape.

I see, so we've got a frame made out of sticks and string

and we're sticking this material to it.

That's right. Foldy, foldy.

Oh, yeah, that's sticky.

Let's see how it looks.

-That's all right. Shall we give it a blow?

-Yeah.

Oh, it's catching the wind.

Ah, so now we're tying on the string.

And then, on go these pretty ribbons.

Right, so, we've got our ribbon on our kite. What we doing next, Dad?

We're going to add bows to the ribbon to give it some weight.

Let's wrap this around here, and wrap it round here.

These kites are going to look pretty awesome

when they're flying around in the sky.

I reckon our kites are looking pretty swish. What do you think?

It looks beautiful.

Yeah. We've still got loads of stuff left. There's loads of ribbon.

Hey, look at those kites go.

-Ooh, there goes my Route Finder.

Oh, it looks like it's going to show us a little bit more about kites.

Kites can come on lots of different shapes and sizes.

Look at these kites twirling in the air.

There are kites shaped like flying birds

or big colourful dragons.

By pulling the strings, these people are making their kites do tricks.

Whoo! Now that looks like fun.

Look at that. There's loads of different kites.

All sorts of colours and I'll tell you what, if I was a kite,

I'd go flying up there and be saying hello to all the birds.

-So, Hawa, what's next?

-We look after the park.

How do we do that?

We're going to make sure the park's nice, clean and tidy.

-Ooh, sounds good to me.

-Come on, Mr Bloom, we'll show you.

All right, then, Saffy, you lead on.

-Now, Saffy, who's this?

-This is Paul, the park ranger.

-Hello Paul the park ranger.

-Hello, Mr Bloom.

Now, what type of things does a park ranger do, Isa?

They pick up litter and look after the park.

That's a very important job, isn't it?

-Yeah.

-And is there anything that we can do to help look after the park?

Help pick up litter.

-We could help him pick up litter.

-And plant seeds.

We could plant seeds,

that's right up my street cos I love planting seeds.

So, Paul, do you need a hand with the park today?

Yes. Do you want to be rangers for the day?

All: Yeah!

Yeah, we'd love to be rangers. And one, and two...

Rangers have to wear special jackets

and must always put on gloves to keep their hands safe.

So, we've got our gloves and jackets

but what are we going to need to pick up the litter?

ALL: Litter pickers!

Yeah, we need litter pickers. That's right. So, you pass that to Isa.

Isa, you pass that down to the end.

-So, shall we go and pick some litter?

-ALL: Yeah!

OK, let's go.

-Right, come on, Isa. What can we find? Oh, look.

-Found one.

You've got a plastic. Let's pop it in here.

If somebody has litter, they should put it in the bin,

-not put it on the floor.

-Yeah. That's so right.

Hey, Tiddlers, look. We've done all that litter picking.

Paul, is it all right to leave this with you?

Yes, certainly. Thank you.

So, we tidied up this part of the park.

What could we do next, Saffy?

We could scatter some seeds on the ground

and then make them grow into beautiful flowers by watering them.

Sounds good. All right, see you later, Paul.

-So, Hawa, what have you got there?

-I've got poppy seeds.

They're one of my favourites. Hold out your hands.

Take a pinch, sprinkle, and it's like it's raining seeds.

Paul is happy for our seeds to be scattered here.

But we must only plant seeds or flowers if a grown-up says it's OK.

-How many poppies do you think we'd get growing here?

-1,000.

Yeah, cos there's so many seeds.

So, the seeds are all scattered, Tiddlers.

-What do you reckon we should do now, Hawa?

-I think we should water them.

Yeah. Are they going to be thirsty?

All right, let's get our watering cans.

They'll be very thirsty, these seeds.

-I think that's a good job.

-We've got some more seeds here, Mr Bloom.

Well, I could put these in my log book

and that'll help me remember our lovely day together.
