Hey! Hello there, tiddlers. It's nice to see you.

Mr Bloom here. I'm just cleaning up the garden

before I head off on my travels.

I'm going to be going here and there

to find out what you like to do.

I've heard some of you like to ride your scooter in the park

or, maybe, help out in the garden.

And, some of you, you might even be a member of an exciting club.

Oh, there goes my Route Finder.

Let's see who wants to get in touch.

I like visiting the waterfalls - it's very noisy.

It's going very fast, isn't it, Mum?

-Especially on that side. Do you see that?

-Oh, yes.

It looks like a big wave machine.

-Dad, there's a bee up there.

-Oh, yes.

-I like watching the buzzy bees in my garden.

-Another one there, look.

-And there's another one there.

-And another one. Oh, yeah.

-And there!

I like planting with my mum.

Pink flowers are my favourite.

-Do you reckon the bees are going to come to this one?

-Yeah.

-Yeah?

-There's so much to see where we live!

Eh, it's proper lovely round here, isn't it?

And I reckon I'll find loads of things for my logbook.

The only thing I need to find now are those tiddlers.

I wonder where they are.

-ALL:

Hey! There they are! I found the tiddlers!

It's Branwen, Tamzyn and Tegid!

-Hello there, tiddlers! Hello, Mums and Dads.

Well, I can see why you wanted to invite me to this waterfall

because it looks beautiful, doesn't it?

-So does this waterfall have a special name?

-Fairy falls.

-Fairy falls.

-We need to listen to the fairies.

Well, shall we all be quiet?

Let's see if we can see and hear some, yeah?

Let's have a look up the top there, at the top of the waterfall.

Can you see anything?

I don't think so, although there might be.

Hey, did you hear that? Down there! Just by the rock pool.

-Oh!

-Oh, I can't see.

-Fairy clothes.

-Oh, it might have been something.

It was very quick though.

Some people say the fairies have got these tiny little wings

-so they can fly off really fast.

-These look like fairies' wings.

Hey, good find.

You know what? We could put them in my logbook to remind us of our trip.

-Yeah! We have somewhere else that we want to show you.

-Oh, is that so?

Right, well, lead on.

-Wow! Look at this house, tiddlers. It's a bit special, in't it?

-Yeah.

-Look at these rocks.

-Some are big, some small,

and they're all sticking out.

Yeah, very sticky-outy. What's this house called, Tamzyn?

-The ugly house.

-The ugly house?

-I think it looks nice.

-Aye.

It looks different from everybody else's house.

Yeah, I agree with you, Tegid. I don't think it's ugly.

So, why is this called the ugly house, Branwen?

Because it was made with big boulders. Big, ugly boulders.

-Yeah, it's not very neat and tidy, is it?

-No.

Why else is the ugly house special, Tegid?

They have bees and they make honey.

That's very important

-because bees do lots of special jobs in the garden.

-Yeah.

-And how do they help them, Tamzyn?

-They grow wild flowers.

That sounds up my street! Shall we do some planting?

-ALL:

-Yeah!

-Yeah, let's help the bees! This way!

-Eh, Branwen, who's this?

-This is Lisa.

-Hello, Lisa.

-Hello! Hiya, everyone.

Right, let's help those bees and get planting.

We've got a lot of different flowers here, tiddlers.

We've got some wild basil, and what have you got down there?

This one, this is a primrose, and that flowers in the spring.

When the bees find all these flowers that we planted, what will they do?

They take the nectar back to the hive.

Yeah, and then they turn it into honey.

You can help the bees by planting some wildflowers

where you can with your mums and dads.

Right, these plants, they're looking good to me.

-What shall we do next?

-Let's make labels for the flowers.

-Nice idea.

-Well, it's just as well we've got so raincoats handy, isn't it?

-Yeah.

Because the weather has taken a turn for the worst.

We've got some rain.

Oh, but these drawings are coming on a treat.

I think I'm going to draw a little cheeky carrot.

Brilliant! Well, we've got our plants and we've got our labels.

-Well done, tiddlers. The bees'll be happy with that.

-Yeah.

I think it's time I got a closer look at these bees.

But, first, I need to put a special bee suit on

to stop me getting stung.

The bees here live in wooden boxes called beehives.

Look at all these bees! There's thousands of them! Look!

This is where the bees make their honey.

Yeah, we won't take all of it, just a little bit.

So, what are we doing next, Lisa?

Well, you can see that there is a wax capping on top of here,

so the honey is not going to come out

unless we cut that wax capping off.

Wow! Can you see the honey dribbling out?

I think it looks like cheese, but like you're chopping cheese.

-And it's really slimy...

-Yeah.

-..like melted cheese.

-Yeah.

Oh, it's the Route Finder. And, you know what?

I think it wants to tell us more about our buzzy friends. Look!

Bees get their food from flowers - it's called nectar and pollen.

Once a bee's found some good nectar and pollen,

she goes back to the hive and tells the other bees about it.

She does this by performing a funny dance. Oh, look at her go!

It's called a waggle dance.

She's waggling her body in a figure of eight shape.

The way she dances shows the other bees where the flowers are.

Oh, would you look at that!

They're very clever, those bees.

And did you like their dance?

I thought it was great. Shall we do the waggle dance?

That's right, Tamzyn! Oh, yes, Tegid, wiggle waggle!

Ha-ha!

-Right, so what we doing next, Lisa?

-We're going to spin the honey out.

-Turning the handle makes the machine spin.

-That makes me feel dizzy.

The spinning makes the honey come out of the frame.

Wow! So where do you think the honey's gone, tiddlers?

-ALL:

-Right to the bottom.

-All the way to the bottom?

It's very heavy. Hey! Here it comes!

-It looks like gold.

-It Looks like treasure.

-Yeah.

-Golden treasure.

Is that nice? How does that taste?

It tasted really sweet.

Mm! Oh, that is some yummy honey. Did you like that?

-ALL:

-Yeah!

-Oh, that were right lovely, Lisa. Thank you.

So, I reckon, I could put this little bee in there.
