You know what? I've been thinking,

all my plants and Veggies in my nursery,

they're always giving us delicious things to eat, aren't they?

So, how about we say thank you to my Veggies and plants

by giving them something nice in return?

-Yes!

-WHISTLE BLOWS

-Ooh! Shall we see what he's got for us?

-Yeah.

-OK.

Hello, hello, hello.

What have we got here? I think Compo's trying to tell us something.

Come on, tiddlers. This way.

Now, these are nettles, OK? But you have to be very careful with nettles

because if you get too close, and you touch them,

-they can give you a nasty sting.

-I got stung by one.

Have you been stung by a nettle before?

-It was on my finger.

-On your finger! I tell you what, tiddlers,

if your really, really careful it's possible to make nettle tea!

ALL: Blurgh!

Oh, well that might not sound very nice to you and me,

but to plants and Veggies, nettle tea, it's a tasty treat.

It's full of nourishing goodness. That's a great way

to say thank you to my plants.

Right then, tiddlers. I'm going to put on these protective gloves

to keep me safe. Why don't you take this bucket over to Compo

and fill it up with some water? Can you do that?

-ALL: Yeah!

-There you go, then.

Right.

That's brilliant, tiddlers. Well done.

Now, all we need to do is to take these nettles and pop them

in that tub of water.

So, I'll carefully put these nettles in here. Stand back!

There we go.

And now I'll weigh the leaves down, and fasten the lid.

So, that's where the bin bag comes in, isn't it?

So, let's put that over the top.

Now, how long do you think we're going to have to leave it

before it's ready to be used as nettle tea?

-10 or 15 minutes?

-Well, might be a bit of a surprise to you

that this tea will take, oh, about,

three weeks before it's ready to drink.

Luckily I've got some nettle tea over there that's ready.

So, shall we wait here for three weeks,

or shall we go and get that lot?

ALL: Go and get that lot.

Alright. You lead the way.

Here it is, tiddlers. Right, let's see if it's ready, shall we?

Oh, my goodness me! Oh dear. Have a smell of that, tiddlers.

ALL: Urgh!

-Can you smell it from there, Jack?

-I can't.

-My goodness.

-Urgh!

Now, would you guys like a cup of this to drink?

ALL: No!

-Is that water?

-This is nettle tea.

What we have to do is, we have to pour some nettle tea

-into your watering cans. So, hold up your watering cans.

-Urgh!

Ha ha! OK. Oh, we're being very brave, aren't we?

Ha, ha. Hold your nose if it's too much.

-Right, tiddlers.

-TIDDLERS GIGGLE

There's your delicious, lovely, nettle tea.

ALL: Eeeew!

Hold on to your watering can. Hold on to them, tiddlers.

Jack, here's an extra special big helping, just for you.

-There we go.

-Eeew!

Right. Oh, dear me. The plants are going to love this.

And, so it's not too strong for my plants,

the last thing to do is to make this tea much weaker,

by adding lots of water, and that's just the thing that will give

my Veggies and my plants a little boost

and make them feel really good.

It's a really nice way of saying thank you for all their hard work.

Because you should always say thank you

when someone does something nice for you, shouldn't you?

-ALL: Yeah!

-So, tiddlers, do you know what time it is?

ALL: Tea time!

That's right! It's time for tea! Come on.

That's the last of them, tiddlers. Well done!

And thank you too, Compo, for giving us the idea

to make nettle tea in the first place.

There seems to be something wrong with Compo.

Yes. Either that, or it's a very quiet disco.

Something wrong with Compo?

-He was very helpful when we were working outside, wasn't he?

-Yeah.

He was being very helpful. And we just fed him up nice and full.

So I don't know what the matter is with him.

He was working fine before, getting everything ready for us.

Ooh, yes, I can see he's been working hard for you. Look.

He's all covered in dirt and dust.

We just told Compo to play the music for us and nothing happened.

Nothing happened?

Well not quite nothing. He went, 'Pfffft!'

Then all the lights went off.

-That doesn't sound like Compo, does it, tiddlers?

-No.

I'll tell you what, shall we see if we can get to play some music?

-Yeah.

When the Tiddlers asked Compo nicely

to play some music, he played music straight away, didn't he?

But then, when you told him to play music, nothing happened!

-Not quite nothing. He did go...

-Alright Raymond! We got that.

Have any of you guys got any ideas why Compo's not working properly?

Maybe because they haven't said "please?"

Eh, now there's a thought. Very good Lily. What about you Jack?

Because they didn't say "thank you."

We were so excited, we forgot our manners.

Hey, listen! All of you.

It's OK, I'm sure you didn't do it on purpose.

The thing is, Compo does so many useful

things for us, that sometimes, it's quite easy to take him for granted.

Compo's sad, so now I'm sad.

It's not too late to make it up with Compo!

Perhaps we can make something extra-special and give it to him

to say thank you and show that we don't take him for granted.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Maybe we can do a picture of him?

-Maybe we could give him a present?

Well, I got a lovely new hairstyle for the disco,

that made me feel very special.

Compo is looking a bit dirty and dusty.
