Morning guys, I'm Ricky and this is your Friday Newsround. | :00:12. | :00:14.
First up, it's the end of the summer holidays. | :00:15. | :00:17.
Some of you will already be back at school, some of you will be | :00:18. | :00:20.
But there's one thing that many of you may have encountered | :00:21. | :00:25.
The back to school uniform photograph. | :00:26. | :00:27.
Some of your parents just love to take that photo on your first day | :00:28. | :00:40.
back and many share it on their social media. | :00:41. | :00:43.
We went to a school in Scotland to find out just what some parents | :00:44. | :00:46.
are up to and what you really think about it. | :00:47. | :00:50.
My mum posted a picture on Facebook of me in my school uniform | :00:51. | :00:53.
on the first day of school and I didn't mind that | :00:54. | :00:58.
because I think it shows that she's proud of me. | :00:59. | :01:01.
I know my mum's account is private, but I still worry about it | :01:02. | :01:07.
because I don't know who her friends are. | :01:08. | :01:09.
My mum and dad care about their privacy, | :01:10. | :01:11.
about the privacy of us, so they don't really post | :01:12. | :01:13.
pictures of me and my little brother on Facebook, | :01:14. | :01:15.
My parents don't post pictures, but my auntie does and I don't | :01:16. | :01:21.
like it cos I don't know who her friends are. | :01:22. | :01:23.
So some parents do post this photo, some don't. | :01:24. | :01:27.
But the big question is, should they have to ask your permission? | :01:28. | :01:30.
I think they do have to ask for our permission | :01:31. | :01:32.
because if they put a picture on that you don't like, | :01:33. | :01:36.
then it's not really fair on you that you've got a picture | :01:37. | :01:38.
I think on a safety aspect if there's other | :01:39. | :01:43.
children in the picture, their parents should be notified | :01:44. | :01:46.
before the children get tagged in it. | :01:47. | :01:52.
If it's a good picture, they can just post without asking. | :01:53. | :01:55.
I don't think they need to ask permission because it's your parents | :01:56. | :01:59.
and they're the boss of you, so they can do what they want. | :02:00. | :02:04.
I do think they should ask at times if it's, like, | :02:05. | :02:07.
So there's mixed opinions about this, but what advice | :02:08. | :02:11.
would you give to parents who want to take and share | :02:12. | :02:14.
Make sure you ask your child before you post a photo on social media. | :02:15. | :02:20.
I think you should ask a kid's permission before | :02:21. | :02:22.
All parents should let their children choose the picture | :02:23. | :02:27.
Let me see the picture before you post it. | :02:28. | :02:34.
Make sure you think about your privacy settings before you post. | :02:35. | :02:37.
Think about how you would feel if your parents did it to you. | :02:38. | :02:41.
You know us well enough to know you should ask. | :02:42. | :02:44.
And we want to hear from you on this one. | :02:45. | :02:46.
How do you feel about your parents sharing that first day | :02:47. | :02:49.
Maybe you love it, maybe you hate it! | :02:50. | :02:52.
Next up, a little question for you - who won The X Factor last year? | :02:53. | :03:01.
It was Matt Terry - how soon we forget! | :03:02. | :03:04.
So what changes can we expect to the new series when it | :03:05. | :03:07.
The favourites are back for 2017 - Sharon, Louis, Nicole and Simon. | :03:08. | :03:19.
BGT's Alesha Dixon is said to make a couple of appearances as a guest | :03:20. | :03:23.
Acts will perform more original songs and joke acts | :03:24. | :03:29.
Live weekend shows are cut from ten to six. | :03:30. | :03:35.
Acts will be voted off on both Saturdays and Sundays. | :03:36. | :03:38.
Simon Cowell has said that the jukebox feature | :03:39. | :03:41.
is gone and the six-chair challenge has returned. | :03:42. | :03:47.
The X Factor finale has moved so that it will not | :03:48. | :03:50.
clash with Strictly, but the rest of the shows | :03:51. | :03:52.
We'll find out in the coming months which changes creator | :03:53. | :03:58.
In Houston, Texas, people are still dealing with the huge | :03:59. | :04:11.
As well as people, pets need help, too, and Newsround has been to see | :04:12. | :04:15.
what's being done to help animals who've lost their homes or been | :04:16. | :04:18.
Hey, it's not just people sheltering here at the convention centre, | :04:19. | :04:25.
it's their four-legged friends as well. | :04:26. | :04:27.
He is a dog in Houston who tried to ride out | :04:28. | :04:34.
But then on Monday the water started to come all the way into his house | :04:35. | :04:39.
His friend Doctor Kitty right here at the convention centre | :04:40. | :04:43.
has a picture of him in the local paper escaping. | :04:44. | :04:45.
When dogs like Skip come here, what sort of services do they get? | :04:46. | :04:48.
They get the same care that their owners get, | :04:49. | :04:51.
food, water, shelter, medical care, vaccines | :04:52. | :04:52.
They are allowed to stay with their owners. | :04:53. | :05:01.
We give them crates and leashes so they are not taken | :05:02. | :05:03.
away from their owners when they get here. | :05:04. | :05:05.
We have people come and help them be walked. | :05:06. | :05:09.
Make sure they are getting fed, all that stuff. | :05:10. | :05:11.
One of the interesting things I have read is there is now a priority | :05:12. | :05:15.
placed on getting pets out of these disaster zones with their owners. | :05:16. | :05:18.
It has been amazing to see the efforts placed on getting | :05:19. | :05:22.
animals out with their people and we know that we have saved | :05:23. | :05:25.
probably countless lives, not just the animals but the people. | :05:26. | :05:27.
Because for many of these people here this is their only family. | :05:28. | :05:30.
Their four-legged friends are there only family and they are not going | :05:31. | :05:34.
to abandon them. We have saved hundreds of people's lives as well | :05:35. | :05:37.
as animals and made sure they are led to come with them and stay with | :05:38. | :05:42.
them. We talked to his owner and they are going to try to go back | :05:43. | :05:46.
tomorrow. In the meantime he is happy to be here in a warm place to | :05:47. | :05:48.
stay and a meal treats. # Dibby, dibby, dibby, dibby, | :05:49. | :06:05.
dibby, dibby sound # Dibby, dibby, dibby... # | :06:06. | :06:07.
Are you ready? # Dibby, dibby, dibby, | :06:08. | :06:09.
dibby, dibby, dibby sound # Shout it out, | :06:10. | :06:12.
put up your hands high | :06:13. | :06:15. |
