First on Newsround, Britain's Geraint Thomas has won

the first stage of the Tour de France in Dusseldorf, in Germany.

Watch out for the flashes.

The Team Sky rider clocked 16 minutes four seconds,

to take the yellow jersey.

Geraint said it was a childhood dream.

Last night's explosive episode of Doctor Who

wasn't just the end of the series, it was also the end

of Peter Capaldi's time as the 12th Doctor.

There are hints that the next Doctor could be a woman so who do

you think it should be?

Tennis championship Wimbledon starts tomorrow.

George and Charlotte's mum, The Duchess of Cambridge,

will also start her new role as Patron of the Tennis Club.

She's been talking about her first memories of Wimbledon.

The first chance of going was queueing up on I think

it was People's Sunday or People's Monday, I think,

and being able to go into Wimbledon.

Be part of what is an amazing event, whether you're sitting

on Henman Hill or being fortunate enough to be in, and just

wander around the courts.

It's hugely special.

I was pretty fortunate that I managed to get to see some.

Now to the school kids in Australia, who are helping

to save rare earless dragons.

Getting up close with dragons at school.

While these little creatures definitely don't breathe fire, they

are one of the world's rarest reptiles.

And this is what an earless dragon looks like.

Everybody in Australia knows who Kim Kardashian is.

But I don't think there's many people that recognise a

grassland earless dragon.

These guys are critically endangered because of

things like farming and overdevelopment,

which has destroyed a lot of their habitat in Australia.

That's why researchers have asked to schoolkids to make life-size

models of the lizards, which will be put

out into dragon habitats.

Then they'll be monitored to see which

predators eat them.

The models are made from clay, so any attacks made

on the models we should be able to see.

Indents, bends in the models will be an indication that they were

attacked by a predator.

Researchers say the study will figure out the

safest places for earless dragons to live, so they can start to

rebuild the population of these incredible creatures.

Finally, it's been an exciting time for people living

in Olten, in Switzerland

because the World Office Chair Championships have

been taking place there.

Adults compete in crash helmets and knee pads,

some in fancy dress, to be crowned champion

and win about ?300.

Obviously not one to try at home.
