of wintry weather it's been.

After some serious snow

there are now met office weather

warnings about ice across much

of the UK.

But here's how they deal

with it in the Netherlands!

Amsterdam's famous canals have

frozen right over so everyone's

getting their skate on!

This guy's even on his skateboard!

But seriously this is NOT something

you should try here,

these canals have been checked out

and declared safe by the people

in charge of the city.

All the biggest movie stars

are getting ready to celebrate

the best films this year.

But who's going to

celebrate the worst?

Well that's the job of the razzies!

The golden raspy award winners have

been determined.

Yep it's the trophy no

actor wants to get.

The Razzies are mock awards that

take place every year before

the more serious and well sought

after Oscars happen,

and are chosen by 1,000 movie fans

from more than 26 countries.

This years biggest winner,

can I have a drumroll please is...

I am never eating candy ever again.

High five, don't do it. Don't you do

it, it has already been in there

once.

It has the title of worst

film of the year, ouch!

There's also awards for best

actor and best actress.

And there was also a trophy

for Mel Gibson, in Daddy's Home 2.

Well done to all the,

winners of the razzies.

For having the worst movies of 2018!

Well done.

Let's kick off some sport now.

Katarina Johnson Thompson brought

home Britain's first gold

medal at the World Indoor Atheletics

championships in birmingham.

She was already in first place

going into the fifth and final

event of the pentathlon,

the 800 metres, where she breezed

through to her first

international win.

KTJ's gold is Britain's second medal

of the championships,

Laura Muir brought home the first,

a bronze in the 3000 metres

and she's hoping for another medal

today in the 1500 metres.

Good luck Laura!

Elinor Barker was

involved in a huge crash

in the opening scratch race

of the women's Omnium.

Ouch!

Luckily she was able

to continue and finished

the event in 6th place.

And finally

despite the cold weather this week

all the premier league games are set

to go ahead this weekend,

Burnley who haven't won in 11 games

will be taking on Everton

in the early kick-off

while Liverpool will have the chance

to move back into second place

if they beat Newcastle later

later this afternoon.

Now in this wintry weather

you might want to curl

up with a good book.

But how about putting pen

to paper and writing your

own incredible story?

Fancy that?

Well we've spoke to some

of your favourite authors this

week for their top tips

on writing a winner.

Let your imagination go whenever it

wants to go and don't stop yourself.

Pick something that really happened

to you, something exciting or scary

and then had loads of stuff inside

gets really good and wonderful.

You

might think, I can't write about

hyenas because I have never met a

hyena, but you can imagine what a

hyena is like.

The most important

thing is to have as much fun as you

can, don't think that there is any

such thing as a right story. The

only thing there is is your story.

Always keep a pencil with you. And

here is a good place to store a

pencil, like this, so then you can

always draw.

Write and read a lot,

as much as you can, because the more

you do it the better you get and the

more you read the more you see what

other people do and how they do it

so readers wanted your card and

absorb all of your favourite books

and authors and implement that into

your own writing.

As Philip Larkin

the poet said, he write the book

that you yourself would most like to

read but nobody has bothered to

write for you. And so whatever you

love most that is what you write

about. And it will be a really good

book.

Everyone deeds to find it own

way but for me the most supportive

thing is to see the book as a sort

of map and the most important point

of a map is the end.

And finally pet lovers

in the Phillipines have been taking

taking part in the

annual doggy fun run.

Races took part over

1.5, 3 and 5 km and the aim was tor

cross the line alongside your pet

partner, although.

I am not sure this is necessarily

allowed, either. That is pretty pure

sportsmanship.
