Big news for footie fans -

it's been confirmed that video

assistance referees are set

to be used in this year's World Cup.

It's a system which has been tested

out in some games to decide

goals and penalties.

But it's also been criticised,

especially this week

in the Tottenham vs Rochdale match.

Now to that wintry

weather we've been having.

After some serious snow

there are now weather warnings

for ice across much of the UK.

1.5 million of them who've only

just been discovered!

were studying photos

from space of an island

near near Antarctica

patches of bird poo.

of thousands of Adelie penguins.

Over in the US, all the biggest

movie stars are getting ready

to celebrate the best

films this year.

But who's going to

celebrate the worst?

Well, that's the job of the Razzies!

Yep, it's the trophy

no actor wants to get.

The Razzies are mock awards that

take place every year before

Athletics Championships.

And Laura Muir, who brought home

Britain's first medal -

a bronze in the 3000 metres -

is hoping for another medal this

evening in the 1500 metres.

Elinor Barker was involved in a huge

crash in the opening scratch race

of the women's omnium.

Ouch!

Luckily, she was able

to continue and finished

the event in sixth place.

And finally, despite

the cold weather this week

all the Premier League

games are set to go

ahead this weekend.

Burnley, who haven't won in 11

games, are currently 1-0 down

to Everton in the early kick-off.

But what if you don't

know where to start?

Well, here are some top authors

with their tips to help you.

Let your imagination go whenever it

wants to go and don't stop yourself.

Pick something that really happened

to you, something exciting or scary

and then add loads of

stuff inside gets really

weird and wonderful.

You might think, I can't write

about hyenas because I have never

met a hyena, but you can imagine

what a hyena is like.

The most important thing is to have

as much fun as you can -

don't think that there is any such

thing as a right story.

The only thing there

is is your story.

Always keep a pencil with you.

so then you can always draw.

Write and read a lot,

as much as you can, because the more

you do it the better you get

and the more you read the more

you see what other people do

into your own writing.

has bothered to write for you.

And so whatever you love most,

that is what you write about.

And it will be a really good book.
