Hi, I'm Ricky, it's Monday and this is Newsround.

:00:00.:00:07.

We bring you the result of last night's Voice final.

:00:08.:00:12.

And the 11-year-old boy making a huge impact

:00:13.:00:14.

But first, the winner of The Voice has been decided.

:00:15.:00:30.

Turn down the volume now if you don't want to know.

:00:31.:00:37.

Last night's final saw Tom Jones' act Into The Dark

:00:38.:00:40.

and Jennifer Hudson's finalist Mo go head-to-head.

:00:41.:00:41.

Mo, congratulations, you are the winner of The Voice, 2017!

:00:42.:00:52.

The 21-year-old will start work on a new album.

:00:53.:00:56.

There was some drama earlier on the show when a fan invaded

:00:57.:00:59.

Celtic have won the Scottish Premiership title for a sixth year

:01:00.:01:17.

The team have already won the Scottish League Cup

:01:18.:01:21.

and are now aiming for a treble in the Scottish Cup.

:01:22.:01:24.

There was relief for Arsene Wenger with his team drawing 2-2

:01:25.:01:26.

Arsenal had lost four out of their previous five

:01:27.:01:30.

Premier League games, but lots of fans are still

:01:31.:01:32.

The Gunners are currently sitting sixth in the table.

:01:33.:01:35.

And Swansea didn't do much to help themselves avoid relegation

:01:36.:01:38.

from the Premier League with a goalless draw

:01:39.:01:40.

Swansea sit just one point above the bottom three.

:01:41.:01:48.

Heading onto the water now, and the famous boat race took place

:01:49.:01:50.

yesterday afternoon between Oxford and Cambridge universities.

:01:51.:01:54.

The race has been officially happening for 163 years now,

:01:55.:01:57.

and this year it was the Oxford men who won.

:01:58.:02:00.

The win being their fourth in five years.

:02:01.:02:03.

While in the women's race, Oxford had a terrible

:02:04.:02:06.

start, getting an oar stuck right at the beginning,

:02:07.:02:08.

leaving Cambridge an easy run to the winners' podium.

:02:09.:02:14.

Now to the kid taking on a mammoth music mission.

:02:15.:02:16.

When Matthew's teacher spotted his talent at playing the violin,

:02:17.:02:18.

he wondered if he could lead a whole orchestra.

:02:19.:02:21.

At 11-years-old, he's ready to become one of the world's

:02:22.:02:34.

Pretty soon, he's going to be up on stage at the front

:02:35.:02:39.

of this Symphony Orchestra, leading them through a performance

:02:40.:02:44.

of an operetta called Die Fledermaus.

:02:45.:02:46.

Tell me a little bit about why you've decided to do conducting.

:02:47.:02:50.

At the start I never really wanted to start conducting because a few

:02:51.:02:56.

years back my music teacher told me to learn this conducting

:02:57.:02:59.

piece, Die Fledermaus, which I'm performing now,

:03:00.:03:01.

But at the time I wasn't able to conduct this

:03:02.:03:09.

This is a really important rehearsal for Matthew,

:03:10.:03:13.

it's one of the last chances for the players to get everything

:03:14.:03:16.

There are 75 players in the orchestra and it's his job

:03:17.:03:22.

to lead them, keeping them all in time with each other

:03:23.:03:25.

and checking that the audience can hear all the different parts.

:03:26.:03:36.

My job with the orchestra is keeping time, making sure they're

:03:37.:03:38.

I'm just controlling how they play, I can control if they play loud

:03:39.:03:46.

all of those adults? It is hard, because as a kid I'm not usually in

:03:47.:04:05.

control of them, they are in control of May!

:04:06.:04:09.

When I'm playing the song, I have to tell them what to do,

:04:10.:04:18.

and what to do when they start and when they finish,

:04:19.:04:33.

He's better than some adult conductors I've played under before,

:04:34.:04:35.

Finally what do you think this strange image behind me is?

:04:36.:04:40.

Well, it's actually the winner of the Engineering

:04:41.:04:43.

and Physical Sciences Research Council photography competition.

:04:44.:04:45.

And this image shows us a close up of some swirling ink made

:04:46.:04:49.

It was taken by James Macleod and beat more than 100

:04:50.:04:52.

That's all from me, Newsround's back right here in about half an hour.

:04:53.:05:05.

It's the start of the week, and Wild and Weird is coming up next.

:05:06.:05:12.
